    Before we can jump on board to depend on this idea safely, the World need to do these following things:
    1. Kill corruption.
    2. Eliminate crimes.
    3. Everyone has access to education and has a right for education.
    4. Everyone has access to travel travel services.
    5. Everybody stops smoking, drinking alcohol, and using any kinds of drugs.
    6. End greed, lust and selfishness.

      All these thing you listed people will never give up. Government breeds corruption, no matter how utopian you 'think' you can make it. Everybody in the US has the opportunity for further education but only a fraction of the country goes to college. Alcohol and tobacco are both extremely profitable and addictive, not to mention prescription drugs being advertised on every TV station you can watch, and pharmaceuticals are one of the most profitable markets in the world. You will NEVER convince people to stop taking their happy pills. And to think people, especially westerners, will willingly give up greed, lust and self-centeredness.... this is what makes the west the west. Get used to it.

    • @BartekJuszczak
      @BartekJuszczak 9 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Basically a piece of software stored on a chip inside a device that controls the hardware inside the device. An update to the firmware may for example include a new way of using the hardware in order to do something new.

    • @JugglingAnusJuggler
      @JugglingAnusJuggler 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      ***** Firmware is physically stored on a chip or board as the Read Only Memory (ROM) and it is in charge of recognizing and initializing the hardware. Drivers are software-based and control the hardware once the OS takes over.

    Would have liked to see some debate around privacy and product downgrades. While having everything connected to the Internet and cooperating sounds exciting, it exposes our personal life and private information to new threats. There is also an issue with letting manufacturers push updates to firmware and software on devices, as they could potentially remove features that were present at the time of purchase. You can say "They would never do that", but it has happened before. Just take a look at Grand Theft Auto: Sand Andreas. While this isn't a physical device, the game has received updates via Steam that removes in-game content, and even re-introduced old game breaking bugs.

    When it comes to automotive security, I'd much prefer the engineers leave the entertainment and infotainment system connected to the wi-fi, but leave the engine computer separate entirely. This makes the car completely unhackable (unless someone gets physical access to the car).
    When it comes to updating the car's firmware, they can do it during maintenance checkups. That's easy enough.

    some process facilities such as oil processing facilities actually use an internet of things to remotely monitor the process without even having to be within the facility (they can monitor whether something at the facility needs to be fixed from the comfort of their home. however there will always be someone in the control room for safety reasons).

    The main thing I don't like about the Internet of things is the possibility of hacking into these things and destroying the system, I have seen what people can do right now with things you can buy or things many people own, and it is already dangerous enough, but if you add in even more things that could kill/maim people with and things that are connected, it wouldn't be pretty. Note: this is my paranoid side talking and my knowledge of this stuff is limited to a few videos and some research online, and remember that if cyber security gets better and better (which it should) this won't be a huge deal to me, but with security now and these concepts it kind of scares me a bit.

    Firmware updates to cars have been a thing for a while, although only pretty recently has it been wireless. If you take your car in for a service part of the service usually is checking the error codes through the OBD2 port and if there are firmware updates you install them.

    • @chris195868
      @chris195868 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      But firmware updates wouldn't add huge new features, it would be more like a couple smaller things and some bugfixes

    • @ColtaineCrows
      @ColtaineCrows 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      That really depends on the car, some things would be quite substantial, giving better fuel efficiency and such, but for the most part it would just be minor tweaks.

    • @Arthurzeiro

    • @ColtaineCrows
      @ColtaineCrows 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ArthurAlcantara Well technically yes, even though improving the ECU is for the most part improving everything else since the "ECU" is basically the main controller of every other system nowadays.

    1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
    2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
    3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Laws.

    • @ArchinaGM
      @ArchinaGM 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      work will still exist but it will mostly be on either the creative side or the more scientific side. labour jobs can all be automated and once we go far enough we could even have self-maintaining/repairing machines. People wouldn't just give you food, shelter and luxuries for free so when automation threatens to take your job you'd need to find a different way of earning money.

      ***** fun thing is, robots can already replace our creative work...

    • @Navhkrin
      @Navhkrin 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Alexej Mitin They cannot. Machines are uncapable of thinking. All they can do is run some complex algorithms that will question diffrent things. But they are uncapable of thinking very deeply . As for saying a machine could never find existance of god. It would not be able to find big bang theory.
      And most important of all it would never be able to catch up with creativity of humans as a machines intellligence can only be as good as the one that codes it.

    • @alexm.208
      @alexm.208 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Navhkrin I see where you are coming from but computers so compose music so well that 90% of people cannot guess right whether or not it was written by a computer or human

    • @Navhkrin
      @Navhkrin 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Alexej Mitin Yes but when making music it does not think "this sounds beatiful" or "this sounds ugly". It just uses the prebuilt algorithm's that were originally made by humans. If left alone no computer is capable of writing 'beatiful music algorithm' by itself as it is incapable of understanting what fun means in first place

    As some one who loves technology, i fucking hate this. I don't need a fridge with a tv. I don't need a washing machine with wifi. All that does is make it break easier, and make it harder to fix. I hate all the bullshit car companies put Like blutooth. I don't want that. I want a car without traction control and a V8. None of that electronic crap. Connectivity is for electronics only if you ask me. Phones, tvs, PCs, not my front door lock so people can simply hack it easily. I mean ffs I'm 19 and I don't want that shit. What happens when I'm 40 and that's all I can buy. FFS.

    • @ColtaineCrows
      @ColtaineCrows 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Bryan Neill Weell, it depends, traction control in some early forms would essentially choke the engine instead of intelligently distributing the power to the wheel with grip, so in some cases I would often disable the traction control, the unfortunate side effect of that is that the traction control is tied into the ABS system which is really nice to have.
      As for team0blackmanner if you want a simple car with a V8 and no electronics, well, buy something old, if you want something reliable buy a mid 90's Toyota, if you want something reliable that's newer, buy pretty much anything after 2005 and it's probably more reliable than any old and simple car. Electronics in cars has come a long way and apart from the odd sensor failing, which usually doesn't cause any issues other than a check engine light and happens less and less these days, newer cars are more reliable than older ones.

    A.I. that could work at that level would NEED sentience, which isn't something that, at this time, a programmer could code in.

    I know this channel focuses on technology, but if you mention automation, you should also mention the social aspects of it. I'm not an expert in any way, but people should know about #basicincome if they are worried about implementing job automation in the future. Do your research people. The future has the potential to be very bright if we do things right.

    Bots cannot replace Nurses. Nurses are human. That is crucial to the recovery of a patient as the Nurse may/will have feelings or attachment to a patient. I know this from personal experience. Replacing drivers? Yeah that's possible. Waiters? Possible too.
