That thing sold out quicker than a jackrabbit running!!
Great review. 👍
I also like that long sleeve shirt you are wearing in this video. What make is that please, and can I get one online?
I am now subscribed but need to know what was the worst injury you received with a knife.
So awesome ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ your so gorgeous
Your awesome 🤩 ❤
You have the best fan base, Very respectful which is sadly missed in this day and age.... Keep em coming.
I can’t agree more with you. I am extremely grateful every day for them! Would not be able to do what I do and the amount of kindness and respect especially as a woman in this industry has been overwhelming
Lower price by $100 to $199, and you got me.
$299.00 plus tax is ridiculous.
My Bull Armory 9mm was 279 on sale....foolish coolish knife tho 😂
AGREED 😂
30 баксов..
Rocks are free! And fields are full of them!
Absolutely!
Such professionalism, know how and thought delivered with confidence! Fun and educational to watch!
I like that the long form video/review affords the opportunity to delve deeper into the features and different uses of the knife. I'm new to EDC and self defense carry so I appreciate your experience and point of view. I'm learning!
I love that it has a 3inch blade. Makes it legal in tons of places.
Lol!!
I've Never Cared About "Legal"!
Our lawmakers Don't obey the law themselves.
So...😊😊
@@davidcarothers3311 you will if you actually had to use it.
lol. 4 to 6 inches would be best imo. When laws are made by heathens, are they really laws?
Just not the USA...
I really like your longer videos Melissa, have a nice day.
Thank you! This was a new format I was experiencing with, they take a lot longer to do but really trying to get to a place where I can do more more often
@@MelissaBackwoods hope more is to come
@MelissaBackwoods, stick with this format! I know it takes you more time, but this actually comes out as a higher quality of information that we potential buyers will investigate!
Love your enthusiasm and knowledge on the fine art of slicing. Kudos from India !
Well thought out blade, well explained. I'm also impressed that it's AEB-L.
It is so refreshing to see a beautiful woman dressed in a conservative manner and posting interesting videos.
Indeed!
Your life would probably be worth something if you focused on yourself instead of focusing on how others live their lives.
@@TKTK-sw3tq ??????? You sound like an angry person. Are you upset she's not dressed in a bikini?
Thank you for getting so many facts together. This helps to understand other fixies as well. Especially because a handmade custom knife is not in everyone’s budget.
That was a really really impressive review and in-depth discussion. I am really impressed with how this was handled and got so much invaluable information from it.
Wow, thank you very much for the kind words and I appreciate that very much. It makes me happy when people are learning things from my videos.
Melissa, I absolutely love your honest reviews! That blade might be a little pricey, but when it comes to your life, it’s worth it!
Good fisher blade vlog I love the view of this beautiful lake amazing nature i love your video keep up the work and thanks for sharing this wonderful experience and god bless you 🙏
Hi I'm a retired u.s. army mp your videos are great. And it makes me happy to watch your vids thank yyou😊
What's the hardness of it Melissa ?
Very informative and well thought out presentation. Thank you Melissa for your time.😊
I would be worry about sticking myself when putting it away in the pocket..... looks like a great knife. Thanks for sharing Melissa!
Practice makes perfect 😊
Remove the sheath from the pocket first, until you get used to the combination.
It's not for sticking into people.
@MelissaBackwoods - Can the sheath be changed for a pocket on the right side? I am right handed.
Never put it away fast
Having companies send you stuff and you actually enjoying the product really is amazing. I’ve had the same experience with Wingard Wearables and Toor Knives
It is fun getting a new knife for testing. I actually met, Al Mar, who gave me his Pre Production knives to test. Several I still own. But the Water melon test, takes me back to my youth! Keep up the reviews!
300. Dollars. Nah. Believe I will pass.
thats almost a gun
Sucks your poor.
@bradfordrobertw only a felon who cant own a gun would spend that much on a knife..
@@Tom-cp6yj They'll just steal it lol
@@Tom-cp6yj Yes Sir. I will agree with you on that. I carry a knife. But 300.bucks. not me. Thank you. Have a great memorial day.
All components are sourced from the US, except for some steel from Germany. Given that it involves 100% US labor, research and development, along with meticulously planned details and real-world testing, $300 is a reasonable price for a reliable self-defense tool. I personally appreciate and support this approach and will be purchasing one.
Thanks for your comment!
That's a well thought out design. I'm tempted to try making one in O1 for fun. Thanks Melissa.
Great review!
Talked about all those details that I never knew about knifes
There were two things I really liked about this video.
Extremely well-designed SD fixie--down to the last detail. My kind of water melon stabber. Nothing I would change about it (except the price, but this one looks like it's worth saving up for).
Definitely worth looking into. Thanks Melissa.
Always crushing it. Hopefully the knives keep coming in
Great review packed with facts, examples and personal experience. Cannot ask for more from a buyers point of view.
Love that it comes with a band-aid 😂
Got mine a few weeks ago. I absolutely love it. The price didn't really put me off since I've paid similar amounts for TKell knives (I LOVE my Nighthawk!). The only small change I would've made would be to make the pocket clip reversible. Other than that, no complaints.
Awesome video MB!! I actually ordered this knife last night and can’t wait to get it and start training! I just ran across your video today and makes me even more happy about my purchase! You just gained a new subscriber!
I received mine today and as expected……. Awesome quality and even a bonus meat stick included!! Awesome purchase and I highly recommend!!
I hope you’re getting a REALLY nice endorsement check for this video. At that price, I can see how they can definitely afford an attractive spokesperson. Of course there are literally HUNDREDS of cheaper alternatives.
You really feed my knife-a-holic addiction! Thank you for another great video review!
Shout out to the LegalBlade app for information about laws and infringements in your State!
Hi Melissa. Love your videos! This knife is a nice combination of an strong one and EDC one. And the test of killing the fruit showed us how secure it is
Thanks for making this video! I like how the knife was make and it’s effectiveness!!!
Thank you so much for all your awesome videos. You make me very happy😀👍
You do such a great job Milissa !
Thank you so much!
Very thoughtful of the manufacturer to include an infographic of the major arteries so the buyer knows where to slice and dice 😅.
@AereForst: I thought you were kidding, but it is indeed an interesting fact at roughly 3:22.
Good review. Currently carry a folding knife with an assist. Now I'm reconsidering.
I like your content. I'm a *HUGE* blade addict and your channel is one of the few blade oriented ones that I actually like. Keep up the good work!!
Have you talked to the women at Brighten Blades? They new wave opening karambits they have for sale are really awesome versions of the Fox 599. Same titanium, carbon fiber, and Elmax, but in a wider color scheme. They also seem to sell for $50 less than the ones from Fox. I really like mine!!
My reverse grip edge in comes so naturally for some reason!😄
That was some great testing you did with that new knife !
Great features and I can understand why the design is that way ! Very well presented!
I have a flipper that has that classic Tanto design blade and it’s blade length is 3”1/4” ! I really like it !
I’m a buyer at $125 but $299 not so much:/
Solid review!!!
Between Daniel at 411's review and yours, I will be breaking down and getting one. You two have such enthusiasm about this blade I have no choice. Thank you for a great review.
Thanks for a long video Melissa. Please make it more🙏🏻
You gotta check out "Off Grid" knives...specifically the "Scorpion".
I like this handle... I'll try it in one of my blades that I'm working on... and girl!... you really enjoy handling blades... I subbed..!
My wife doesn’t want me watching this video for the third time.
Especially where she is getting most views.
I can definitely see how many women would be intimidated by her beauty.
Well explained and masterly presented! Love this video and you’re so beautiful!
Absolutely cool!
I think it would be incredibly inspiring to see a video series showcasing your workout routines, diet, and lifestyle behind the scenes. It's fascinating to see the dedication and effort you put into maintaining your health and fitness, especially considering the demanding nature of your profession. Additionally, I'm sure many viewers would love to learn more about your self-defense skills and how you incorporate them into your daily routine. Thanks for providing such valuable content on your channel!
Thank you, health and fitness have always been an important part of my life. It’s kind of always been my “me time” so I never have really thought about filming it because then it becomes like a job but definitely would be fun to maybe share some things in the future about it
@@MelissaBackwoods ah, wow, you actually replied me...
WOW.. hello to you then!
I am in Sweden,
I am so impressed by your knowledge!
Yes, I think a lot of people love to see more of how you learn about things, how you handle the wildlife when is not always planned and sorted out ahead of filming, but more in the doing of things ...
I also do think seeing more of you following your everyday fitness plans and why you choose perhaps to workout the way you do to be as prepared as possible for the elements of nature?! .. maybe I am totally wrong and you do not do that at all.. but if you do workout with goals for survival I think it would be very cool to follow along to such workouts, especially if they are out in nature..
Do you also guide people out in nature today?
are you still there in the nature preservation in Michigan?
to me, it woudl be really interesting to see more of that side of your life and more of your personal adventures ...
well, not gonna bother you with my ideas.. wish yo a great day from a snowy Sweden in May, an odd wheater today here where you just wanna stay at home and follow some interesting nature tv series online, love if you were the host of it, like what Marty Stouffer did in the 80s.... I beleive in you Melissa! you got some inque way to see things others don't please make your show Big and in the Long format! 😍💟cheer,s Christoffer
Thanks!
Doublestar knives are pretty cool, I got the Ahab for my plate carrier
Your passion for knives comes through in your face, body language and voice, I love that and share that same love of knives. Unfortunately if that's the cost in the States here in Canada it would cost at least a hundred more. Great video, great genuine energy, very informative and if I can find it in Canada for a good price I would probably buy it
Kinda short for a fixed blade but it is sweet. It's about the same size as my edc which is a little Kershaw flipper (can't remember the model). I keep it sharp as a razor. 👍
I Love the Handle……$299 is ridiculously EXPENSIVE
Thanks for the review. I'll wait for the package that includes the trainer.
Good choice!
Another sweet video. Bravo!
I would buy one right now online for $100. No I lied, I would buy two or three. Awesome review!
Great stuff........looks like a solid self defense tool.
Great video. I will add it to my collection
Great PR very cool knife , Thank you Very Cool!!!
Tanto is awesome 😎
Thanks Melissa
Now I can’t stop buying knives 😂 thanks Melissa you are the GOAT ❤
Melissa is such a class act and we can always count on her to keep us abreast of the latest innovations and developments in cutlery. Much respect.. 🦋
There is so much to recommend this knife. I am hoping they go to a 4" blade though.
I been watching knife reviews since TH-cam started. It's a bonus to see an attractive woman doing it and is as therough as you can get. Thank you
Hi Melissa. Talking to you from South-Africa. Have seen a few of your videos.
I am in Law Enforcement and VIP Protection , since 1980 till current.
Done numerous martial arts and bladework and still involved in training/ teaching.
If you don’t mind, I would like to comment on above review.
I notice you not mentioning the actual secondary point on the blade and you also don’t test it’s slashing capabilities.
I am sure you are familiar with Cold Steel owner, Lynn Thomson. HE was actually the one that was instrumental in some of earliest “Tanto” style blades, since the 80s.
The original Tanto angle was at 45 degrees. It was done because the average person will naturally hold the knife, front grip, blade forward, at this 45 degree angle, if asked to do a horizontal slash at a target. The SECONDARY point at bottom of these blades thus pierces the target, while the rest of this front part of blade is pulled through the target. If there was no secondary point, but instead just a continous rounded belly, it will NOT dig into target as easily. Try it, you will see.
The next reason is that the secondary point is hsed for “ snap” cuts. Check Cold Steel’s videos, you will see.
Well, hope this helps. Good luck with your testing .
Hannes
Nice presentation young lady. You sold me on comfort in pocket and ease of access.
nice to see your able to defend yourself still in the UK were not allowed to carry anything that can be used for self defence even a walking stick or an umbrella
I'd like to see this in a reverse tanto with a swedge
Beautiful eye color
Good stuff! Looking at one right now.
Dam! That’s a well thought out knife.
Beautiful knife love it.
thats a very interessting knife Melissa...take care
Nicely done
omg new full video hype!! 🎉
you're very pretty I hope you have the best day ever
Rocking those braids😊 and beautiful blue eyes 🫶🔪
Wow. Even at $300, this is sold out already. This is something I've been looking for for some time now. Guess I'll have to check back again. Great video.
I love how they included the bandaid, they know you well! 😂😂 And the whole watermelon stabbing adventure in the park lol. I like the whole package though including the knife, it looks like an ergonomic masterpiece aswell.
Cool knife. Thanks!
Comes, with Band-Aid! ❤ 🤣 f around and band-aid! 😂
good looking blade , great review. the tool you never need to reload
I think you're the best looking human I've ever seen in my life
sooner have her than the knife, very nice
Great review mate. Cheers from Australia.
I love you, Mel! ❤
🔥🔥🔥 need this knife thanks for your amazing content!
Loved your video.
Very cool presentation.
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Great review
Looks like a great self defense knife
I like your videos Melissa, I learn a lot from you here, I don't comment much because I'm too lazy to write!!!! This video was really cool, there are so many good things that I can't talk about everything. I like the idea of a product being tested by a person who has no direct connection to the company. The size is perfect, the design is pleasant and smart, black is tactical, the thickness of the blade is ideal, it does what it promises, the manual is super complete, I would definitely buy one but I live in Brazil so it's a little more difficult ...!!!! And when talking about the price of something, it is important to recognize the process that led to the existence of that product, the studies, the tests, the expenses, the investments, the failures, the time it took, all of this must be taken into consideration and said So, the price is very fair! And you are always very honest and that is very valuable! Kisses and good night!
I've never taken an English course, so if there's something written wrong, I'm sorry!

@@fisherblades Thanks, that's good news!
DeWalt has a similar one at HD for about $15...very sharp!
No way I'm paying $300 for a knife!
😂😂😂
I don’t know if you have already done so but you should check out the barrel knife and jambiya knife
