Thanks for this video you gave me the thr confidence to do it myself. I have one question why is that number blurred out im just curious?? Also do you have to change the O ring when changing the filter?
Do you know how often do we have to change filters? This will be the 10.000kms oil change, they want to charge me 200€! Great video, it is what I was looking for!
You're using 5100? I've talked to Yamaha support and they said that i should use 5000 oil and not 5100 because it mostly goes for motorcycles with clutch. btw is it Semi synthetic ?
Can I ask a possibly dumb question as I'm pretty much a noob doing this sort of thing? Would the oil filter you use here also fit in the xmax 400 2019 version? Thanks for the how to video I feel a lot more comfortable doing this for myself now.
hello, have you noticed any oil consumption on your xmax 300??? mine looks like it's burning some, i did 1600km since last oil change and it's almost at 3/4 level... (my scooter has total of 3000km, bought 2nd hand, but still in warranty and i changed oil myself when i got it just for safety...)
hello, i have an x-max 300 model 2020.i changed the oil after 5000 kilometers.and ionly 1.0 litre was inside.. is that normal? do my engine burns oil ??
Since you haven't changed the gasket on oil drain bolt and o-ring on the oil filter cover, have you had a leaking problem? Mine is leaking on drain bolt, I will have to change the gasket.
@@chrisw4215 Yamalube has no advanced oils. see the table regarding API standards and see yamalube API standard flag. Yamaha knows that the oil they have will not damage the engine and that the engine will work very nicely and that is why they recommend it, they want to make money and that is it. Of course, all this does not mean that we have to pour such outdated oils, especially since we are talking about Euro 4 and euro 5 generators. API: SN is the right option. On top of that, the Motul 7100 has ESTER additives that reduce friction inside the cylinder.
@@mariorokavec1511 thank you for explaining, I appreciate that. if only I manage to do something with those horrible rear shocks I will keep the xmax and change the oil to the one you recommend

A suggestion, undue cap before unscrewing the drain bolt that way oil will flow out better. Great vid!
Simple video with all we need in 5 minuts, very well done. Thank you
Glad you liked it!
Simple straight to the point video.
Thank you!😉
thanks man, I literally just saw the oil service on the osd. this video was perfect!
Glad you liked it!
Thanks a lot for this, it really gives guidance for people wanting just to change the oil.
Glad it helped
Great video tutorial! Thank you fellow Xmax owner!!
You are welcome! Glad that you like it. Wish you a safe riding! 😉

Glad I could help.
Number was blurred to keep private owner serial motor number, just for that. Not changed O ring, no need to
Bardzo dobry filmik. Następnym razem olej wymieniam już sam.
👍🏻😉
Can you use the old oil to deep fry chicken or fries?
Sold mine to mcdonalds
why you don't use motul scooter expert 10/40 mb ?
U should get the hiflo hf140. Better flow rate

Every second service in arow it is recommended, but filter is really cheap and you can do it often.
Great. I have a nmax 125. How are you enjoying the xmax 300? Any problems? Thanks.
hi xmax 300 user here. do you have a tutorial video on how to change or replace coolant?
nnext video please upload how too clean the cahange the V-belt and how to clean all of the drivetrain system please.
This is so helpful. Thank you so much. Update I did it. Thank you!
Glad that help you, thanks!😉
for filter oil you can use yamaha scorpio oil filter for long term use (metal material)
Thanks for the info
Would be good to mention the use of a torque wrench and the tightening torque:
Oil filter cover: 10 N-m, (7.2 lb-ft)
Drain bolt: 20 N-m (14 lb-ft)
Thanks for the info!

@@KrunoEti Thanks for the reply, that is the one I ended up getting :)
do you have oil consumption???and how often do you change oil?
Factory declared is on 5500 kilometers or 3500miles. I will change on every 5k intervals

Little burned oil it is ok and normal, but if you lose so much, thats not. If you have warranty, go and check with your dealer, thats best way
Thank you for great video, just what I need 👍👌
Thank you, glad you like it 😉
I want to buy that tool your using at 0:14 can you please tell me what it is called and what measurements i need?
Ebay
hii bos..thanks for da video..
can u made video - how to change gear oil for Xmax..TQ..
the very first step for me is to remove or loosen the oil fill cap
Nicely done, thank you.
Do you have to change the oil filter seal and the sump plug crush washer?
I only replace if they look dry or damaged in some way. Otherwise I leave them alone.
Excellent video thank you
Thank you!
hello, i have an x-max 300 model 2020.i changed the oil after 5000 kilometers.and ionly 1.0 litre was inside.. is that normal? do my engine burns oil ??
Yes, thats normal, some percentage is burned
sir can u please tell me the name of the things you used
what motor oil
what transmission oil
en what filter
You have all in video and in description ;)
@@KrunoEti i see the only thing missing is the transmission oil
does it use a 14mm crush washer on the oil drain plug?
Since you haven't changed the gasket on oil drain bolt and o-ring on the oil filter cover, have you had a leaking problem? Mine is leaking on drain bolt, I will have to change the gasket.
Never changed and never leaking, if you have that problem, than you need to change it for sure
Good Job ! Thanks
Thanks!😉
Excellent tutorial video!!
Thank You!😉
I think you should use mb engine oil for scotter
How many kilometers is the oil filter changed? Thanks for the video
Every second oil change to change the filter
@@KrunoEti it means 2 oil change = 1 oil filter?
Yes, thats what factory instructions says, if you want you can change it every time, it is not expensive.
@@KrunoEti ok thank you a lot
No problem, you are welcome!😉
Hello what is the name of the long tool you used to open the oil filter cover?
It is just wrench extension, you can use different, no need to be the same, its little space there and you use tool what will be easier to do job
How many kilometers is the oil changed?
Every 5-6 tkm
@@KrunoEti Thank you! And it really consumes 3.2 liters per 100 kilometers
Yes, if you drive slower and not so passion on gas, even lower than that
What is the diameter of the crush washer for oil drain plug?
Think that is 12mm
And 8mm for filter
I advise you to use the 7100 series.
Motul 7100 10w40 ESTER.
The oil for your motorcycle requires 100% synthetics.
This is Euro 4 and not Euro 3
yamaha says in the manual to use yamalube which is semi synthetic. why synthetic is better?

One season or 5000km

goodluck burning your engine at 5000km keep your engine oil change at early run so your engine dont build burn oil it will last long
How many miles should i run on Motul compared to oem oil?
I change every 5000km, in user instructions they says 5500km, so if you change earlier better for you, no matter what oil

No, why?

How about Gearl Oil?
I thin every 30k that yamaha user manual says
Very good 👍👍

İ suggest not use fully syntetic oils for scooters. Semi syntetic oils are better for scooters. Also yamaha original engine oil is semi syntetic.
Use what my manual says, and always same, without changing
