- Might possibly be a spoiler but assuming you know nothing about this rom hack and its plot, just enjoy the one on one battle. Dat critical animation.
The seemingly redundant move to the bottom of the map is actually what I had to do to reproduce the same results on my android GBA emulator onto my VBA (in terms of the outcome of the fight).

Damn, this was so badass. This game gets ragged in but this is one of my favorite moments in all of media. The buildup, the tension, the music, it all forms a complete package that works so well.

You know, when I listened to this arrangement of Alloy Warrior by itself, I didn't think it was hype enough, but in battle it's almost perfect.

he didn't make the remix, and due to the limitations of the gba, the theme is just a midi version.

It's fair enough that some say the arrangements sound messy. The instrument loudness could've used some better balancing, for sure. Then the instrument choice itself: it doesn't just use the standard GBA FE soundfont, but also the "default MIDI" instruments. (Understandable, since it's FE and one would expect the soundtrack to sound the part.) It's associated with a "plain" kind of sound, but that doesn't mean there's no good MIDI music out there. I mean, just ask the Classic Doom modding community.
Kelik is my best performer promoted him with the heaven seal steight after and gave him acetaris and flamebueege strught and he is unstoppable

fun game and all but man some of the lines like u can do it... or the crits like the main character crit kinda lazy... other than that... I like the game
I see this everywhere, but I find this a very dull hack.
It's a very... 'hard to be hard' hack. Similarly like The Sun God's Wrath - they're both beautiful and definitely have a ton of love put into them, they're just missing something. It's probably just down to preference in the end.
I'm bothered more by the Animu cheeziness and non-fluid animations than anything else personally.
@@irregularzero9537 animu cheese can be fun if done right (I feel in comparison Pandan's Vision Quest a perfect blend of this) but LP and SGW certainly take the cake of cheese

This game is an edgy mess literally made by a 13 year old, but it led to so much. TLP was made well before the great animations we come to expect today
What are the great animations in today's rom hacks you speak of?
And still 99% of all people who shit on this would never be able to create something like this especially not as a teenager.

People judge this rom hack like it was made by a triple A studio, TLP doesn't deserve the hate, what Blaze has accomplished at 13 years old back in 2012 was incredible. Voice acting, full written story (not the brightest tho), post game content, rearranged music from anime and jrpgs, fun gameplay and maps all for free made with passion for the genre.
What in the actual fuck is wrong with people expecting this to be a full fledged game with shakespeare level of writing, 60fps sprite animation, music composed from scratch, and sprites made by Michelangelo. I see them always complaining and never enjoy what this hackrom for what it actually is.
I tried making a romhack in high school almost 7 years ago with vastly more resources on how to do it and I still can't make a fully fledged one. It's probably more because I'm not exactly bright but still, calling it a 'mess' is such a stretch.
Kelik’s crit reminds me of Savage Wolf Fury
Their dialogue is taking straight out of Yuri and Flynn's battle in Vesperia, so... it was pretty much intentional.
Yes it’s just before Flynn and yuri fight each other, if you never played tales of vesperia it’s a beautiful game
