    Great video !! If I may add one last trick that is the ice on the cake.
    Using the humanizer fonction on the drum and bass tracks to slightly randomize the timing of midi notes and their velocity.
    This really improve the backing track.

      One bass track is just fine! The FX you need on that track is a... Bass VST. I use Trilian, but that's quite expensive and a bit old. I think Eurobass is a good one at a decent price, but there are also free ones. Maybe this one www.pluginboutique.com/product/1-Instruments/64-Virtual-Instrument/4386-Ample-Bass-P-Lite-II/?a_aid=5e31f3f1b63c2 or this plugins4free.com/plugin/190/
      I have four bass tracks because I split the signal up into separate frequency bands and apply different effects to different bands. That's a bit advanced for right now, but I made a video about it if you're interested: th-cam.com/video/CFujjaeDPzo/w-d-xo.html

    Hey! Great video. Drums are pretty much perfect but I have a problem with the bass track.
    I exported the midi file from guitar pro and just as you showed dragged it into reaper, got all the tracks set in seperate channels. I used a Bass midi plugin Ample Sound P lite as fx but lower notes are not registered at all. At first it made sense since the track was tuned down to D standard but I could adjust the tuning in the vst instrument also to D, but it still made no difference. I figured it's out of range, doesn't make any sense but whatever. So I tried another plugin, the name I don't recall, which had 5 and 6 string basses. I tried them all but lower notes can't be heard still. What could cause this issue? Is midi file the problem, or the way I imported it into reaper. Can't see how it's still out of range with a 6 string bass. If you have any idea, I'd appreciate it.

      Sometimes midi bass plugins are set one octave lower by default (I know Trilian is for instance) for them to be more playable on a midi keyboard. That could make the lower tones go out of range. You can usually adjust that in the plugin, or move the midi notes one octave up.

      @@osiris-guitar Thanks for the fast reply. I'll try that. I don't know how I can adjust the octave once the midi is imported in Reaper. Is there a way or should I just do that in GP?

      @@BerkayVatansever In reaper I would just open the midi editor, mark all notes and drag them up one octave

      Ah, I found it. It only shows on guitar pro tabs that are not official. "Makes sense". Thanks, Osiris! Great Video. Followed along with your video using Logic Pro. This is exactly what I needed.

    didn't even know you could download guitar profiles, perhaps you should have explained what to search for, for the uninitiated that is?

    • @osiris-guitar
      @osiris-guitar  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's Guitar Pro files, not profiles :-). Guitar Pro is an application for guitar tabs, with MIDI embedded. Guitar Pro files end in .gp5 or .gpx. They're available on sites like ultimateguitar.com and 911tabs.com. There's a free application called TuxGuitar that can open the files as well. Just search google for "songname guitar pro" to find some files.
