I think using a fortune cookie as a visual analogy to what a web cookie does is the best visual analogy ever. Not only is it delicious, it's got information inside.
I was doing research about browser cookies because I intended to make a video explaining what cookies do and how they are used. However, there is no way that I can possibly do a better job than what you have done here. Excellent job! Great presentation! I'm off to find another subject for my next video, haha, Mike ☺
Holy crap yesterday I was searching for a video from you about cookies for school because I really thought you already had one, but I couldn't find it! And this morning I was just going through my TH-cam subscriptions and I saw this!
vgamesx1 Common misconception about programming is that you can fully learn something. Each time developers start on new project they go to google and it doesnt matter that they worked 10 years in that field.
wwwelkam well I didn't say fully learn, I know the basics of how coding works, so I can somewhat read it but, I simply can't make out much of anything meaningful, so for example I it'll take a while for me to figure out, so I can make a few changes here or there however I find it very difficult to actually write code myself.
vgamesx1 it's true, even pros google all the code they make. So coding essentially is just googling, altho you might have some basic things always in your mind when making a script or just coding. Maths is another misconception, coders might never need any skill in mathmatics. However, it does provide some help in some cases where you might need to make some advanced calculationsi without the use of multiple steps.
thought you might find it funny that all that came up in the suggestion is videos on how to make cookies. Can't wait for it to happen the other way around when someone is baking and finds out about cookies
Oh my god I needed toilet paper after you mentioned the target market for burritos. And the ending... OH MY GOD. Fan for life! Thanks for the great information... yet once again!
+ali IIFive I feel like you can't say this. It's not IE and I don't use edge...I don't even use Windows(I'm on Linux...not a Mac) and I don't particularly like MS. Even still I don't think edge is all that bad. Especially when compared with IE.
+Daniel Dourado Browsers are designed to conform to a set of expectations by default. One of those expectations is that it accepts cookies as a general rule. Were a browser to attempt to block a certain fluid class of cookies, it would break functionality. By leaving disabling certain cookies to the user, it becomes the user's fault when something breaks, as opposed to the browser. This also helps prevent cookies from turning into an arms race of advertisers vs browsers
+wwwelkam Third party cookies are pretty well defined, essentially first party is the site you are visiting (see URL in address bar), whereas third party cookies come from embedded elements in that site. +Daniel Dourado Having third party cookies default will first of break TH-cam comments as they are delivered by Google+
Can I just say how even though most people knew about cookies for a while now, the public wasn't *that* concerned until Cambridge Analytica happened? And yet after that, nobody called the cookies but rather "trackers".
Who edits the fast as possible videos? I cracked (pun intended) up at the fortune cookie image at 0:54, the Chinese words actually mean "I love Dennis" xD
Me and my dad had this little argument. I said you can only get viruses etc. if you actually download stuff, and he said you can get them just by being on virus-filled sites. Who is correct?
Pro-Vegemite supporter. There are 2 types of Marmite.. UK Marmite.. and the rest of the world Marmite. I would not say the UK one is great but it is better then the other that they tired.
Funny thing Linus, Marmite is actually much more of a thing in the UK, we prefer Vegemite down here, Marmite is a weird sweet version that tastes terrible.
Can you do a video about Bits for music production like what each step up allows composers to do in the studio like 8-bit vs 16-bit vs 24-bit vs 32-bit vs -64 and so on, with regards to how much data can be stored or how many functions are possible and what could be achieved with more. and also the physical advantages like higher bit rate quality plz go into real depth even if it ends up an hour. I'm no tech or studio engineer but I have a small home studio for writing and recording my own music. I'm curious about the differences so I can best make use of my 64-bit system running Pro Tools with 16GB RAM and a Core i7 4990K hopefullyI could learn to be more efficient with its resource's giving me less problems with regards to getting errors telling me My CPU cant handle 4 stereo tracks that don't even have any plugins in use on 24-bit 44.1 kHz or that its choking playback of a session where I have 7 tracks 2 stereo and 5 mono with only light plugin usage on a system as powerful as mine. (which is total bullshit btw because at college their Macs only have an i3 processor and 4-GB of RAM the bare minimum to rum P.T and I've seen it handle over 10 stereo and 4 MIDI tracks with Heavy resource intensive Plugins multiple ins and outs to and from buses on 24-bit 96 kHz with out even burping so WTF) pro tools specific info would be nice but anything about this in general would be a massive help. Thanx :)
You're pretty much covered for the next 4-5 years.... If you have the extra cash, take a look at skylake cpu/mobo (ddr4 support can bring some extra futureproofing to your machine)
240mm rad = 2 x 120mm fans 280mm rad = 2 x 140mm fans I think he's going with the idea that larger fans are quieter. Check if your case can fit a 280mm rad

Hi Linus Media Group. Explaining browser cache would be a good topic for the less informed. A good topic and very important. I guess i'll see if they read this stuff.

Vegemite is best with hot toast, butter and just a little thin spread of vegemite and then as your taste buds get manly enough you add more vegemite to the mix !!

@3:22 you should also activate the "send do not track request" (though that's different is also related to privacy).
