Another great review for the books. Does this light have a smart feature that automatically turns on when it detects a movement ?

The light does support a standby feature when the brake sensor mode is on. If no motion is detected for 2 minutes, the light goes into a standby mode. As with other lights, I think it's still better to turn it off if you are not using it for longer periods of time as the standby mode has a small power draw.

Hi what do you think of the brake sensor on this lamp? Did you see it works correctly? How is compared to other lamps like the seemee 300? Is it better or worse? It seems to me it doesn't work so good but I only tried it in my garage pushing and stopping manally the bike. Let me know please. Thanks

Brake sensors are always a bit hit or miss in my experience. I think the RAVEMEN light has a lower sensitivity so it seems to work more consistently and doesn't trigger as often as the Seemee 300 taillight. Until brake sensors are actually tied to your brake levers I wouldn't buy a light just based on that feature.

do you have fav for the rear light with brake sensor? I'm just missing my Cateye tight kinetic

To be honest, I usually disable the brake sensor functions. Until the sensors are actually connected to your brake lever, they will always have false positives and reduce runtimes. That said, the Ravemen and Magicshine Seemee lights have decent calibrations.

@@TheSweetCyclists You gotta review the Overade TURN & OXIBRAKE as it has a slip cover brake that goes over your brake lever and you squeeze it to activate the brake lights. If someone combined that with the accelerometer method so the brake light would stay activated while stopped even when the lever wasnt pressed, itd be perfect. Well, and USB-c charging for the remote...

@@OptimusSatanas That's a pretty cool product. Many e-bikes have similar designs integrated into the bike so that the brake sensor is actually consistent. Hopefully more competitors to Overade come out with slimmer designs.

@@TheSweetCyclists It has great promise. I think the best will combine more than one tech TBH.

One huge PRO is that the light doesn't use a Lithium Polymer battery which are prone to well, exploding. That's why it's a 'bulkier' design, it used a much better battery. My biggest gripe was the old USB 2.0 charging so upgrading to USB-C is great, I just wish you could angle the light, because most modern mountain bikes have a very slack seat tube so the light faces down rather than back. They could address this by adding an optional angled backing piece.

That's a good point regarding the mount. Most other lights have some sort of tilted rubber backing which help. As you said, you could DIY some sort of wedge to get a better angle on the light.
