You know whats better than 2x TC with a Full Frame setup? Using no TC and a EOS R7 in 4k60 crop mode (2200mm 1:1 pixel readout) Yeah 200--800 sounds amazing and it probaby is, but i also enjoy my RF 800 F11, half the weight, as good stabiliser and HALF THE PRICE With my R7 i have anyways 240-960mm uncropped if i use the also heavy Sigma 150-600C (F5--6.3, better than the 200-800 :P)
Will have to give it a go sometime, feel like it would be cool to do a longer than 1600mm shot and see how crazy we can go! so will bare that in mind! Me personally I rate the sigma 150-600mm quite highly, one to note for me is the 60-600mm, we have done videos with both!
@@cameracentretv I will wait for some long term 200-800 reviews and then think about selling RF 800 + 150--600C for a 200-800, lets see if its worth it or i better stick with the lightweight 800 F11 (which is AWESOME for hikes in the nature)
@@cameracentretv The 150-600C Sigma is just "annoying" if i want video, i either have to crop for stabilisation in post and need 60 fps, better 120 fps for stable footage or tripod. But beside the bad stabiliser, sometimes slow AF and "heavy" weight... the 150-600 is a really great lens with even better than great price/performance ratio.
@@cameracentretv I was already stunned a bit by the fact you had the "heavy" 200-800 on a gimbal :D I have only a (barely if at all) used smartphone gimbal
Thanks for the review. My friend and I pre ordered it can’t wait to see it
Hope you enjoy it!
Awesome review. Thanks. I have one on order.
Thank you!
You still can fire the speedlite in such distance???
We used a continuous light for this photo. Impressively it did work!
Good review video
Thank you!
