All happening at a time when Im almost done with my smart phone. Its so nice to just leave it at home. No distractions and its amazing how freeing it is.
This is The best lesson on IoT that i have ever watched. This guy made me understand the essence of these 3 words (Internet Of Things) and how fast it is evolving and how essential it will become someday for each and every aspect in life. That’s pretty much interesting to understand and adapt
@@camilotics he just gave an example that everyone could relate to.. What could be more relatable than our own home in which we live in?? He wanted everyone to understand it's power of automation.. One of the best presentations I have ever seen, not so much the material (pretty high level), but the story telling aspect and how everything structured was captivating.
Ok... i don't know why but, i'm watching this in the same moment that coronavirus (covid-19) is chasing us, and the fact that he talked about how IOT can early detect diseases like the flu and prevent what we are going through makes me think a lot of things.
The covid 'pandemic', BLM, 5G and Lockdowns/social distancing are all being used to bring changes to society.. and its all leading uo to smart cities. 5g is the engine of a smart city
Kazzy Kaioken on the dot! these things/events are simply devices set in place by the true forces in power to be utilized by them for the reconstruction the infrastructures in which they operate.
I like his unfounded optimistic trust that banks do their best to make sure their data is secure. In all my time I've pretended to be a software developer (as opposed to being a mathematician), the one thing I have learned is that we're *far* from doing security right, and financial institutions are sometimes among the worst offenders.
I have always thought of the internet as an internet of ideas rather than people. We don't see most of the people we connect to, and we choose who we meet by having like-minded ideas or being drawn to those with new ideas that interest us. This is an important distinction because the ideas we share and the connections we make are not limited by distance or culture and has been the value of the internet to the world.
as an average PC gamer, i did not realize so many of these THINGS were already available so many years ago, like any one of these wearable instruments would be a significant boost to my quality of life
That is sensual wisdom and knowledge and information which never and will never change who you are inherently nor has the ability to transform you into someone better, so no one is actually moved forward in the real sense
This description about iot has evoke my interest even more in it. Better ideas would definitely lead to its wonderful applications in near future to develop smart cities. Hats off to the anchor!!👌👍
Amazing presentation that is very informative even as of today in 2022, devices like these truly have been life changing and are still continuing to be developed today. Cant wait to see how IoT continues to develop in the future.
You said a lot of important things and now I understand why we must use this technology. IoT enables human-to-human, machine-to-machine, and human-to-machine interactions that will shape how our automobiles operate.
Great talk. Informative and relatively easy to follow (coming from someone is only barely reasonably tech savvy). Speaker started off slightly accelerated, but flowed well into the rest of the talk after the hyper introduction. 👍
So he used a fear tactic "but it can save you from a heart attack!" to completely side step the very real security issues of the internet of things and we are just supposed to be like enough said?
Potentially, any technology can have both beneficial and malicious ramifications. So, by only presenting it in a positive light, one becomes guilty of lying by omission.
I checked out the boy who beeps commercial btw and its pretty cool. for a class project, my question is how does this relate to the future of the internet? i can't quite summarize how it will benefit/effect us in the future. pros and cons?
Even more reason why I want to reach heaven faster than destined. The place where our senses work the way it should..where you will still need each other to live and love 💚
Thank you so much for clear explanation. I wonder if you can share any information about how I4.0 is/will be effecting competencies. What will change at human profile and how to be prepared for this change as workers/managers? Underdevelopped countries where labour is cheap , will loose this advantage and how they will survive?
what if sensor sensed wrong and you donot respond well in time...like in your last example you have no heart attack but ambulance is at your door to take you to the hospital??? so may be future work is about sense accurately but is such a sensor invented so far which tell exactly what human, animal or things want/need a specific moment
Hi Benson, its Dec 2019, (5 years) do we have any live example (any medical Institution / country/etc.) of medical system which is very fascinating towards IoT
3 years later... Great video.... This is all about to boom in ways that are inconceivable; most of the world doesn't know how much impact this will have in our lives.
5G IOT basically was slowly killing me. It pushes out 60GHZ from each of your wireless devices. Causing: Anger, agitation, severe anxious ness, insomnia brain fog, migraines, memory loss, rashes on my stomach, bleeding in my stool, a month later my little Yorkie started bleeding too, insomnia. These frequencies were making me go mad, the more wireless devices that’s on... It will kill everything.
Hello sir... This video really helps me get aware about Internet of things ...I really please to have watch this man talking about things generally can be conected to the network by consisting a huge or a small range of data and provide an accuracy with fast process ..according to me I think we are developing a world having a huge technology smarter than before and just trying hard to make the world more closer to people around the world with addictive uses in our life
1:50 I might be looking at this the wrong way but isn't the information these things gather valuable to the owners of the things and not the things themselves?
I'd rather do all those stuff (lights, coffe, temperature...) myself than being tracked and monitored every second. If I wanted all those things, I'd create my own applications and devices to make sure it's not sent to Google, NSA and all those corporations (oh yeah, call it a conspiracy, whatever). It makes me sick when I imagine the future BASED on IoT (today it's the electricity that's the key for working civilisation, in the future it's the IoT) or something like that. Yes, it's nice, but I'd rather have dumb phone, dumb house but smart people around me than smart phones, smart house and dumb people aroud who can't do a sh*t themselves. That's it.
+Lukas Jindra I agree and share your feelings. we are slipping extremely fast on path of living life unlike human beings. overuse of technology and remaining disintegrated with nature has already introduced so many new diseases and world around us has become more insecure. IOT might come with it's own challenges , we need to handle technology innovation with care and should not get obsess with it. we live with 5 senses - adding any further senses around us would be disastrous for out existence as human beings.
You're already monitored every second. Any social media account, job, purchase that you make is another way of tracking you. The IoT is going to revolutionize manufacturing. Machines will be able to gather data and tell other machines when something is going to break before it does. There are positives and negatives, but being completely against it is just dumb. The world will move forward while you are left behind.
Surely IoT is a very stimulating tech part and he explained that very wel ut at some parts it felt like "if this is the only thing that it can do then I am fine without it too".
I am already scared of the consequences which it will have on us. We will loose more memory, more dependency, more boredom. will their be any space left for solitude?
Hello, everyone I have one question about the IT section. I am an Embedded engineer and working in a company since last year. But during this period I come to know that, IOT development becomes an essential part of today's life. Every company needs embedded as well as IOT engineer. I am totally newbie in the software part. I know embedded c language but I totally aware of the software part. So my question is if I want to develop software then which language I should learn first. In my previous project I was reading sensor values which were fitted in different areas in the farm, and that reading I was sent to the server using MQTT protocol. as I don't know how to do web coding, so what I did I connected one nodemcu to take a decision depending on the sensor values. depending on that condition I was operating motors which were installed on a farm. but after doing this stuff I come to know that this process takes too much time, in order to match condition, so I want to replace those decisions taking responsibility by software. hence I am asking that, in order to get started to develop software which programming language I should learn first. Now suppose I develop software then it will take the decision and I can easily remove nodemcu but when I will shut down my pc then obviously that software also going to close and software also get close. hence decision-taking software must be always online to get data, it means web kind of stuff. now suppose I want to develop web-based software then how to do it? I hope you got my point. Please let me know, from where I should start to learn to code for software. Your any help would be appreciated. Sorry for my bad English. - yadnik
YD SN Hi, I work with IOT and what I can suggest is for prototype use, you’ll need C++ language and for industrial which is PLC/PAC language. IOT uses web interface but there’s several you can use, since you are using nodemcu, you can try with node.js, it’s using JavaScript. Through that, you can create a server called Node-RED and it’s a complex dashboard that you can use for data communication. If you need extra analysis report with Node-RED, you’ll need to at least learn a bit about HTML and CSS.
"But I like the inconveniences."
"We don't," said the Controller. "We prefer to do things comfortably."
