The recommended oil is 200 ml of 10W30 motor oil.
I used specific gear oil but either is fine.
I recommend pouring 230 ml in the measuring cup because some oil will stick to the cup itself and funnel and won't go in.

No video usei oleo especifico para transmissão mas qualquer um dos dois é adequado.
Recomendo medirem 230 ml de oleo no copo medidor porque algum oleo sempre fica agarrado ao copo e funil.

I'll do it in a near future on a friends xmax.
On mine I got EBC HH Scooter pads, made a HUGE difference.
Order them now and relax.

Esse funil é muito bom tem o angulo perfeito e encaixa mesmo bem. E esses DRL tem uma boa iluminação pelo que se percebe no vídeo ao vivo deve ser ainda melhor.
O funil foi um presente de um amigo, é um espectáculo!!!
The video of re-installing that drain bolt looked a lot higher than 20Nm. Copper washers can be re-used by heating them up and letting them cool.

Thanks for the video. Good advice about putting extra oil in the jug, I measured 220 mil in mine. I used 10w/40 engine oil it's what my supplying dealer uses. Just anealed the washer and used it again. I know 20nm is the torque setting for the drain plug, it feels when torqueing up that you could strip the threads.
No worries on the bolt, it has a very long thread.
The new / anealed washer also crushes a bit.
You can also use 75W80 gear oil.
The viscosity rating is different in gear oils.

Just search for "white grease"
Any grease will do, actually.
I use it to make sure water doesn't get in the final drive even on the wettest of days.

I can't understand why Yamaha uses engine oil in the Xmax final gears. The right thing would be to use proper oil for the final gears. Am I right or not?
Well, it has to do with the gear type.
Remember, in motorcycles with gearbox, the engine oil lubricates both the engine and the gearbox.
You can use gear oil if you like, stick with the recommended 10W30

Just some general house cleaning product, like the ones used on kitchen countertop cleaner.
Do not spray any oil, like WD40, the brake disc is right there!

The final hear does not have an oil filter.
