Saw him live at a venue in Sugarland TX 5 years ago. He was, at that time, 82 years old and still singing his heart out. Standing ovation at the end, with 2 or 2 curtain calls. The "4 Seasons" were a group of young guys and sounded no different than the original group. Valli did all the old standards as well as songs that never charted but were every bit as good. THE best song they have is “WHO LOVES YOU”…fantastic 70’s harmony disco groove. You’ll thank me!! 🔥🔥🔥💯
Great song and reaction
Great selection!! Good to play for your girlfriend a day later! 🙆
If you've seen the movie, "Grease" then you've heard Frankie Valli singing the title song. Lots of great songs from Frankie and the Four Seasons. "Who Loves You" is another one from this period in time that was a hit as well.
I was 9 years old when this song was released and I have loved it since the first time I heard it on the radio. Back then I was on a swimming team and one of my teammates said he had the 45 record of this and was willing to sell it to me. I bought it from him. Not sure what I paid him, probably a couple of bucks. This song is featured in the musical Jersey Boys and as I remember it from seeing it this song was written by Bob Gaudio about his first sexual encounter with a woman.
Yes Sam you’re correct. The song was played in Dirty Dancing.
Been in a couple of movies,I played gutair in band for ten years played it every weekend fun groovy song
It's DISCO!! As we said back then, the music catered for Party Harty!
Frankie sings the "Grease" movie theme, which was written by Barry Gibb.
was in New Zealand and going to a club with friends to spend the evening with a bunch of girls we met there during that year... long time ago now
🤣,was born in "63" Great song 😉😊
Stevens Point, WI, Trivia weekend, the only time every year I heard this song growing up. Shout out.
This is the Mid-70s version of the Four Seasons, the only original member was Frankie Valli. They had another hit with these members, with the song "Who Loves You". Also in the mid-70s Frankie had a bunch of solo hits, some kind of, disco one being "Swearin' to God" and "Grease" among others...
My favourite by them is also a 70’s song 72 i think….The Night……it has wonderful bass intro and was popular in uk as part of the Northern Soul era
My favorite Frankie song is "Grease".
Sherry is my all-time favorite... 👍👍
Yep, I was born in late Dec 63. What a night that was
I am betting as you learn more and hear more you both will realize you know a ton of the music!!
That's their "take-two" era, disco era stage, like the Bee-Gees. "Ragdoll", "Cherry", "Walk Like A Man" to name a few of their hits.
