They are fun, and in some ways can be a more useful tool than a side opener when holding stuff and needing to cut and put the knife back away efficiently. No wrist action needed, just click in and out. I've had up to 6 or so of those over the years but slowly sold them off to fund other purchases. The only one I kept is a full blackout UTX-70 for when I want to be a tactical gentleman and can only take a tiny knife with me but need to feel aggressive as well 🤣
cool i would like to buy one of these type of knives one day ive never even used or seen one of these type of knives in person so it would be cool to own one so will see maybe one day
wow I didnt know it was that otc had such safety features. An otc is a perfect holy shit knife, for instance, while riding a horse . You need to act quick and sometimes only have 1 hand advailable. The lies in governments need to stop
That’s up to you but clones suck and I’m sure you can’t send it back to them to sharpen it either … microtech stands alone and worth the money if you got it
@@jkbear29 I've had zero problems, and use it almost on a daily basis (box tape and polymer straps mostly). Not sure on the sharpening, I wouldn't own a knife I didn't sharpen myself.
@Pale_Folklore Still going strong, no bends, misfires, even the pocket clip hasn't gotten wobbly yet. So while I can't speak for quality in a year from now, I've definitely gotten my money's worth over paying Microtech prices for a knife that would be doing the same job, with the same reliability today.
The utx-85 is Not 85% smaller, it’s 85% the size of the ultra tech. And the other is called a utx-70, not a utx-75. Not trolling, just informing.
You’re right I mean 85% the size. And thanks I couldn’t remember if it was -70 or -75.
Because I'm a collector I own maybe a half a dozen I think they're really cool and they come in really handy when working up on a ladder
That’s cool. Yep we are crazy collectors

Haha good point.
I also own an 85. It’s about as small as I would go. They’re a nice compact piece to have in the collection.
Agreed
Thinking about this one for me, I’ve looked around and microtech seems to be the best
Can’t go wrong.
I like the way it looks, and the color isn't bad either
elegant simple design and seems easy to clean
Good looking knife. As a star wars fan the bounty hunter would be more my speed. Great video 👍
no hera? :( to compare
I’m a MT fanboy. The blade billboarding never bothered me. I have some models with it and some without.
I get it.

i like the bigger one thanks for sharing brother
My pleasure.
I bought an ultratech and it broke within 1 hr of owning it. Knife fell off the track
@@Jmitch767 well DAMN.

No, 70
OTF, the only way to go!
Rath Tunnel
Lesch Estates
Seems like a baby knife to me. Ultratech is a better size and I like the CT's too, bigger is better.
Right.
Goyette Summit
Get the Chinese knockoff for literally less than 1/10 of the cost!
Sorry I do not condone clones

@@jkbear29 microtech is overpriced lol
