Not sure about that. Factions might consider their weather forecast confidential since it isn't always guaranteed that both factions are aware of upcoming weather. That said, it would indeed be easier for the press to report on the weather near or on frontline hexes.
Dont know why i thought of this but seeing the weather station it kinda made me think of a radio station, i can kinda picture a collie and Warden radio stations having their own music blasting on portable radios in some places and maybe even in cars and maybe have Partasins take control of these stations if they ever get close to a station, it be interesting, a fun machinic and good for either side for moral
You need to enlarge the map and have more ocean and bring in Navel engagements and interdiction into the game and be able to bring Escort supply ships with resources so it brings in Subs Destroyers and Naval engagements from the home land to the the war which will add alot of interesting tactics to the game.
The bowhead would be useful to raid enemy esource fields haha. Or off-road fields by the shore. I was hoping for sailor and/or marine uniforms, maybe next update haha.
Quite a few tiny mistakes Bear, it seems like from one of your edits that you were rushed and I hate to say it shows a little :( I'll list the ones you don't have in your pinned comment. - Radio backpack won't match the watchtower, it's 60 < 80 meters. - You probably know this but we're a little unclear in your script, but while puddles do block construction, they can be removed to build where they exist. - In addition, not all trenches flood, only Tier 1 trenches do. So they CAN be prevented from flooding, just upgrade them. - During the course of Dev branch (even though it's what we expected from the weather station), at its max "network accuracy" it still doesn't give you any actionable information on when a storm is going to start. So while I wish your claim of "knowing when you can flank around to hit a town base from an unexpected angle" were true, from everything we could tell while testing, it isn't. - You mentioned the wind sock being more accurate than foxholes? Which must have been a slip up referencing the old foxholes which morphed into the pillboxes we have now. If it were off the cuff, I wouldn't point it out since it's an easy slip for a veteran player to make but it was a scripted informational video so I would hope that you would have caught it during revising. I love your content, your an awesome dude, but please take your time. The update isn't going live for at least a few days after this current war ends and I'd assume (but ofc I don't know what pressures you have) that it wouldn't be the end of the world if your video came out a few days after the update went live. So please, take your time when it comes to informational content ❤
Yeah so a big issue with producing these is i usually just have the Patch notes to go off of and whatever i can gleam from the devstream (which are not as detailed). I DONT have the time to spend hours testing in devbranch or asking our spreadsheet warriors for all of their data to go over. This is why i reserve a corrections section for the comments. but thank you for pointing these things out. That being said the windsock IS more detailed because its bigger so you can see the differences easier which is something the devs mentioned in the stream. That is what i was referencing.
@@ISawABear What I'm saying about the Windsock isn't that you got information about the Windsock wrong, it's that you said "compared to the Foxhole" which the Foxhole hasn't been an AI structure that has a flag on it for over 2 years now, it's just a hole in the dirt now. Again, it's not a big thing, I'm not trying to make a mountain out of a molehill, I'm just pointing out areas that I think the video shows it was rushed a bit to support my point that you should try and take a bit more time with the scripts. I wouldn't expect you to test everything meticulously in the devbranch or to pour over spreadsheets, that's too much to expect from someone who's also got a full time job and is doing this for fun. I do think that for being the #1 update content review guy that frequently gets put on the main menu of Foxhole and directly linked to in the official update posts on Steams news about the game, that there's a bit more importance to get things correct. If you don't have the time, myself or other community members would happily look over your script for you, just to get another set of eyes and see if there's any small mistakes. Because again, you still do make good entertaining and informative content with a charming voice and personality to match. And it's not like you were dropping mistakes left and right, they're just minor things.

Tbh the weather station seems nice in concept, but I really don't see how it can help either side win. So lets say my side knows in advance that a snow storm will happen maybe 3-6 hours before the enemy, that doesn't really affect any of my gameplay decisions in that region because most of my choices as either infantry/tanks are either just going to do what we normally do and just fight using our normal weapons, so me knowing in advance its going to rain or snow is just going to affect my choice of whether or not I want to even go to that region to begin with. If it was like an obs tower which is just a normal structure than can be captured by either side in game, that would be a nice thing to have but to have to build it ourselves instead of making a SC or Radio tower seems like a waste of resources and time.
Hi Bear. Why not make water pumps for bunkers and trenches? In WW1 they had pumps pumping out water out of the more important trench lines during and after rainstorms.
Dev's balance changes: collie: supertank buff, auto-rifle buff, sniper rifle minor buff, flamethrower minor buff wardens: sniper buff, flamethrower buff sooooooooooooooooooooooo...... will they do anything with balance or continue buffing collies? im tired that devs just ignores the fact that collies overpowered. Bomastone, grenade laucnher, ISG, siege tank, Volta (collies long rifle), landing APC and motorcycle WITH MG!!! While wardens have... fiddler and sniper rifle...

Good video, but pointless mechanic added to a devastatingly one sided penalty imposed on only one side in most matches. The snowstorm graphics are also choppy leading to flickering, even on a high end system, so overall I hate to say it, update 57 adds nothing much to the experience. While the naval warfare game is a fun novelty, honestly the overall game feels far more tedious and unbalanced that it was two or three years ago, particularly as you can manipulate hex numbers in such a way that you can get a destroyer into a hex, but the other side cannot get a frigate or submarine in to counter it. Whether the ice freezes or not is cute, but does not address the fundamental flaws in this game, such as persistent inability to counter blatant cheating, or that one side has simply better weapons than the other - such as the colonial machine gun, which firing the same rounds does 50% more damage on a hit. Maybe rather than fussing around the edges, the devs should focus on why a collie DD can shell a warden 150mm battery, but the warden artillery cannot fire back "because the target is too close". Fair, fun and balanced? No, the wardens never stood a chance. And the frigate could not get in to fight the DD. Peak Foxhole, all this time later, the fundamentals are still broken: one side has cooler better gear so the veterans go Colonial, and the new players go Warden, don't enjoy it, and quit the game because they just get butchered. And slowly, the game ebbs ever lower in player enthusiasm.

They added facilitys to nerf logi now they non stop nerfing facilitys added ships what barely anyone care so they pushing it last updates now they nerfing ships too like wtf feels like they literally no idea what to do so they just do some things randomly without adressing anything important ..lol

I like to criticize the devs a bit about the logi stuff but I gotta admit that they come with original and fun ideas to keep the game fresh.

I think watchtowers are 80m radius. The jeep is a 60m radius, so that means the radio backpack is the same recon range of an LUV.

@@ISawABear practically murdering all harvesters for example also im pretty sure barely anyone figured out yet but making 120 shells the most accessible item to a luxury item hurt the war badly....
@@ISawABearmain complaint I’ve heard is demolition. It’s a pain in the ass when you need to remove stuff after the demolition timer’s expired. And now you need to dehusk it after you destroy the facility
