They had so many great hits together such as "Sherry", "Walk Like a Man", "Candy Girl", "Let's Hang On!", "Working My Way Back to You", "I've Got You Under My Skin" etc. When Frankie went out on his own in the 70's, the songs "My Eyes Adored You" & "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" were big hits for him. Also he had a hit with the song "Grease" from the movie. Always loved that he was able to sing in a falsetto voice.

I am not even bullshitting, I used to work in Illinois, Wisconsin with Billy Dalton of "The Royal Teens " (She Wears short shorts)" Anyway, Billy was the guitarist who played that iconic first lick in 59. Bob Guida left the band and hooked up Frankie Vallie and the rest is history. I met Billy Dalton in 2010, he became an engineer and died of a heart attack in 2012 at Blackhawk Farms Raceway.

We were jamming' back then! 50's started the rockin', the 60's picked it up a step ot two and then it soared into the 70's and 80's.. Best music was in those 4 decades. People/groups had talent, you had to be able to sing and have a unique style or sound. Now there isn't very much talent needed with auto tune and piecing together sound bites from old songs. Music is electronically produced.
That's why people like you, who have reaction channels are so welcomed. You are sharing a wealth of music to the younger generations who have never experienced the great music and sounds from the past. They hear sound bites in movies or tv commercials and don't realize that it's more than just sound bites.
I hope that channels like yours will inspire new talent. Thanks for doing what you do. I enjoy your reactions.

Good one guys ! Lead vocals by the drummer & you can hear Frankie in the chorus.
Beautiful song & so much talent in the studio. Please watch the video. Frankie's ears were going but still kicked it out !
It was written in the 70's 76 or 77. They are remembering the past.

This song is definitely a 1970s song. The song is talking about coming of age back in 1963. This came out during the Disco heyday.

Asia and BJ, you need to react to the actual video so you can see the drummer Gerry Polci who is from my home town Passaic, NJ, singing lead. This was The Four Season's biggest hit without Frankie Valli singing lead.

Frankie sings the bridge but Gerry Polci sings the lead. There is a video where you can see them perform (lip synching) so you can see who does what.

Should be watching the actual videos. Everyone in the band were amazing players on their instruments....But they each were great singers
It's fun to see it in person (video) 🔥

I saw the Four Seasons live in 1976 because I had a crush on the drummer Gerry Polci (for years in fact 😆). I wore out the first single record and had to buy another one!

Went #1 for 2 weeks on the Billboard Weekly Top 40 in the spring of '76. The song was BOSS on every pop radio station back then.

Add the movie "Jersey Boys" to your watch list. It's a biographical movie based on the Broadway musical "Jersey Boys", about the legendary Four Seasons. The movie was directed by Clint Eastwood.

Just so you know, only the chorus was sung by Franki Valli. They pulled him in to sing the chorus. He got his fame thru Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Early boy band.

It's a 70s song. He's reminiscing about 1963, which at that time was only, like, a decade or so earlier :)

The song features drummer Gerry Polci on lead vocals, with Frankie Valli, the group's usual lead vocalist, singing the bridge sections and backing vocals and bass player Don Ciccone singing the falsetto part.

There's a movie called JERSEY BOYS that's about how this group came to be. One of their friends during this time was Joe Pesci. Of course he wasn't famous yet. It's a great movie. There's even a Broadway musical too.

One of Frankie Valli's GREATEST songs (besides the one you just listened to) is My Eye's Adored You.
The inspection for him writing that song is a HEART BREAKER. It's a MUST listen to song.

The early mid 60's were just a groove. Light and airy, carefree
Pure fun. Just saw this came out in '76 amazing because it's exactly like what they did in early 60's. No matter when it came out it was just fun
