Thank you for the “difference” blend mode to align the layers. I always lower the opacity of the top layer but your method is way more efficient. Awesome video. Thank you Colin!

Really good tutorial, you packed so much in to this one, and for us non-professional users just so useful and a great reference, so thank you very much

Awesome Colin! I'm guilty of turning the opacity down to line things up, I never even thought of using the Difference blend mode. I will for now on though! This helped me tremendously!

Thank you for another great tutorial. Masking / blending layers and compositing all still remain my all time favourite thing to do in PS. By the way, the blending you were able to achieve in the final view of the image, was simply wonderful!:)

Hi Colin, I use this method for a landscape photo - one exposed for the top and the other for the bottom. What can you do so your brush doesn’t go over or under like in a skyline?

I have noticed that the commands that you are using to combine the images appear to be a little different as I have a Windows PC and you appear to be using a Mac.

Great video, but in two days I will have forgotten how to do this, a written 10 easy steps for the big dummy (me being the dummy) certainly would be helpful. Thanks again.
