that cart scene is probably the most successful implementation of sex in D&D I've ever seen. Everyone knows what happened but it didn't get awkward or really obscene, well done guys 👍

Run the audio Cable around the collar, tape it down with medical tape/mole tape/gaff tape, behind the head, over the clothes and behind the back. tape the cable to the shirt with enough slack so neck movements dont continue to kill your audio

spidermaster007 It sounded like a bad cable or transmitter. Complete loss of mid to high frequencies. Should probably invest in a dual system for redundancy. Despite the audio issues, I appreciate the spirit behind this and love the chemistry of the group.

Regarding the night in the cart, I can only imagine that Denaar was probably traumatized. "My god, is THAT how mammals do that?! Why are you putting that there?! Where are the eggs??!?"
You know that reptiles also have sex right? It's not like all those male lizards are jerking off onto a pile of eggs. Male reptiles have what is called a hemipenes which is basically two dicks which is kept inside their cloaca but they insert into the cloaca of the female to mate. So really, it's not much different from mammalian sex.
Kur Norock Although, dragons are not officially reptiles in the D&D universe, but Elemental Magical Creatures, so maybe not all of the reptillian rules may apply, I dunno.
Samuel Donovan the rule books classify dragons as warm blooded reptiles. They form mated pairs, the books specifically talk about the female laying eggs after mating has occurred. Also, dragon eggs are ridged and hard shelled, meaning they have to be fertilized before they are laid.
Not to mention that dragons are capable of mating with almost any species.
All of this points to dragons mating through regular old sexual intercourse.

I've been boning up on the rules for 5E hard in the last few months, and now I notice all the little things that they get wrong (their interpretations of Minor Illusion and Pass Without Trace are very liberal; warlocks always cast spells at the highest spell slot available to them, so K'Thriss' Dissonant Whispers should do 4d6 and not 3d6; and if you cast a spell as a bonus action, then the only other spell you can cast on that turn is a cantrip with a casting time of 1 action)...
But it isn't a problem. I bend and break rules all the time in my own games for the sake of the players' fun, and even Chris Perkins uses a lot of house rules. Rule 0 is that everyone has a good time!
Not every DM plays rules lawyer style. Some go for the rule of cool. The 2 schools of DMing get along as well as Left & Right in US politics.
But also, this is primarily made to be entertaining to watch, so keeping the game flowing is even more important than usual. Even if you ARE a rules-lawyery player it can be disappointing if someone suggests something cool they want to do and it turns out not to be possible -- such players will often enjoy looking for a way to *make* it legal, but that's not a lot of fun to an audience either. Better all round to go the "Yes, but..." route.
Personally I'd have ruled that Pass Without Trace on its own wouldn't work while the beast could see them... BUT, that clever little trick to distract it with an illusory cub would throw it off the scent long enough for them to potentially lose it. (Jerry seems to interpret the spell precisely backward, with the beast not being able to see the cart but being able to sense its presence with its "predatory instincts" or whatever -- it should be able to see them just fine, with its hunting (i.e. tracking) instincts being exactly the thing that the spell is designed to throw off.)
Warlocks always cast spell at the highest available level? Thats a dumb rule if I ever heard one. Hows that gonna work in an adventure? Blow up the goons with the force of ten thousand suns and have just enough magic left to tickle the boss once youve reached him?
@@CellieVG It's a good thing I haven't had a chance to play my Warlock character yet, then, because I would have totally not noticed that I had to cast at my highest available level...
@@2MeterLP But their highest level spell slot is 5th, after which they get arcanums only (Book of Ancient Secrets may copy 6th level rituals beginning at 11th level, increasing by one spell level for every 2 class levels -- not that it matters because no official rituals are 7th or higher). It balances out in the end. Regarding rules, they're playing a Theatre of the Mind session. So the rules are a bit more bendy than they would be in grid combat.

Could I suggest a segment akin to "Last time on the C Team..." or a published log of what happened in any given session? I, as well as I'm sure many others, listen to these while I work, etc. Sometimes, I lose track of exactly what's happening, and a typed log would be immensely helpful! :D

Pass without Trace prevents enemies from finding your tracks and helps characters use the Stealth skill but it doesn't make anyone invisible. You still need to go behind Total Cover or a Heavily Obscured area to hide, otherwise, you can't hide at all. KKDragonLord Yeah, I think Jerry played it correctly and everyone assumed the spell did more than it really does. It's not like the Displacer Beasts lost track of the shadowy cart they were following.
Yeah, it confuses people often because the description says "A veil of shadows and silence radiates from you", but the actual effect isn't very much like that
KKDragonLord also gives a +10 to stealth checks soooooooooo not invisible but it has to beat your stealth +10

enemy can see you, you cannot remain hidden. It is not a matter of
checks, you'll be moving very silently but people will automatically see
you walking around.
@John Creekpaum I think it might have confused them if they saw the AqInc game where Chris Perkins was rules lawyered by a new player and played along with it to rush the adventure along. On that game team A literally pass undetected right in front of 2 green dragons to steal their eggs (even though all dragons have blindsense too)

Maybe it's just me, but I'm having trouble following the organization schedule here. We have Season 1, Episode 5, right? But then there is Part 1 and Part 2 of Episode 5, I think? So I'm not sure why the Part would come before the Season and Episode? Maybe I'm over thinking it.

@1:00:00~~when I have a player make a check against something they may have heard about, I base the DC on the rarity of the critter/event/item and for each pip above success I let them have 1 paragraph of information from the description in the AD&D Monster Manual. With a critical success I just hand them the page with the stat's blocked out, and roll again for success against each line of the stat block.
