  • I recently tested out the Spray N Bond Fabric Stiffener to help control a knit binding and I was shocked out how well it worked. It flattened out my band and stiffened it just enough so that I could sew it to the neckband without a single curse word!
So, today I want to answer some questions you might have about it and show you just how easy it is to use!
    Grab it here: shareasale.com...

Thank you for being so honest you so the good and bad thing. I have some fabric that I can’t sew because of rolling. You have given me the answer. Give the babies a hug and kisses from Florida

I'd love to have seen a comparison with regular starch using the same method. This is such a great solution!

Also, Palmer-Pletsch sells a stiffening solution that is patented: "Perfect Sew Liquid Fabric Stiffener' which is available on their website. They have been teaching sewing and fitting since the 70's and their many products are to be trusted. They have brought me along after a long hiatus from sewing with their books, videos and patterns. Classes during the pandemic have been difficult to find (and which I would have benefited from greatly), but all alone with their books and great instructions I have learned so much. Just for your info, I have no affiliation with the company.

Thanks for the demo - this is a new to me product. I may try the same process with some spray starch that I have to see how the results compare.

I use a similar fabric spray for the same thing. I bought it for use on Liberty of London Tana lawn to make the gossamer fabric more manageable when sewing. I also have that same beautiful Elvelyckan lotus print. I like what you did with it ❤️

Love this idea!! I've used spray starch-but not impressed, so I will definitely try this product!! I made some baby items from an extremely soft and "curly" fabric, and this would have helped a lot before cutting everything out, I am sure!
    Thank you! :+)

Great review! and Find! I wonder if this would be helpful with hems on knit fabrics instead of fiddling with that heat and bond tape? Did you use it on your hem?

I have heard to use hair spray for slippery fabric. Would this do the same thing? Also, what about spray starch?
