- Warning! - I may rant on about the story in the description so be aware there might be spoilers there if you read through it.
The Last Promise was created by Blazer and is a hack for Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword. This hack is a full length adventure filled with danger, some new items & classes as well as music, and a very well balanced difficulty curve.

ROM should be easy enough to find on your own.
So it begins.
The final map theme here and well as the theme for the final boss are both pretty awesome. A good thing because the final boss will not go down without one hell of a fight.
The boss packs Raikiri, a weapon with no attack power, but the final boss has the stats to make that a non threat.
Speaking of its stats, they are scary freaking high. Its speed deserves special mention though. It's so high that Kelik is the only person on your team that will NOT get doubled by the boss, and even then only if Kelik wields Arectaris. This boss also has a high enough skill that it will be getting at least a 6% crit chance against anyone with 30 luck.
What this basically means is your playing a game of chance anytime you have to attack or the boss attacks anyone without the Iron Rune.
Now if you think you can just have the one with the Iron Rune do all the work, you're wrong. There is a second problem here.
You know how Anakin in his promoted class gets to regen 20% of his max HP at the start of every player phase?
Yes, the final boss has that exact same damned ability. It's going to be getting back 24 HP everytime the enemy phase begins so you have to toss all of your best fighters at the final boss and pray to hell you connect with enough attacks to make progress.
...Oh yes the boss has 100 avoid, have fun! Thank god it doesn't move eh?
Final thing unique to it is that everyone in your army gets a unique conversation with the final boss, hence the reason I have Haas attack with a Bloody Rifle, even when he wasn't going to hit. Pretty nice touch I have to say given who this person is and the reasoning for why this fight is occuring in the first place.
First thing's first, arrange everyone outside of the boss's range. Raikiri has a 1-2 range so be aware of that.
When ready, begin the attack and just pray pray pray. Using anyone very well skilled in spear usage along with Sylmeria gives you the best chance possible of hitting the final boss.
When all of your attackers have used their turns, use a healer with Fortify to heal everyone up. Anakin can give the healer another turn if another usage of Fortify is required to bring everyone up to full, a task that you will need to do if someone gets criticaled.
Eventually, final boss goes down and you breathe a sigh of relief.
I have to say this run at the final boss went amazingly well. Tons of attacks hit in the first round, putting a major dent in the final boss's HP. Of course the first person to be criticaled by it is the one with the highest luck of the close range fighters. Doubly so when said person is Rex, haha. Thank god his defense is capped because he can survive a crit and a normal hit at full HP.
Second round...did not go quite as well, but progress was still made.
Round three...well, I was planning to set it up so Rex could get the final blow. Figured I'd let Captain Badass get one final boss kill by impalement to close out the main game walkthrough.
Of course, Kelik did something equally awesome and I couldn't argue with how he ended the fight.

Well,because this sword(Raikiri)has the same particolar thing of the Raijinto:Attacks with Lighting(Thunder) attacks,both for melee and ranged attacks(As the Raijinto does.),and then...the name "Siegfried" speaks for itself.

Backstory: Siegfried, Xander's sword, turns into a human somehow many years after the events of Fates, every unit playable in Fates is dead, Siegfried then takes the Raijinto and renamed it Raikiri because it doesn't like a Japanese name and also thinks "DARKNESS IS BETTER THAN "LIGHTNESS" " like its retarded

I really like how Siegfried waits before his crit. It almost seems like he's regretting what he's about to do.
The anticipation and weight is nice, and it makes the least technically interesting part of the animation the most exciting. Good work by Blazer or whoever made it.

Honestly one of the most classic Fe Rom hacks of the past. It may be cheesy and badly written now but considering this came out in 2010 and is one of the most iconic Rom Hacks to date is something to be reckoned with.
Also, the memes. Kelik is badly written but man is he a true Edgelord; "How much weight can you handle?"

Alrighty, added in some character final stats to the description. Mostly just my primary party. Characters like Haas? Just assume he had the stats he joined with since he was only in this fight to get characters out of range in an emergency.
And no, you are not the only one that gets a laugh from his melee dodge animation, heh.
in the chapter where you have to fight howard, you have to have cia talk to him before he is defeated. Then in the scene where you WOULD leave him, he changes his mind and joins you instead. He is incredably useful as he has access to the weapon triangle.

Back after playing Trails in the Sky. This game use of the OST Silver Will made me search out the theme and play the game.
I was the opposite of you: I played Trails in the sky, loved Silver Will, googled it, and wound up here.

Kevin had an A support with Rex, and a B support with Howard. He only took 3 damage (6 since he still got doubled). The only stat booster I gave him was the boots. Kevin is clearly the best boss killer.

The battle music is Sublime Domain from Valkyrie Chronicles: Covenant of the Plume. The field theme is Silver Will, from...I don't actually know, but you can probably find it. Hope I helped.

Heh, there's a reason Rex is my favorite unit to use in the game. Granted I believe that was with a few stat boosters. Three Secret Books, an Angelic Robe, and I think one Lucky Charm and one pair of Boots too.
There's a reason I call him Captain Badass, heh. I'm still curious as to what his growths are too.
Maybe I am late (and you might already know Rex's growths) but I'll provide the info you want
Rex's Growths
HP: 80 STR: 40 SKL: 40 SPD: 45 LCK: 45 DEF: 35 RES: 20
So in all actuality he is just a balanced soldier.
Why is everyone so polite to Seigfried in this fight?
This is prob late, but SPOILER
He is a party member earlier in the game but dies and is poorly revived by an antagonist. He retains his thought, but he cannot control his body which is impulsively fighting to defend itself. Basically, he wants your party (his friends) to let him finally rest, and a lot of them don't want to.

Tram, what you mean by "betray"? According to Sieg, he did mentioned that he betrayed them but not as in killing the team, but rather he used them for his personal reasons. If you mean why the entire team is fighting him now is because he is already DEAD but that dude, uhhhhh Lahar or something, brought his soul back and stick it into his body once more. Sadly, he is unable to fully control his body and his soul remains stuck. Therefore, Anakin and the rest has to put him to rest to release him.
The voice acting was a new improvment in my opinion a made the Seig critical epic! I started to play FE hacks after see his animations
Why is Siegfried an enemy? What about Shon? Where's he? I haven't got that far into the game but I don't mind spoilers.
+Evan Rinaldi He was killed during an attack from reanimated corpses when the sorcerer Lahar appeared, but then Lahar took his body and redirected the flow of ether into his sword (Raikiri) for some time, keeping his consciousness within a sword. Eventually Lahar manages to put the flow of ether into Sieg, but it's so strong that he regains (some) control and kills Lahar. However, he instinctively wishes to protect his body, and if he isn't killed, his ether will dissipate into the air: a fate worse than death. So the crew must strike him down upon his request.

I'm more curious about Karina. She turned out to be a flying death machine in both of my games. I did some RNG tinkering to get my second runthrough's characters to look nice, but Karina didn't take very much-- I had to futz around with her at level 18 or so and only then to get a couple points to round off her values. She wound up pretty much a point or two away just naturally from maxing most stats.
It made me cry hahahaha!! except for the yu can do it part*sigh*

A final boss who always has a looming crit rate on you, as well as massive stats. I had better prepare down the line. As I am making a run at The Last Promise.
