For example, if she's a flight risk, then setting a bond amount of $5,000 when she owns $50,000-worth of jewelry, houses, cars, etc. etc., then it wouldn't deter her from not appearing on her court date. She may not show up at all, so while she may not want to answer that question, then she's only doing herself a disservice.

Saying goodbye in another language shouldn’t make your sentence or your bail more expensive just because he didn’t like her, she didn’t insult him and was clearly nervous laughing, she wasn’t laughing for real, you can tell it’s nerves.

That's always like that. In France a woman killed her hurband with a shotgun because he hit her (hands; she didn't killed him WHILE he was hitting her, but when he was sleeping). Got sentenced to jail, EVERYBODY said it was scandalous. She got released (a pardon) at the end of the year after just a few months and now runs free. A young girl killed 2 kids (lurred them, killed them, showed no remorse not respect to anybody), got sentenced. Got out 6 years later. Everybody says it's normal, that she deserves a life.
