Honestly one of the best reactions to this series because even after this episode like 80% of other reaction videos don’t get it until the series is practically over
Clues about Archer's identity before this episode: - Pendant. - Archer told Shirou the exact same thing Kiritsugu told him - Shirou was apparently ridiculously good at archery (This fact stands out since it was brought up while being seemingly irrelevant - you never see Shirou uses a bow) - Archer's sword style fits Shirou so much that he picked it over Saber's teaching - Saber told Shirou that he can one day become as good as Archer - Archer said he went through the same thing when Shirou first projected swords and was paralyzed for a bit - Archer knew Saber enough to be personally invested in her, but she doesn't recognize him - Both Rin and Caster said that they're very similar - Most of Archer's yapping is directed specifically at Shirou's ideal Honorary Clues: - Archer cleaned Rin's living room and made tea for her - EYEBROWS
Yeah project mountain was turning almost every scene into yap session like how it was in VN without being drugged out.Honestly the 2006 version had the tendency to add unnacacery shit while UBW has the opposite problem of cutting a lot of it ...on the other hand anime only addition's are awesome.
3:05 Most likely Archer used mostly Caster`s mana during his fight with Lancer and, as Archer class Servant, he has some benefits, like Independent Action, that was mentioned at 6:55. Btw, Gil as Archer has such high rank in this skill that he barely needs a Master.
@@BekindBekbek Due to 'circumstances' he only needs very little mana to survive. Right now he doesn't need a Master to do anything, even if he needs to use high cost mana abilities. Though normally Rank A Independent action lets him survive around a week and he needs a master to use high cost abilities. Opening his vault requires no mana either.
A rank independent action is a week and Gill under Kirei has it ranked up to A+ witch does allows him to stay in this world without a master as long as he has mana for it.Also not only Archer was using exclussively Caster's mana in a fight against Cu Chulainn he also waited for Caster to heal him after their fight AND also killed her by using her mana by creating phantasm's that was canselling out regenerative and recovery spell's like Herpe, unlike Gill who could do the same but exclusivelly decited to make her death as long and painful as possible....
8:11 There it is the first reality marble and the only reality marble possessed by a mage introduced in the fate franchise. Going back to episode 13, when Rin and Archer were talking, he said Rin is someone who shines more than ordinary people and doesn't regret her mistakes. During the same episode after Archer's betrayal, when Shirou and Rin are talking, Shirou says something similar to what Archer said to Rin. Shirou and Rin banter is pretty similar to Archer and Rin (this one is more obivous in the VN). If you watch/read the fate route, Archer gives a lot of hints of his identity, which at the time seemed irrevelant and became more obvious in UBW. It still surprises me some fans were able to figure out Archer's identity from eyebrows only in the fate route.
Finally caught up. 1:35 well it wasn’t just the words. It was the swords that suddenly materialised. 2:58 yes. But as Archer, he has independent action. Allowing him to act independently for a degree of time. 6:07 important note. This was actually part of Archers overall plan. He set things up so the two could form a pact. Unfortunately, they did it ahead of him killing Shirou. 8:04 correct. Introducing, Unlimited Blade Works: Infinite Creation of Swords. And to formally introduce Archer, he is nicknamed by those who know him as "The Blacksmith Heroic Spirit" or "The Heroic Spirit of Wrought Iron". 9:05 he can’t reproduce weapons that weren’t forged by human hands. Excalibur was created with the aid of Faires, a divine weapon, so it’s impossible to replicate for him. 9:21 basically he’s making certain Excalibur isn’t used. 10:21 he passed out from forcibly collapsing the reality marble. 14:25 that’s the main reason she’s been getting angry at Shirou. She’s been seeing Archers past, and noticed that they were alike. 14:41 they all know the truth. Saber and Shirou both know now. Shirou had instinctively sensed it from the moment he saw Archer. That’s why he had such hostility towards him from the start. 15:37 a bit of trivia, but Rin had worked it out quite a while ago. That Shirou and Archer were the same person. At first she just thought they were a bit alike. Then as she got closer to Shirou, she started to realise that they were the same, in the worst ways possible. But she refused to acknowledge it, because she felt that doing so would be the true, definitive end to her and Archers partnership. 16:44 well, Shinji’s a moron. We all knew that. He honestly thinks Gilgamesh is his obedient servant. 19:42 it wasn’t an illness. The grail cursed him when he rejected it. Sentencing him to a slow death. 20:27 The shock of Casters sudden death.
@@SUPERSIDESWIPER 9:05 there is at least one exception in form of Avalon plus case from Extra plus normal ending in HF. In VN there is a section that gives you info about Servants (name, story, stats, abilities and some other stuff) based on what you discovered already, and it is said here that part of Archer`s equipment, including his bow, made from materials that is unknown to humanity yet
@BekindBekbek he died somewhere in his early thirties so I don't think he would encounter any of that stuff till after he became a Guardian where he's too busy killing shit to make equipment. Plus graphene is a genuinely good material for archery just extremely expensive
@@dragonballoblivion8273 It's possible, but I'm not sure if graphene could be able to withstand outrageous shit like him pulling with essentially multiple tons worth of force fast enough to fire arrows at machine gun speeds, I'm not really familiar with the material like that.
@anusaukko6792 I asked chatgpt and apparently a 6ft graphene European longbow should be able to hold 400-500 pounds Add mage craft like reinforcement and how He can read the history of weapons so maybe he picked up some magical enhancements from some of his weapons and then applied them to modern materials
This episode was simply great. Archer and Shirou's relationship is so good. The rejection, the "inner" struggle and conflicting ideals for these two characters is honestly the best part of this series for me.
Oh believe me, some people even after all of this and later episode still haven't found out Shirou is Archer, some even clung to the theory that Archer is Kiritsugu even when the series spell it to your face, i think you guys find out at this point is normal, aside from the eyebrows things which is kinda funny, some reactor found out or suspicious they are the same when Shirou found the Pendant at Rin place
Fun fact, with Shirou as her Master, Sabers stats range from C to B, with relatively high luck actually helping her survive several dicey moments. With Rin as her Master, her luck drops, but the rest of her stats SKYROCKETS to B to A levels. Unlucky as she is, Rin is just that good.
