I wanna retire in Helen. My fiance and I visited Helen a few months ago and it's the MOST beautiful place and I've been around the world. Its so quaint. So much fun stuff to do tubing, golf, shopping and the food is amazeballs ❤❤❤
Love it! Now you're up in our neck of the woods. Check out Fort Mountain, Georgia when you get the chance. More great views and some cool history. Have you been to Kennesaw Mountain yet? Gentle hike or drive to the top with nice view of Atlanta.
Helen is a fun place for sure. The town has enough to keep you entertained for a day or 2. The nearby, Unicoi State Park has many outdoor activities. There are places to go tubing. And there are a number of nice hiking spots nearby.
There are no shortage of hotels. I stayed at the Unicoi state park lodge. If you go hiking alone I would definitely bring pepper spray at least, there are bears in the area. But there's usually a good number of people around.

We were just in Blue Ridge! If it wasnt an hour away we wouldve come up there. We will be in Blairesville in Thanksgiving. Hope to travel there

That's fine. We went there because locals recommended it and we enjoyed what we purchased. Such things will always be subjective.
