@@abelhiruy4893 i saw Rodtang winning, and without any shadow of a doubt actually. More shots landed, and more clean, more hard. Lots of hard punches. And advancing entire fight. Yeah it was a competitive fight, but I saw an easy and clear win for Rodtang. 4 rounds to 1. And the commentating did not seem objective to me.
@@thecontainerthecontents6889 This is stadium muay thai not MMA. In round 12 Kaonah scored a lot of kicks on Rodtang's open side. Plus many takedowns in the last two rounds.
I don't think it's an old version. Rodtang was called the ironman (in One) at this period of time already. This is what happens: none-thais 1. cannot take the damage he inflicts even if blocking 2. cannot damage him. He is just untouchable. But thais are trees. The only fight he did with a Thai in One (if I am not mistaken) was with Petchdam. That fight is very similar to this one. And it is the only one won by majority decision (so not unanimous like all or almost all the others). You can still see him doing his job (power punches etc.) but you won't see Petchdam running away while Rotang making fun. He does backup eventually but compared to the others who just cannot take it, bout is balanced.

Question: At the end of the fight, Rodtang goes off to pay his respects to Kaonahs corner, but then one of his cornermen puts a stack of money in rodtangs glove. Can someone please explain to me what kind of tradition this is?
Can't speak specifically on this situation, but in Thailand gambling at the stadiums is very common. Even the gyms bet big money on their fighters. Rodtang was already signed with ONE and was their champion. It could have just been a small thank you for taking the fight. It didn't seem like a lot of money. I have been at Rajadamnern stadium before and literally just walked to the back found a fighter and told him I will give you X amount of money to score a knockout and then you pay them out.

Boxing scores lower in Muay Thai. Elbow, knees and kicks are the preferred choice for winning fights. Hence why great strikers such as Ramon Dekkers had a hard time winning in the eyes of the judges.
Why are you talking about takedowns, they don’t count as points? Also, Kaonar was moving back most of the fight which is negative especially since he was not too active compared to Rodtang. If you’re listening to the announcers, you would think it was a 1 sided fight. I would have given a yellow card for the excessive stall tactic like takedowns and and holding by Kaonar. I am not sure what scoring system they were using to have Kaonar winning. If you see Rodtang’s last fight defending his belt, it was similar to the later rounds here, where his opponent was running around. The ref had to bring his opponent back to the center to actually fight. This seemed more like an exhibition fight.
@@thronegame2864 ...what? what on earth are u talking about? takedowns matter since they show that you are able to manipulate your opponent's balance, sure Kaonar was moving backward but he was hitting higher scoring shots, Rodtang couldn't wobble Kaonar, and also I rarely listen to non-Thai commentators since they always talk from a kickboxing scoring system point of view and not a Muay Thai scoring POV. Also observe that Rodtang's foreign opponents love to run away fast but Kaonar is literally just walking. If he was running like Lasiri or Haggerty he would've lost. Kaonar took more punches than he threw kicks, elbows, and knees but he still scored higher since his shot selection is inherently higher scoring than Rodtang's.
