I was surprised you didnt play isildur on turn 4 immediately afer FP hid following playing foul thing. If it reveals, you keep them out of mordor. If it hits a regular tile, you improve your probability of revealing them with all 3 of the moves they need to take to get to mordor.
I think I wanted to keep the pressure on militarily if I didn't need to use the C die, and instead use a P die next turn. I also knew that I could play Isildur's later in the turn if they weren't revealed by the normal hunts, and I don't think that changes the probability.
@@WarOfTheRingChamp maybe its a bit counterintuitive, but it does change the probability. Not by a lot, but the small shift is due to the increased likelihood of an eye depending on delaying playing the card. If you look at probability of a reveal conditional upon 1) rolling hits on the moves and 2) those hits being non-reveals, which is the only condition we care about here (because any reveals make the analysis moot). I come up with 86.4% chance of reveal (again, conditional upon rolling hits) if you play foul thing immediately, and an 84.1% chance of a reveal if you wait to play it until the fellowship has moved twice.
😂😂 the end using their dice to play the card to kill them so gangster
It was an accident!! :)
45:00 you can kill multiple companions to tank corruption? Thought it was one then rest is confronted normally
It's true you are only permitted to take a single "casualty" - but that word is doing a lot of lifting there. What's happening there is that Gimli is being taken as the sole casualty (reducing corruption from 4 to 2), and then a hobbit immediately becomes the guide. Both hobbits are immediately eligible to use their guide ability, which allows them to separate from the fellowship to reduce corruption by 1. So the first hobbit separates (reducing corruption from 2 to 1), then the second becomes guide and the process repeats to bring corruption all the way to zero.
Exactly as Sirrus notes, you can use as many GUIDE abilities as you want, if a new guide appears. So the hobbits can each use their guide ability in a row, which is what's happening here.
Why didn't they play Bilbo's Song when they got to 11 corruption? I'd have drawn a character card, then played the best healing card I had.
I think they were hoping to get down to Gollum first, so Bilbo does 2 healing rather than 1.
I agree with Zarl!
@@WarOfTheRingChamp I think this video is giving creedence to keeping strider until you're at 8 corruption w/ athelas in hand
