This Gears of War Judgment gnasher shotgun tutorial episode will help teach you how to use the shotgun more effectively. I discuss some of the basic principles that have helped me excel with the gnasher including:
Sponging and "missed" shots.
Where to aim your gnasher.
Evasive Maneuvers including
Strafing
Roadie Strafing
Wall Bouncing
Optimal Grenade Loadouts
Basic Tactics
I highly recommend pausing at points to understand what the tooltips are getting at, as I couldn't fit everything in with voiceovers. I also highly recommend viewing my previous Gears of War Tips and Tactics episodes on Gears of War 3. That is such a huge concept to shotgunning and you need that to even be able to hang.

The video was one of the most informative I've seen on any of the Gears games thus far, and I've been playing since Gears 1 launch. Great video, keep it up. My sensitivity is currently at Look - 30, Target - 20 Zoom - 10. And I use the gnasher with a stim grenade when im being rushed by multiple players. To all the people that complain about the stim grenade, just throw a smoke or an ink grenade and you'll make them waist their stim grenades every time.

nice video. Many players think high sensitivities are a must but I'm with you, I've been playing 18,15,15 and its been working well, higher then that and I am all over the place.

This is a great video. I've been a huge gears MP fan since GoW2 and I'd like to think I'm an experienced player (but not to the level of competitive guys such as yourself) and this helped out a lot.

after reviewing some of my shots as well and the talk we had on twitter your totally right, Just makes sense how making sure you land the shot is crucial. I think this game requires a level of skill no one has seen from a gears title.

i know what you're saying. i actually went on after watching this and saw certain shots where pellets dont hit. the thing is sometimes pellets still go stray when you aim directly on them. probably because of what you explained with the frames.. good video. made me analyze my shots more when i was playing. sorry for the slight dispute :D

Good video. I think if people were to analyze more they could see mistakes that they make instead of blaming the game. I appreciate your in depth videos it helped me understand what I'm doing wrong when lining up a shot. Thanks for effort and time you guys put into making these videos.
Best GOWJ Gnasher Tutorial. Sometime in the future can you make a video sharing what you would like to see in future dlc or patches? I want the stim nades gone and the melee to be nerfed.

I have been using Ink Nades with Gnasher and it has helped me both on offense and defense. Yeah they don't have a big boom but they linger and can get you that necessary DOT for easier kills.

Lately, I've been playing with gore off to help adjust my shot. I'm definitely thrown by the bullets coming out of center screen, and playing with gore off lets me see exactly how many pellets are hitting the character with every shot. The blood, as shown in your full speed videos, can be very misleading.

When gears 3 was out I would usually always blame it on sponging when I saw the blood splatter and I was close and didn't kill them. Now in Judgement thanks to your videos I see how that I'm missing some of my shots and that the blood splatter can mean very little. I still play with people that still don't get it when I tell them,but hopefully I can direct them to this video

Great to see someone shed some light on the whole sponging ordeal. Turns out people, including me, are just missing their shots. Still feel like the gnasher should be a bit mo accurate though. The spread is a little wide IMO.

i am getting very good with the gnasher now, i am also taking more care in my "easy kills" because without active damage its not as forgiving. the new aiming still messes with me at time but i am hard aiming more to compensate

This game is ridiculously addicting...there's just too many modes to try and perfect. So far Free-for-all and OverRun are tops for me. I haven't played as much Execution, I need some good teammates, cause I suck. Haha, Thanks for these tips, man. Keep it Up!

I know you are who you are arctic you made a name for yourself with true ability and smarts, and put it together to basically make yourself a future career. But don't you ever forget what put you in the map. The least you can do is put a little devotion to saving it
Good video. Just a tip for future reference on gnasher stuff. If you turn gore off, you will see where all your pellets land more accurately than with gore on.
Great vid man! You covered this really well and I got good shotty game but I understand why I thought the GoWJ shotty was so damn broken, it's just different and takes some adaptation.
Great video.I always suspected something like FTR existed but never really had such confirmation on the mechanic itself. Does explain a ton. Just doesn't make it any less frustrating. LOL
On a related note. How are you finding alt controls? I'm finding myself going back to default more and more in games. Almost like changing a loadout when one isn't working. In relation to GOW3 it feels better in some ways and a bit off in others.
