Thanks for the training video. In your shoes, I would've probably gone overlords for the photon coating, trying to save my crawlers from all those elemental effects and oil, but I feel I would've been wrong since your use of the tarantulas as your effective tanks was brilliant. Maybe opponent should've taken a MP, or phoenixes instead of the Wraiths, to deal with all your medium units, I wonder?
Thanks for the training video. I loved the other one you did on sandworms as well. I think this one is more successfull. What's next? IS there a way to make war factory work? I seem to just get death rayed whenever I try.
Factories are a little trickier since the nerfs on release. They tend to either be very prominent or absent in the meta depending on their buffs/nerfs. Right now it mostly works as a gutshot unit, or in comps where you fully commit to it (though the resource management is tricky). xTheConclusion/xTheFunPolice is a player that has been playing factory quite a bit in high MMR with varied results. I plan to upload a video this week of a close game where I faced a factory!
Great video! I was very surprised the opponent never went air until he was near death, it seemed an obvious counter. But by then it was indeed too late. Question; how do you counter phoenixes from the opponent? It seems they would do very well against this alongside something like ranged arclights for chaffclear.
If the opponent goes for early phoenixes I would probably just mirror and buy a phoenix myself. No need for me to overcommit to anti-air, since he will need to contest my ground units to prevent early tower debuffs.
i like the spider, but instead of mechanical rage i like to take the repair.... this keeps them alive early rounds and level so fast that the opponent needs to respond with a giant. thx for the nice explanation and tips how to play this
Field maintenance is definitely a viable tech as well! For me, mech rage is my '4th tech slot'. I rarely click it. I choose not to run FM because if makes other techs more expensive and I usually want to get HE + range somewhat quickly.
This was good video. I have been trying to play and learn more agro, but I'm only comfortable playing few commander with agro favored units. If I can start adding Tarantula agro start to my viable starts. I should have more options.
Papa ours here : why up the tower at 6:48 inbstead of leveling up the tarentula? Said earlier that's a play that snowball quite fast. Coz the relocating of the wasp to deal with the badger?
Mainly to protect myself from a counter-attack on the left side yes. Some people might try to react to the wasp play by launching a stronger offensive on the left and an early tower take would hurt me more than not taking a tarantula level there. It is definitely fine to take the gamble and prioritise a unit level there as well though. All about risk management and your evaluation of the board (I felt rather comfortable so I didn't feel the need to be very greedy)
I like to play tarantula/phoenix as well. So if I need single-target AA it will usually be phoenixes. Against wasps it would be mustangs. Fortress with AA can also be an option if offered from unit reinforcements.
Mech rage is my '4th tech slot' and the tech I click the least. I might click it towards the end of a game to speed up my tarantulas (and their chaff clear) and pressure the opponent even more. It is definitely not a tech I prioritise taking though
Great video, nice breakdown, very wellspoken. will be watching more.
These videos are so legit.. learning a lot!

Top vid as usual

Looks good. Just 3 hackers at mid , no range , no tech like that !

If I go Tarantula, I always get boated hard
Awsome thanks i will try to emulate that for sure !

What is your preferred way to get anti air when running tarantula/sabers?

Why do you have the mechrage equipped? When do you use it?

@@RoosterTH-cam interesting. Had a lot of success with it 1500-1600 mmr, but now struggling with it. Its nice in early to mid game but very expensive
