We might be biased because we live here, but we believe there is no where prettier in the fall than North Geoffrgia! Long before we were vlogging, we ate the menu at that Huddle House. It's probably one of the best in the area. During the Summer months, there's so many tubes in the water, you can't see the river, but we highly suggest doing the river tubing trip. It's so worth it. Paul's on the River is fantastic and so is Hofbrau house. The food is SO good. We will make a point to try the place y'all ate at. The food looked AMAZING!!!!!!

We have never been to Helen GA but now that will be put on our list, to visit. Love all the unique German decor, styles, food! We have friends from Germany and have visited a couple times. Ron is not a cabbage fan but I am 😊..Thanks again for sharing your adventures!

My Mother and I went to Helen in the early 80s around May or June. Glad it was not crowded.

Helen Georgia is a beautiful place I hope you all have a lot of fun and learn a lot and relax. I live in Temple Georgia which is about 2 and 1/2 hours away I like to go there and visit on my way up to the mountains

Just got back from Helen georgia about 2 weeks ago. Love the German food, the German beer 🍺. The atmosphere and friendly locals. Had a great time looking forward to going back next year. I hope you guys had a great time, like I did. The pretzels at the beer tent are served with a great beer dip.

I was in Helen for a few weekdays right before your visit. The crowds were definitely lighter earlier in the week so the only place that I had to wait in a line was Hofer's Bakery. My Old Bavaria Inn video won't be out until next week as it was the last spot I ate at before heading out of town.
All of my children have been telling me how great Helen is...I think after seeing this my husband and I may actually go.

Will, it's called Linzeraugen. They give in many Versions. In Oktoberfest is with a Heart, all time is just a Ring and all Traditionell is a Linzertorte called. This is a Cake. It's so yammy. It is a Austrian Traditionell. In Austria is a Country called Linz. 25 km wehre I lives. It is a beautiful Country. Hope you and Dawn visit Austrian. You come to me, and I want be your little Guid. You always welche.❤

i have my dad's cuckoo clock, his parents my grandparents came from Vienna, spoke nothing but german and raised my dad in Milwaukee, i'm the first born in Chicago, my dad was a great harmonica player, he loved octoberfests.

Dawn's food looked really good. I've never been there. Maybe I'll go at Christmas time if I don't go to Pigeon Forge.
Helen has a Christmas Parade and a Christmas Market. I haven't been to those as I just made my first trip for Oktoberfest during some weekdays right before they made this video it looks like.
We were there in March. Maybe October is better. When we went ithe streets were dirty. Most all gifts were over priced. You have to pay to park even at your hotel! Or walk a long way. Not very handicap friendly. We did love the GENERAL STORE THE MOST. GREAT BREAKFAST! BOUGHT SOME BISCUIT MIX, WHICH WE JUST MADE ON TRIP TO GATLINBURG. ENJOY YA'LL! ❤️
I stayed at the Hoffbrau Hotel and while it definitely was not the nicest place it was free to park and near Betty's Country Store not to mention right next to the Hoffbrau Restaurant which was also some good food.
We just missed y’all! We were there last Tuesday. Maybe we will catch you in the Smokies soon!

I’m jealous, I wish I had thought to go over there this past weekend! I love Helen, GA and love the German restaurants there! My wife and I love German food so much I surprised her one night by making a German dinner including the red cabbage here at home. Hope you all had a great time!

Looks really nice. Myrtle Beach has a really good German restaurant too. We ate there last year and enjoyed it.

The Tradisonell Meal of Oktoberfest is very good. Schweinebraten with Sauerkraut and Semmelknödel, or Brathebdl, with Potatosalad, or Backhendlsalat, or original Münchner Weißbrot wit Mustard and Prezel, Bratwurst with Sauerkraut and Mustard, , Songs are Fläche Soup called in Germany in Austrian called it Frittaten Suppe, Leberknödelsuppe, or Ente with Rotkraut and Biersosse, Schweizer an Bavarian Wurstsalad, and for sweets is a Oktoberfest Heart, Schaumrolle, Linzeraugen, gebrannte Maneln or Nüsse, it is Nuts.We also have a Traditional Schnitzel. Wienerschnitzel with Potatosalad or Frech Fries with Cranberry, or Jagerschnitzel with Pilz Soße and Rindsroulade with Rotkraut, Potato and Soße or Knödel.

Loved the trip. I want to go to Helen Ga.Its not but about an hr away. I've only been once 4th of July. Would u believe everything was closed. We did ride in a buggy though. That was yrs ago.
Nesting dolls were traditionally used to tell stories each doll represents a different part of it. That’s why you usually see older ones with tons of dolls inside. I loved this video, I have wanted to go to Helen for years, was the drive from Tennessee beautiful? I live up in Knoxville.
