bro, you took an excellent footage in intro but it is so easy to remove dust from the screen and clean fingerprints from the shiny surfaces

for 50-100$ will be cool , but for 300 that sucks , just because it has the leica name , dose not mean that is good ,,, i buy a rolley action camera that was terrible , when you can get a portable blutooth printer from 50$ that will get you bigger images , and just use you phone ,

for being a 1960s lens, its sharpness is quite good! I love its fat short look, feels good in the hands focusing it, you get a lot of control on the big focus ring. And man for video, wow!!! that is like bring an artwork to life!! where do you ever see that. amazing. I bought one in 2012 on ebay for $2K, sold it in 2014 for the same amount because I had found one for $175 in mint condition at an estate sale, the guy was a camera collector.

A7c ii smaller but better than A7 IV A7c R smaller but image quality and functionalities below A7R V .. You could have opted for 2 bodies for A7c ii + A7R V

I’m looking at this as a replacement for my LUMIX LX100, since Panasonic has given up on the series. I’m also eager to see the rumored 1 inch model. I would miss the leaf shutter on the Lx, and I hope the Fuji will have it.

Would you recommend the fujifilm 27 mm for it? Also any filter recommendations?

The first version og the Sony 85mm 1.4 GM was NOT and is not worth buying, too heavy and not good enough optical image performance. I got a used Zeiss Batis Sonnar 85mm 1.8 *, but now I also have the new Sony 85mm 1.4 GM II, the new Sony 85mm is exellent with outstanding good optical image performance, it is sharper than the Sony 135mm 1.8 GM which I also have, so I can highly recommend the new Sony 85mm 1.4 GM II !

Has this video been slowed down? It sounds far more natural at 1.25x speed

I'm also waiting for an A7cr II. What's holding me back from switching from my A7r IV is the non-fully mechanical shutter and I'm missing 1-2 custom buttons. The grip from the A6700 would also be nice.

I shoot video so initially thought the Samyang lens was the better option with the par-focal feature and lower price. After shooting around 80 weddings with the Samyang I found it to be temperamental with focusing. 99% of the time it was fine, but occasionally it would completely 'crash' and in order to get the focus working again I'd have to disconnect and reconnect the lens - I completely lost faith in the lens when this happened mid wedding ceremony, and the lens went insanely out of focus rendering a minute or so of the couple's footage un-usable (luckily I had a secondary angle covering my ass) The lens wouldn't respond until I disconnected it from the camera and re-connected. I also found that in auto focus when zooming in or out, the autofocus would loose focus momentarily (so much for par-focal) which is an issue when you're trying to shoot video of say the bride coming down the aisle. After 10months use, I've now sent the Samyang back for repair under warranty, hoping they find something as the problem is intermittent and not immediately obvious. I've since bought the Tamron, and I've found it to be a much better made lens and the focus issues have gone away. - FYI I'm shooting on Sony a7siii's and yes I did do a firmware update on the Samyang. So IMO Tamron has made a better product so spend the extra coin for the peace of mind. For weddings, this focal range and aperture is unbeatably versatile, if you've got the arm strength (as it gets pretty heavy hand held) - you can shoot an entire wedding with it if you wanted to - PS. Also the Samyang lens used to creep open if you filmed in a downwards angle uuhhgg.

I can't shell out $2400 for the L, but I was thinking about buying a used EF 24-70 L 2.8 and a converter. I can get a decent used one for $700. Any advice whether I should go that way or with the new 28-70? Would appreciate your advice. Thanks.

Like the lens very much; could be my (very) long lens on a6700. However still no possibility to rent it at “my” store. AND: question Why would sigma not make a speedbooster so that makes the lens for the APSC sensor cameras two lenses: > one with extra reach 750mm > one with gaining 1 stop light at 500mm. In that way it’s price is more “bang for the buck”.
