Xmax Rear Brake pads replacement
Here's a video of how I changed my rear brake pads.
PLEASE NOTICE: brakes are the single most important part of your motorcycle. Brake jobs poorly made can be dangerous, so do so at your own risk.
The copaslip paste I used is just to avoid brake noise in the future, it is not necessary for a brake change.

Thime for a new battery. The OEM was still working but it was showing signs of weakness. The Xmax's charging system was fine so... new battery it is. The tester came from Bay. (where else?) Search for 12v battery tester.
Rear Wheel Removal

Had a flat, so I had to remove the rear wheel. This is how I did it, it is quite easy. Didn't video changing the tire itself, plenty of great videos out there!
Xmax 125/300 Front Rotor Upgrade
Upgrading the front rotor to a better performing one is dead easy. I made the video to test my new video editing computer and because I got many questions about this new rotor. Enjoy, more to come. As for the removal of the front wheel, check out my fork oil change video.

XMAX 125/300/400 DRL Lights
DRL lights the easy way! Choose either taping in to the power wire or make your own OEM style connector. Please notice, for this to work properly you'll need a led turn signal relay (see my video th-cam.com/video/CnoMlMdE M/w-d-xo.html ) Also see my video on how to tap into wires th-cam.com/video/4Co9w6vS-mY/w-d-xo.html See my video on how to remove the side and top panels th-cam.com/video/-Aw-...
Xmax 125/300 Final Transmission Oil Change
Quick, easy to follow video! The recommended oil is 200 ml of 10W30 motor oil. I used specific gear oil but either is fine. I recommend pouring 230 ml in the measuring cup because some oil will stick to the cup itself and funnel and won't go in.
Xmax Reflector Stop Light w/strobe
Here's a quick, easy video for a cool DIY project. I lost some footage connecting the wire but I lost it, silly me! But it is easy, just tap into the yellow/green wire going into the stop light. The blue wire coming out of the reflector is a position light. I didn't use it because it sort of lessens the stop light effect. If you do want to use it as well, just tap the license plate positive wir...
Xmax Fork Oil Change
This is how I changed the fork oil on my Xmax 300. It is an easy job and makes for a far better, more comfortable, safer ride. It is a bit time consuming but can be easily done in an afternoon. I used 10W fork oil. Mudei o oleo da forquilha à Xmax 300. É fácil e transforma a condução. Fica mais macia, segura e confortável. Algo laborioso mas faz-se bem numa tarde. O óleo recomendado é 10W.

Another short video on basic maintenance. Take your time and save for a few beers by doing this at home!

Yamaha XMAX LED upgrade. Hyper flash solve - no resistors!
Im suprised that you havent installed ctek charging point / battery level in right compartment of xmax, fabulous DRL job, connectors and wires also, its rare to see these days a real quality job done. Keep em comeing
Thanks, best video so far, for this procedure
Is it better then city grip 2?
Much better!
It's way easier to use the rear brake to hold the wheel while removing & installing the axle nut. Just change up the order of operation a bit with the caliper.
I guess, but doing it alone I feel this this the best approach
thanks !
Brilliant video thanks 😃
Thanks!
Thank you so much, rly appreciate!
Ciao Is mandatory to change the washer ?
Well, you can anneal it and re use it and it works fine.
what kind of loctite is that?
It's an anti-seize paste.
Amazing you have to pull off the whole front end just to do that my 22 stock feels like it’s bottoming out already
What is that tool that holds everything from moving?
Thank you ,very professional video and work; well done !
Thanks for the class explanation of changing the rear wheel. I also need to change the rear wheel on my Piaggo x10 350, is this the same as your procedure?
Thank you once again Alex, another excellent video and love the fact there is no annoying and unnecessary commentary. Torque settings shows you are thinking about your viewers and what they need to know. Time for new tyres on my XMAX so this is perfect. Love yourr work Sir!!
Question for you please, How much distance is there between the gas tank and engine ? And is the gas tank bolted directly to the engine with brackets or bolted to the frame ? Does it get hot or warm under your seat compartment storage area ?
Very good camera work and maintenance. Thank you. Birds in the background sounds beautiful, like music. I love it.
nice
I noticed that you ommitted to remove the slider bracket and clean/relube the posts? Is that unusual?
No, not at all. As long as the rubber boot is in good condition and you feel the slide bracket smoothly returning to it's original place, there's nothing to be gained in doing it.
are these T10 LED bulbs front and back or T15 front and back?
What is the size of the nut of the pully and clutch bell?
I just couldn't understand how you made that pigtail, those connections with 4 wire legs. Can you show how to do that? I have this LED to install but so far I don't know how to do it. Your video is very good.
Thank you. When you change the coolant, please share it with us. Vladimir from Brazil.
Coming soon!!
Great video, I wonder if I need to pot grease in certain areas like in other videos?. I noticed you didn't use grease at all
Great Video. Shows everything you need to do it, without annoying music and crazy talking.
Respekt nearly perfect work!! Best wish Reiner from Germany
What size is the signal light? T10 or t15?
It's T10
So well done, thanks Alex.
Thank you. Your video is well done and helpful.
I use ıt for my xmax300. Its a very good choıce and thanks for your videos they are so useful.
Have been waiting for your next one for awhile now. Finally! Great video again. 👍
I know, I should make more videos. The thing is, my Xmax runs like a dream and doesn't need that much servicing. If this youtube channel made any income (it doesn't) or I had a sponsor (I don't ) I would make far more videos, like Changing the clutch Wheel bearings Steering head bearings Brake hoses Fuel lines Etc.... But all this costs a lot and I'm not spending money on stuff I don't need right now.
It depends, just top it up.
Perfect. Better than a Haynes manual.
Wow, that's quite a compliment, thank you!
@@bikesmith your welcome. Your videos are thorough and show every part of the job. Technique and best practice. We as viewers could want nothing more in a "how to" video on our scooters.👍
Since I found your channel I've been doing the maintenance myself 😅😅
Fantastic!! More videos coming!
A tutorial on changing the brake fluid as well as the coolant would also be great
Coming shortly!
Fantastic! As always your videos are the best for xmax! 😍
Fab video Alex, wonderful detail 🙂
Wow! Cheers! My idea is mainly helping young kids, they're a different generation with a different skils set. Scooters are very popular here, I guess the weather helps!
As always, the clearest and most detailed tutorial on TH-cam. Thanks
Great video! How many miles on the bike?
30k and not a single issue, it runs like a dream!
Thanks for this Excellent video! It's very useful for x max owner's. Do you also thinking of posting about valve adjustment? I can't find anything about it on TH-cam 😅. Thanks in advance 👍
Yes, it is coming!
@@bikesmith thanks you very much!!
Great, mais um vídeo magnifico.
Thank you sir! Good informative video.
Glad it was helpful!
❤
Well done, no bs.
Can I find my 6 digit pin using this?
Is this kmyco xciting s400? What socket size is the axle nut?
Can you do valve adjustment on xmax 300
Do you have video how to change fork oil seal
