The application of Shari'a law is always about practicality. Even in Nigeria, the Muslim-majority states implement only the aspects of Shari'a that are feasible. This is particularly important given that these states still have a significant non-Muslim population.

Men of today are not following any one scholar or any one madhab and just picking and choosing religion as they learn it for the first time after university! It’s so difficult for them to believe any hadith or verse. They just want to debate as if they are scholars!

I found it amusing when DYQ thought Shaykh Hatem would agree with him regarding segregation and free mixing in speeches and conventions he completely shut him down with his points

You can follow Brother Daniel , Shiekh Hatem and YQ all are legitimate, the line is not narrow, it is a river.

Are we still talking about free mixing? Don't we free mix in society with non Muslims anyway? why should it be an issue amongst ourselves as Muslims? This has caused a gulf between Muslim men and women who are reaching well into their thirties unable to get married and worse having not even had opportunities to ever talk to someone of the other gender for marriage because of this stupid free mixing nonsense. It has made a whole generation awkward and weird when it shouldn't be! It is the most natural thing in the world.
