man thank you so much for this video, literally spent all evening searching for this but couldnt find nobody explaining it. really cant thank u enough.
Interesting that a lot of people seem to can't get it working. I am running EqualizerAPO 1.3 and for me it worked first try by following your video. Thank you very much. Your video saved me a lot of time.
Good to hear that it works for at least some of the viewers. I'm still trying to find out why some people have issues, so if anyone who can't get it to work can chime in with the OS/Waves/EQ Apo versions they are using, I'll see what I can do. Thank you!
downloaded equalizerAPO and put the waves pitch shifter into it and pitched whole windows up by a few keys and now everything sounds like nightcore and chipmunks thank you
ok i have a question. will the eq APO work outside of the windows audio stack ? for instance i have a scarlet 8i6 usb into my laptop(windows 10) and run my keys into the 8i6 input then out to my monitors. but seems the eq APO wont see my keys at the input of my 8i6.. i would like to hear my keys inside the APO ...
From what I understand, you are currently monitoring your keyboard via the direct monitoring function of your interface. Let me know if this is the case. But Equalizer APO can only run on top of Windows, it can't process sounds that get routed only through your interface alone. To hear its effect on the inputs of your Focusrite, you would need to route them through the Windows audio drivers using some sort of DAW/host. Hope this helps!
Hey there! Judging by the other comments, EqualizerAPO seems to be crashing when loading the plugin. I just tried to reproduce this issue using the latest WaveShell build (14.7_x64) (and everything seems to be working fine on my machine running Windows 10 with EqualizerAPO 1.2.1 . I get no crashes and the setup is fully functional. Can you detail what version of WaveShell / OS / EqualizerAPO you are using when getting the crash?
@@odysseyofcuriosity Thanks for the answer! So, I'm using Windows 11, EqualizerAPO 1.3 and last version of WaveShell 14.7_x64, maybe the OS? or the Equalizer version..
@@BillChanel I have Windows 11 and this method worked for me. But I'm using EqualizerAPO 1.2.1 and WaveShell 14.0. UPD: I have checked on EqualizerAPO 1.3 and this method still works fine. So, maybe the problem with shell version or a plugin, that you trying to use.

Is this still working... because my apo EQ just crashes when I try this as of today 11-16-21?
Works for me with almost all my plugins. Make sure you're extracting the correct file. (the shell one)
downloaded equalizerAPO and put the waves pitch shifter into it and pitched whole windows up by a few keys and now everything sounds like nightcore and chipmunks
thank you
love you man!
This video may need an update. The download video doesn't work and it may be that the whole process isn't compatible with all waves plugins anyway.
For me the Shell2Vst is making 5kb files that fails to load anywhere. I am not sure what the problem is.
You are the goat, keep going! THX
where to download the plugin from?
How to do the same for my mic? I have Shure MV7

Mine crashes any other help? Thanks.
awesome
Is there anything like it for macOS?
It writes error, it is not shell or something.
When I am trying to extract the VST using shell2vst64, it says "0 VSTs extracted" and there are no files generated. Any ideas? Thanks
Nevermind, it looks like even though it was installed, I hadn't activated it using Waves Central. All good now! Works great, thanks!
thank u
You're welcome!
oh my god, thank you good sir!! STILL WORKING
man, no one is getting this to work, could you explain to us how did you make it works?
