what about the WWAN slot ?? can we upgrade with that slot sir? I already got one of NVMe in my first hard drive. but I want to add the second hard drive through the WWAN slot
But the nvme will not run at full speed because the extension is sata (max speed ≈ 600mb/s) You need PCIE port gen 3 or above to get speed of 1500mb/s There is no point to use that extension just install normally ssd (cheaper)
Just to be clear, the NVMe caddy came with the T470's I purchased. So, of course I purchased NVMe SSD's. Fairly inexpensive on Amazon in Canada. Very similar in pricing to 2.5" SSD's.
Hi.. I want to upgrade my SSD Lenovo ThinkPad T470 to 1TB and RAM to 32mb but I have Windows 11 already installed on the computer.... Does Windows disappear after the install and if so what would you recommend doing?
You would have to clone your existing SSD to a new 1TB SSD, which has it's complications at time but is a relatively easy process. Other than that, a fresh install of Windows is also an option.
Are you currently running a Hard Drive or a Solid State Drive? An SSD is an excellent choice and should be considered before RAM, so long as you are running minimum 4GB DDR4 in this laptop. Then, definitely get the RAM up to 8GB or more, depending on what you want to do.

Hello Mister,
Could you please share a link where to find the adapter or a complete technical name of it?
Google suits for Lenovo ThinkPad or Lenovo caddy connector for SSD.
Browse through Google images until you see the one that match your laptop specs
Just as the other person said. Search eBay or Google shopping for "ThinkPad T470 NVMe caddy"
how do you fit the hard drive to laptop
A 2.5" SSD or HDD can only be install if you have the appropriate adapter
what is the adapter called so i can look for it on ebay
