If an elite is killed, if you do not have a regular to downgrade the elite dies even from a single hit, correct?
Why Wormtongue is not very usefull? It allows takin Rohan settlements with no resistance

T2 you could have got Aragorn. Move once using Character die, expecting not to get hit (1 die hitting on a 6). If you do get hit you can potentially lose Gandalf efficiently and use the WoW for GtW.
Assuming they miss, use a ring to separate companions, which let's you put Aragorn in Eastermet for 6 (3 fellowship + Strider's 3 movement). Then Dead Men with the Palantir (also getting a card draw from Gandalf). Then WoW to crown.
Probably means sacking off Lorien, or at least accepting a weaker defense, but that's potentially a lot of extra dice to defend elsewhere over the game.
(Also with Gandalf as guide you can use Wizard Staff, go a bit slower and get the bonus card draws too)
Excellent observation!! Absolutely true. I missed that. Thanks very much for posting. That's a fun line of play, and it saves my Muster action token, it lets them get Lorien under siege without any mustering in there, and gives up a ring. But in exchange, I get to draw an extra character card, get Aragorn turn 2 (which is a lot of extra dice) and defends Gondor. And then next turn Wizard's Staff. Cool play!
Interesting that on that last turn, shadow STILL had a chance to win even with how good that game was for FP. Shadow is moving plus a ring gives them just enough attacks to do 4 cities, and leaves one remaining die to remove bombadil (assuming FP played it to try to prevent 4 cities victory) with denethor's folly.

I think I would have played Wizard's Staff and got the card cycle, moved, then used a ring to move again if necessary, and if he still hadn't dinged Gandalf by that point, used the Will to move a third time.
T2- I cycle Theoden and move 2x.
T4- I would have played SP totally different. 3 dice used to feint towards Rivendell to have very little effect. You did muster up Rivendell costing you 2 musters...but that plays towards FP strength. Rohan cost SP the game

These were both good games but I do feel bad for your opponent it seems like they got a bit unlucky in both games 😅. I can't wait to see more and I hope you advance far into the tournament!
