We love Helen, GA. If you go to the welcome center they show a movie of the town's history.
Tubing in Helen is often referred to “Shooting to ‘Hooch”. We visit here often, in fact about to head there later this week!

Helen is one of my favorite places to stay. I live close by and let me tell you the best airbnb i ever had was in Helen/Sautee. It was AMAZING i have never stayed in anything like it and it was one of a kind. I usually visit once a year to shoot the hootch and drink/eat at my favorite places.
That's a nice part of Georgia. Early in your video, I saw you drive by Unicoi State Park, just outside of Helen. Three or four years ago, I was a campground host there.

Y’all went! Yay!😎 Y’all make amazing video productions. Your parents are wonderful and funny. Mom is reigning put-put🥇💪champion. Dad is German linguist extraordinaire; nein!😜 If y’all go back, you must eat at Unicoi Lodge and State Park which is only two miles up the road from Helen. Their buffet is bar none, absolutely amazing!🤤 They also have zip-lines and other activities. So cool y’all made it happen. Glad y’all had a great time.✌️

Potato pancakes are also a southern dish, as is beer cheese, especially in Lexington, KY. Most southerners who go to Helen use is as a nice place to stay while touring the mountains. Near Helen is Unicoi State Lodge, and it is still the best place to stay with a either a breakfast by order or sometimes the best buffet breakfast you will eat. Not far from Helen is several wineries (California owned), and it has become a future place for a better California wine (locally grown).
Looks like such a fun place! Definitely reminds me of Frankenmuth.
We rented a house up on the mountain in Blue Ridge GA when we went to that area. Our driveway was twice as steep as that one.
This German town is so cute & funny. I went to the actual Hoffbrahaus in Munich, Germany in 1994. Schnitzel is good. It's funny Jen, I'm not a beer 🍺 person either. But, the one beer I liked was in Germany. It was nice to see your parents/ family. We've seen Wil's plenty.

We live 30 mins from Helen and always enjoy trips over there! Glad yall enjoyed it! Fun fact, anytime we get bad rains the river floods Helen something fierce! Jenn, your parents are so hilarious!

Bodensee restaurant about a block off the main drag has the best German food in Helen.

Yeah my mom's mom was a part German and then the mom's a half sister married a German and he always came our house to use the phone and stuff to call his mom always listen to him talk German to her and stuff and it was fun listening to him talking Germany he said some stuff everything it was comical I liked it and stuff I like going Germany one day but right now I can't afford it but you guys having a good time there very good bye-bye
