    I do believe that Michael’s what he saw was the opening of the center and instead of throwing low kick he went right to the snap kick and golly!

    I dunno of you were intentionally trying to do the Micheal chandler style feints or head movement before the kick, or if that's just how you move. Regardless, it was spot on and made me laugh.

    Why is this snap kick ko so rare? Seems like a relatively easy kick to throw but yet so effective.

      Timed badly is guaranteed loss of balance, youre prone to takedown and sweep which in modern day era MMA means a lot of struggle on the ground once failed to land. Checkout high level Muay Thai fights to see how these guys utilize and neutralize the technique

    • @PjXu98
      @PjXu98 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@Manes999 but that's the thing with this snap kick. It doesn't require much power, just good accuracy to hit the chin. So even if you would miss the kick, it's unlikely you'll lose your balance.

      @@Manes999 if you do some combat sport, just practice this kick. Try to throw this kick in sparring (don't knock the guy out😂) and you'll see how fast the kick is. Your opponent will be too slow to react.

    Maybe it was poor form but it really wasn't a front snap kick if you really look at it you had elements of the inside Crescent kick with a rising front kick: look a few frames before contact you will see Chandlers arcing leg trajectory also you will see El kook's head swing to his right from the direction of the power which is more in line with a Crescent kick.

    In sparring i have knocked out my friend 2times with the same move just a jab to the body followed by a front kick to the face, but you gotta hit the guy with the jab first, if you just feint you not gonna have enough reach and your kick will miss, also after that we are not allowed to do this kick in sparring cause its like oblique kicks, there are not much things you can do to defend and the injury can be brutal

    Nice front snap kick Mate. However, Michael Chandler took Tony Ferguson out with an inside crescent kick. It rose from one side, crossed the face in a slight arc & whipped at the end. Think Pimp slap but with ya foot. You can do them with either the heel - or as Mike did to Tony - with the ball of the foot. I've been doing them since I was a kid. If you're quick enough & haven't dropped your opponent with the first one you can flick the same leg back & catch them with the blade of the foot - or if you're flexible - turn your knee outward & do an angled snap kick straight to the jaw. Both forms are sudden & catch your opponent by surprise - as Tony found out. Glad he's ok. It's a powerful kick when executed correctly.

    Your kick in the thumbnail is bad form. Never lift the heal if your base foot off the ground when you throw that kick. It destroys your base. The tiny amount of extra power you get is minimal if any. Must focus on balance Daniel-sahn.

    I did'nt see the ball of his foot hit the dummy 1 time🥴 the way shane shows it,is a recipe for some broken toes. Sorry bro,not good this one.

      Okay, but I've never stubbed my toes throwing this kick. Perhaps it's the camera angle or the device you're viewing it on.
