TheUnconventionalDeal it’d be okay if it was a subscription service (depending on the price) but having to buy games that you can’t even download? Fuck that.
@Jared Jones Sony? The guys who don't allow crossplay with other platforms and also rummaged through your stuff to look for things that might be illegal? Those guys are consumer-friendly? Well, I suppose considering everyone else is violating human rights and not delivering what was promised...
@David McConville I know it could technically work without being greedy, but even in the perfect scenario where super fast ultra stable internet is all over the world and it's a reasonable subscription cost, the "Netflix of games", I still don't want it to. Look how video streaming is going, more of them popping up and having their own exclusives, sometimes series getting cancelled on one so it can be on another, etc. And if the 1st party companies decide to make their own, then all gaming becomes cloud gaming and we now have to pay a subscription for life instead of just buying a device, and owning games stops being a thing. Live-service and unnecessary always online (like say GR Breakpoint) is already anti-consumer bullshit, cloud gaming is basically that but worse, and if it succeeds, might come to apply to all games. @@elitetripod4188 They deserve exactly what was promised to them as consumers, nothing more, nothing less. Google could have waited longer to have a proper launch since they clearly needed more time but now its a half ass'd mess right out the door. Sure, at BEST this was a new concept that allowed people to bypass hardware restrictions to play games on higher settings, but the *only* problem people should be running into right now is bandwidth issues given what was advertised, not ridiculous delays on digital access codes or 2-3 week delivery times on pre-orders.
@@MrBozuu yes in an ideal world people should've gotten exactly what they were promised and paid for. However in reality pre-orders are a gamble, especially in the gaming industry. Spending money on a product in advance with no guarantee that you're going to end up with what was promised. Also there were many warning signs all over techtubers, articles and social media etc that cast reasonable doubt that this product was going to deliver. Oh and don't forget that Google has a history of releasing unfinished products that don't live up to the marketing. Put all this together and pre-ordering stadia was a risky gamble and when you lose a gamble you've only got yourself to blame for taking that risk.
Everyone saying "oF CoUrSe it FaiLeD, YoU iDiotS" We didn't expect it to be awesome on arrival. We didn't think it would work super well or be the best way to play video games. We had low expectations and yet somehow it still wasn't met
On top of everything you’ve reported, here in Puerto Rico we’re having an additional region issue. After I got my stadia controller I didn’t get any codes. It took them about 48 hours to send me a code and after I register and claim the free games, I click to play them and I can’t because I’m met with an error saying “You can’t play in your current country” DESPITE Puerto Rico being one of the regions announced to be supported at launch. My account was created in the US and my payment method was set in US. But coming to PR blocks me from playing because “You might be in a country where the game publisher has restricted availability”. It’s entirely frustrating. I’ve been able to play on my laptop using a VPN. It runs almost smooth but it has occasional lag spikes that really interrupt the game. I wish I could use my actual high speed connection. I would also like to point out that in your screenshot it says you ordered yours on June 6 and had not received it by the time you recorded this vid. I ordered mine around June 10 and I got mine morning of November 19.
Google: ‘you won’t have latency issues! Because you won’t get what you paid for’ Edit: I don’t want to accuse Google for more wrong doing but I was trying to research on Google about Stadia failing and trying to find articles and it’s weird how seemingly empty it is. I mean you can look yourself, it seems like Google is trying to cover up bad press of Stadia on their search engines
Kevin Bacon I mean you could try, I personally havent but with all the negative press you would expect it to be more easily found. Just seems weird that for this there doesn’t seem to be much at least on Google’s search engine
I still find it amazing that people even think that these things will ever go correctly anylonger. No part of any major big company cares at all about their integrity and they know that moronic dolts will forgive and forget all too soon. Give me my locally installed games ANY day of the week.

"...those buyers would be the first to experience the future of gaming."
They didn't get what they paid for, the company that sold it to them botched the launch, and those who did get it are getting a sub par experience that won't be good for the foreseeable future and maybe never at all... It sounds like they're experiencing the future of gaming to me.

I just want stuff on a shelf under my tv and play offline by myself like I've been mostly doing for 20 odd years.
