"Dont´t forget your d4!" The way Chris Perkins pronounces this, I think he´s reminded of the audience in Aquisitions Inc.s last great underdark adventure. Best part for me is 1:04:54, Van Richtens reaction. What a great episode!

With Van Richten back I was hoping Erika would have been back to play Dee again.
Was actually confused that non of them asked how Dee is doing or where she is
Evelyn actually did ask about Dee but Van Richten simply didn'T answer and no one brought it up again after that.

Pretty sure Darth Paultin's shadow killed her. She had low hp when it surprised her. Nobody knows for sure, but I've already mourned that character

I loved that first combat encounter. Stinking cloud, lady bends over retching, her friend gets disemboweled without her noticing, and then in the course of less than six seconds, she gets hammered by a crossbow bolt and a javelin and drops. Shitty way to go.

Shawn M Nah man, for one thing "better" does not apply here and for another Episode 52 is a much more entertaining episode.
I will admit he did fine in episode 52. However, one or two episodes out of 52 is pretty bad.
Shawn M I'd be the first one to admit he sucked until the Amber Temple, but he's been decent since then and has been holding his own with the others through SKT.
We each have our preference. I think that someone else would have made better use of the spot. It's purely my opinion. I think he has taken far too long to even learn basic parts of his class, and has soured me on him greatly.
Not used to Chris' HQ voice. I fell in love with how it sounds in the regular episodes.

I'm only about halfway through, but it strikes me as weird that Strix, paranoid as she is, never bothered with a Sense Motive or Insight roll on Van Richten.

might be because he brought her back from the dead. she can still not like him or trust him but might have some sort of respect towards him. but who knows only commander holly would know this.
Yeah, I'm a little surprised that they were willing to blow off the king and kill some people (that appear to be holymen btw) on Van Richten's say so, without any attempt to figure out if he was actually Van Richten, or lying or whatnot. Evelyn in particular should have taken major convincing to attack followers of Lathander. Plus wth happened to the guards that were with the group.

Holly has created one of those one in a hundred PC's that is a true joy to play and have around. Her cosplay also brings it to life.

Adam Neumeyer Yeah! Having all of your information, especially spells, in condensed and well organized forms of media is an extreme convenience. No one wants to rummage through the book every turn just to check a spell effect.
Yes very common. In 4th edition they had "power cards" and looks like the same in 5th edition. This is a list of your abilities/spells but in a card form so you can put them in a binder and have all the info for that action so you don't have to flip through a book or your character sheets every time you do something.
It helps you get organized. Some people prefer books, others the cards, whatever works for you and your player group.

I loved this episode but there is a part that I can't seem to understand like..maybe normally i could but perhapes my brain poop right now, so can someone help me make sense of the two sentences er what where they. the whole 1:01:24 to 1:01:38 ish sort of thing. with the irony of this and that I am confused about and it doesnt help that I cant tell if she is saying "his" or "this" but what does Evelin...evilyn...evelyn....... mean?
she was saying that her character evelyn found it ironic and disturbing that she, a paladin of the morning lord was fighting sibil an acolyte of the morning lord and thinking that sibil was misguided.
in the right circumstances evelyn could have easily been in sibil's position. they worshiped the same god [morning lord lathander], doing the same duty [purge darkness and evil from the land], and here they were, killing each other for those very reasons.
i'm no believer myself, but i actually almost teared up when sibil threw her holy symbol to the ground. i'd think character wise this had to be heartbreaking or at the very least internally confusing for evelyn as the wafflecrew slew the acolytes to the last....heavy stuff.
It still surprises me that Diath doesn't know how to play his char yet... BONUS ACTIONS DUDE! Disengage and stealth. Hit and run is the rogues way of attacking.
Most of the time he is playing to his character which is fairly clumsy

He killed Paultin's parents as well as suggesting Paultin should die for the curse that would trap Strahd, as well as generally being a dick to Vistani characters.
I love this show, but man I hate when players can play game after game, level after level and still not know or understand their character abilities. If you love the game so much is it so hard to look through the phb every once in a while? Every game Chris is explaining lay on hands and Hellish rebuke. Not just these guys here, its everywhere. Casters, know your saving throw DC, archers, know your long and short ranges. This is basic stuff. Its a little disrespectful to your DM who puts all this time into creating a fun engaging experience and you can't understand your attack bonus. Shave a couple minutes away from drawing your character in 7 different poses and getting your cosplay ready and read a little. Some people are trying to play a game here lol.

He said he was on tour. . . in the end of episode 50. Jared made the joke that Paultin was getting laid.
He never does live shows. Having an audience staring at him as he struggles to think of anything to do or say would be toe curling.

I'm a big fan of critical role and found the wafflecrew because of a recommendation from a fellow critter. They are amazing. Chris Perkins is such a great DM/storyteller. Love the humor in this show :)

jag519 She died from the ghostly green flaming skulls in the Ice Tower during the Curse of Strahd campaign. IRRC Diath flung himself on top of her trying to shield her from the blasts. That's where he got the rivivify ability also turning hin all ghastly looking.

wait i thought jared got the resurrection dark gift after strix got killed by the vampire spawns they fought AFTER that because she didn't get a death save for that fight do to the nature of necrotic damage. i mean, these comments are 5 months old so it hardly matters anyway, i guess.
