I have heard that Yasir Qadhi is not a scholar in the sense of him being knowledgeable enough to give fatwas, he has rather called himself a student of knowledge. In addition, sheikh or imam may be an accurate description as well.

Moo Miller totally agree. Huge problem and has personally effected my marriage along with other issue. Mental therapy and ruqya need to go hand in hand with this issue. Perhaps maybe even marriage counseling after that’s completed

@Moo Miller Jazakallah. Please pray for me. I’ve had such difficulty in having my husband not only admit his problems but then get help for it. His family is useless and placed all the blame on me and led us to a divorce. I am devastated but know I did this for the sake of Allah swt and didn’t know what else to do when he refused to seek help. Self control in all matters can be such a huge issue for people
@@memoonaumer2868 I have no doubt on my husband’s sincerity in practice and prayer. There was some elements of showing off to and for people, but I don’t believe it was all done for show. But despite that, he still had these problems. Please pray for me and my marriage. I definitely wish to reunite but only if he changes.

Good talk. Halal sex is a private experience and choices vary. Leaving aside the two prohibited sex acts, and criminally inclined sex acts, I get a feeling that more sensible scholars tend to label a sex act makrooh when they personally find it disgusting, while the less sensible scholars tend to label haram the sex acts that they personally find disgusting. Both groups of scholars forget that what they find disgusting, a couple may find it very romantic and gratifying, and Allah in his infinite wisdom never pronounced any judgment on these acts through his final messenger. At the end, this lecture demonstrates how smart our beloved prophet was on this issue.
Also, East has no shortage of sex libido and fetishes, just like West. East should stop feeling vein glorification of 'noble' sex practice, and so should West.
Not referring to anything particular, but I believe the scholars say there's a level dignity that is supposed to be present in a person at all times. So they say acts should not demean or humiliate a person in any way, even if there is mutual agreement/request. I suppose the question becomes who decides what is what? If it wasn't for the Hadiths and Eastern values, would those in the West view oral to be demeaning in any way? Allahualam

Mostly homosexual feelings, I believe. That is explicit in hadith. But with regards to self stimulation, there really isn’t anything said. Hence the various interpretations.

And they who guard their private parts

Islam doesn't prohibit marriage under the age of 18, actually its encouraged for adolescents to get married in the sunnah, so no problem for them to watch this beneficial video for people who reached the age of puberty
With due respect, it can cause harm to your penice, it can cause poor performance during actual intercourse with your wife by pre-ejaculating, it can cause deforming of the penice. If someone can not control his/her sexual desire and temptation then Sheikh you know more than I do what our beloved Prophet Mohammad ﷺ peace and blessings upon him said: You should fast.

As much as i know, ghusl is definitely required after the release of fluid no matter if its done by one self or together.
Ghusl is needed when you release your fluid and even if its not haram nowadays you shouldn’t do it because you can be addicted to it
Imam shafi has a valid point, those who get engages in these kinds of act mostly gets posses by evil shayateen especially in toilets and brother you are dealing with ruqya. I wonder how did you miss this point.

Masturbation (for both men and women) is haraam (forbidden) in Islam based on the following evidence: First from the Quraan: Imam Shafii stated that masturbation is forbidden based on the following verses from the Quraan (interpretation of the meaning): "And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts). Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, - for them, they are free from blame. But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors." 23.5-7 Here the verses are clear in forbidding all illegal sexual acts (including masturbation) except for the wives or that their right hand possess. And whoever seeks beyond that is the transgressor. "And let those who find not the financial means for marriage keep themselves chaste, until Allah enriches them of His bounty." 24.33. This verse also clearly orders whoever does not have the financial means to marry to keep himself chaste and be patient in facing temptations (including masturbation) until Allah enriches them of His bounty. Secondly, from the sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him): Abdullaah ibn Masood said, "We were with the Prophet while we were young and had no wealth whatsoever. So Allaahs Messenger said, "O young people! Whoever among you can marry, should marry, because it helps him lower his gaze and guard his modesty (i.e. his private parts from committing illegal sexual intercourse etc.), and whoever is not able to marry, should fast, as fasting diminishes his sexual power." Bukhari:5066. The hadeeth orders men who are not able to marry to fast despite the hardship encountered in doing so, and not to masturbate despite the ease with which it can be done. There are additional evidences that can be cited to support this ruling on masturbation, but due to the limited space we will not go through them here. Allaah knows what is best and most correct.
Masterbation is one of the reasons for divorce in this day and age. When masterbation is considered okay, it opens the door to addiction and can cause sexual issues between spouses, leading towards marital issues and even divorce!

I think.. West largely follows ur opinion, May be due to a sexually explicit society or people with more libidinal energy due to a high protein and steroid injected fast foods than what we largely follow in East.
The best solution for ones high sexual urge is to marry or fast... As Prophet Muhammad.. SAW has said.
I can tell you East has no shortage of sex libido and fetishes. East should stop fooling about it in vein glorification, and so should West.

Dear Shaykh If I could I would ask you these questions personally.
You are saying that masturbation and oral Intimacy is discouraged but not sinful. Aren't this going to open the door for sin? Because those who are going to take the path of masturbation they are going to to fantasies about the opposite gender. Isn't that Haram? Also there are health issue related to masturbation. Isn't it Haram to do the things that is harmful for the body? For example taking drags. Drag is not explicitly mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah yet it is sinful. At the same time oral Intimacy has negative health issue that can be tied to the cause of throat cancer. There are unimaginable germs and viruses in our privet part areas so should it be allowed knowingly put people's mouth there? Islam is a religion of fitra isn't it against that fitra?
You are saying oral intimacy is a cultural difference so it does not make it Haram if it is not mention explicitly in Quran and Sunnah. However, if the act is born out of vulgarity and sin and goes against the fitra of human what to do then?
I have learned from you a lot and still learning however, I think you should've use more Islamic common sense and not the rules of law. True some sahaba approved masturbation but in an extreme situation most of the time they gave the solution of marriage and made it easy. Please focus on making marriage easy.

I don't know your background but no enough scientific evidence in that regards. Besides even sexual intimacy can lead to diseases. And there is more risk of health in kissing than any other sexual fantacies
The health reasoning can not be that simply applied. There are so many things that can cause cancer yet it is not judged as haraam. For example, till this day, smoking is still NOT considered haraam in my country.
The germ reasoning is also not that simple. Our mouth is full of germs, fun fact. Another fun fact, urine is actually free of germs (if you have germs on your urine, you have an infection). The germs in urine are those that it carried as it travels through the urinary tract. But urine is still najis

My dear brothers. You fail to understand human beings. Maybe you judge all of humanity with the standard of yourselves. May Allah subhana ta'ala preserve your standards and taqwaa. But it is not as easy for the majority of unmarried male Muslim youth. Unless you both have talked to tens or hundreds of youth and can confirm that this is easy I believe you cannot make these assumptions.
Also no where in the Quran or Sunnah is written that fasting is better than masturbation. It is fasting better than zina. And although I agree that fasting is better than masturbation, I also agree with Dr YQ that when fasting does not work for a person, masturbation is indeed better than zina and in this case becomes mubaah.
Fasting may diminish sex drive due to lack of energy towards Iftar time but not so during earlier part of the day. In fact fasting by definition is abstaining from sex snd food during daytime which is why it is called fasting. So your argument stretches the meaning of the hadith, which basically prescribed fasting to abstain from sex, but never mentions it kills that passionate sex drive, and how about night time?
You have not contradicted him. He answered question based on Sin or not a sin. He answered as not a sin but very discouraged. You have only recommended a way to avoid it. Which may work or not depending on the persons sex drive.

Option C is to hit them lightly (i.e., no bruises, no hitting the face, no physical harm). In other words, it would be analogous to parents spanking their little kids on the behind without leaving any marks or causing any damage.

I just find it strange Shaykh Yasir Qadhi didn't want to mention it like he hiding this ruling that is there. I believe if a woman gets a spanking from her husband she might change her mind.

The Jewish Halacha knows why it is the WOMAN who is given the right to sex; the man is given the right to progeny. Sharia and Halacha meeti in about 7 out of 10 cases, too bad this is not one of them.
This is the problem our Muslim society has had for many decades. Many scholars have avoided these taboo subjects leading people away from Islam and then falling into fornication.
