    Great vid! One of the many reasons why i love this game. Spacing is such a powerful technique and keeps the game very fun. There are many options and techniques for the player, which gives the game a lot of depth and keeps the game play dynamic.

    Great Video K.L . Once I get my PVR I have alot of Tips and Tricks ideas I'm going to bring to TH-cam that I have not seen. A big one for me is scenario breakdowns, I find that the game has a pattern in how players combat one another. Learn those patterns (scenarios) and you will become much better ! Keep up the great videos!

    It's crazy how obvious some of this stuff is, but you never think it's obvious till stated. Example: straffing left right left. I typically always do this and the only thing I change is whether it's short or long strafe. It's always done and always expected so a left right - right wallbounce makes so much sense for a mix up. Good stuff. Really helps!

  • @Arcticvbi
    @Arcticvbi  12 ปีที่แล้ว

  • @skullsRS
    @skullsRS 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    One of the most important thing imo is knowing the situation and predict movement, atleast when it comes to highlevel players, when you kinda know the situation and can predict his movement it will be so much easier to win and you dont rly need to spam wallbounce etc. But this comes with experience. Good reflexes/strafing/wallbouncing/aiming only takes you so far.
    Good video.

  • @Arcticvbi

    positioning is probably the most important imo. Skyllus did a video on positioning and I did one on Right Hand advantage. A combination of very good positioning and good movement generally makes it easier to shotgun consistently.

    Excellent video again! I like your approach to the gameplay, I don't hear you bad mouthing the players you pwn. That's why I prefer you to likebutter! There's all abilities out there, don't gloat if you pwn and don't sweat it if you get pwnd. Enjoy the game and learn and improve. Subscribing, thanks for the time and effort you put in.

    Subbed.

    ah I see where I went wrong did not fully read. however thank you very much. I can stand on my own in some cases however an old dog can learn new tricks. and not to be a rider but the way you slow down and break down the vides are perfect to actually show examples and then do a break down in slow mo on how each movement helps you perform better. I hope to see more on different games as well

  • @Arcticvbi
    @Arcticvbi  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    The distances are the same, what throws people off is that default you would roll in the direction you were attempting to bounce. Alternate makes you sit still, so that lack of "motion" makes it seem like the distance is shorter. Angular bouncing is pretty good on Alt, I hadn't tried it too much when I was playing default.
    Welcome to the family :)

  • @Ridgebackbanjo
    @Ridgebackbanjo 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    No insult intended toward LB, he's a very talented player who puts a lot of time and effort into bringing tutorials ( I subscribe to his stuff too). It's nice to be nice to players of all abilities, is all I was getting at. There seems to be too much bad mouthing and poor sportsmanship going on in the Gears community and I believe guys like you and LB have a lot of influence on the way folks behave online. So, being a good example by not dis-respecting other players (as you do) is the way to go.

    Hey Arctic, will you be making a video about using smoke grenades effectively? I only ever use them to make a person drop a meatshield in which i use your quick nades technique to effectively get them thrown. But i want to learn how and when to use them to push people or to get a power weapon.

  • @XBUGMANX
    @XBUGMANX 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Alternate scheme may seem shorter when you wallbounce only because the run and the roll are different commands where as default your run and your roll is the same thing... when you are running there is a minor lag which DOES increase the range of wall contact only because you are canceling a run with a stick to the wall... you can achieve the same thing while using alternate it's just you have to use both run and bounce and get good with it.

  • @zEquilibrium
    @zEquilibrium 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey arCtiC, when you're in a long shotgun battle, are you mainly lining up your character to the enemy, or do you try to aim for him more? This relates to my main issue with my shotgun, I want to raise my look sensitivity to wall bounce and move better, but it back fires on me when I am trying to hip fire with my shotgun because the higher sensitivity makes my aim go all over the place; this prevents me from raising my sensitivity. What do you recommend? -Thanks!!

  • @TheBryanBTokin
    @TheBryanBTokin 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey arctic, what type of wallboucing do you think is most effective? (angular or classic) by classic i mean looking at a wall and bouncing off of it

  • @theSUICIDEfox
    @theSUICIDEfox 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great vid arctic, but IMO aiming > movement. If you never/rarely miss a center mass shot you will still do better than a player who is good at wallbouncing/strafing. Of course doing both well is always a plus, but I feel like a lot of the strafing/bouncing is unnecessary movement. Once you know how someone moves it is easy to just hardaim them down.
