Though I'm 65 years old, I love your channel, Taylor. Didn't have social media when I was your age, but I appreciate your witness to other young ladies, and actually to people of all ages. God instructed us to rest on the Sabbath. Its not just for the Jews. It's one of the 10 commandments and most people seem to agree that the other nine commandments are applicable to Christians, but most seem to think that the 4th commandment is not for us. Jesus said to walk as he walked and he and the other disciples observed the Sabbath. Believers should be doing so as well. God knew we needed it. Thank you for your channel! :)

My family has been taking the sabbath very seriously lately. And we have been so blessed by it. I would recommend it to everyone! The bible commands a sabbath and yet today we act like its an option.
I don’t know if “does it count?” is the right question. Because God knows our hearts and he knows our intentions and he loves it when we put effort in trying to obey him. But for my family personally we were very convicted about the parts and scripture that talk about Saturday being the true sabbath rest. Many times in the Bible it says that God rested on the seventh day and he made it holy. And that just seemed very clear to us. And for us humans to just move the day God says side is holy Seems weird. Like why did we have to change it? And after switching our sabbath to Saturday, we have just been blessed tenfold from our Sabbath by doing this. They have been so restful and such a gift! So I am only speaking from My own experience here. I think taking any Sabbath day is commanded, but who knows maybe try doing it on Saturday and see if you feel his blessings even more on that day That he made Holy. And ofc what is of utmost importance is asking him about it! And listening the the Holy Spirit. Hope this helped in anyway🫶

However, he can be worshiped on any day if Sunday is impractical for unusual circumstances. It's not about the legalistic Pharisee "it has to be Saturday" it's about the spiritual intent to worship and honor God as he desires from us.

Sabbath rest is very important. It is a little more difficult with little kids running around but yes it needs to be done. God created the day of rest for us...in creation week. This is pre-law. Yes Jesus is Lord over the sabbath, and it is not about law keeping. But it is about not skip-able forever. When I worked 2 jobs almost never getting a day off of work I realized how much of a blessing sabbath rest is.

Silence is a great tool. Just had some of that after Mass this morning, went to the adoration chapel to be alone with Jesus. Even on crazy days, my regret is NOT to have spent at least some quiet time with Him. Work and life can drown you out but that's when it's most important to have that time of silence. Exactly Taylor, that is why our Designer and Creator God, has given us six days to do all we want, but one to rest, fast and spend time with him, it is one of his "Top Ten" list of what is the most important from all he wants from us (Commandments), the thing is that we do not realize what that day is designed for, and instead we just call it a "going to Church" day and we even change the day to a different one. May our Lord God keep on using you for this important ministry he has given you the gift to do. You are always in my Prayers.

As Christians we can sometimes forget to take time to rest. That is, we forget to put aside our daily distractions and rest in Him. It is important to remind ourselves to do our daily devotionals, our "quiet times" with Him. It doesn't need to be lengthy periods of time. It can be a few minutes and be spent anywhere. God made us to need a rest day, to avoid burn out...: what I have found an extra blessing is setting aside specifically the 7th day, as Jesus did, for it says that God made this the rest day for us, too, by putting his holiness in to it, too. This is my experience; let us each truly plan a rest day each week, for being refreshed by God's presence and the presence of his holy angels, as well.

Americans have a tough time with rest. One of the devil's biggest lies is "God helps those who help themselves"... or in other words "DON'T rest". Remember the story of Mary and Martha in Luke chapter 10? MARY made the correct choice...to sit at Jesus' feet... to rest and learn from Him.

Well my family are catholic. I am trying to complete my school. I was in a lot of places to complete it but i was not able to for helth and other reasons. Now i am working with my health and working in 2/4 weekends. They say i do not do enough when i barely can get up of my bed after those 2 days of work. The wierd thing for me is when i am in active walking or driving a bike in silence or with music it feels like i am resting. The power of nature and the beauty of the word that is made by god is incredibe. Hopefully i will be able to get a job that i accualy can do and would be able to move out. Cause when you do what you are able to and it is never enough it is probably the worst feeling ever. God bless you all 👏

God never came out of his rest. Jesus took time off to go pray to recharge. All in the Holy Bible right under our nose.
The Lords day is my rest day. No work. No chores. No errands. Just peaceful rest.

@@urlyadoptr Jews had Sabbath, buddy. The Christian Church shifted worship to Sundays the first day because God should be first in our lives. However, he can be worshiped on any day if Sunday is impractical for unusual circumstances. It's not about the legalistic Pharisee "it has to be Saturday" it's about the spiritual intent to worship and honor God as he desires from us.

Sabbath rest is very important. It is a little more difficult with little kids running around but yes it needs to be done. God created the day of rest for us...in creation week. This is pre-law. Yes Jesus is Lord over the sabbath, and it is not about law keeping. But it is about not skip-able forever. When I worked 2 jobs almost never getting a day off of work I realized how much of a blessing sabbath rest is.

Silence is a great tool. Just had some of that after Mass this morning, went to the adoration chapel to be alone with Jesus. Even on crazy days, my regret is NOT to have spent at least some quiet time with Him. Work and life can drown you out but that's when it's most important to have that time of silence.

Exactly Taylor, that is why our Designer and Creator God, has given us six days to do all we want, but one to rest, fast and spend time with him, it is one of his "Top Ten" list of what is the most important from all he wants from us (Commandments), the thing is that we do not realize what that day is designed for, and instead we just call it a "going to Church" day and we even change the day to a different one. As Christians we can sometimes forget to take time to rest. That is, we forget to put aside our daily distractions and rest in Him. It is important to remind ourselves to do our daily devotionals, our "quiet times" with Him. It doesn't need to be lengthy periods of time. It can be a few minutes and be spent anywhere. God made us to need a rest day, to avoid burn out...: what I have found an extra blessing is setting aside specifically the 7th day, as Jesus did, for it says that God made this the rest day for us, too, by putting his holiness in to it, too. This is my experience; let us each truly plan a rest day each week, for being refreshed by God's presence and the presence of his holy angels, as well.

Whenever I read the comments not only under videos about religion but sometimes even regular videos there will always be a comment making fun of christianity. Thank you, "little sister". A pastor who mentored ME (he's now age 88!) stresses what you taught here. He pastored a large church. He went away for a special day with God at least 4 times a year. Americans have a tough time with rest. One of the devil's biggest lies is "God helps those who help themselves"... or in other words "DON'T rest". Remember the story of Mary and Martha in Luke chapter 10? MARY made the correct choice...to sit at Jesus' feet... to rest and learn from Him.

Well my family are catholic. I am trying to complete my school. I was in a lot of places to complete it but i was not able to for helth and other reasons. Now i am working with my health and working in 2/4 weekends. They say i do not do enough when i barely can get up of my bed after those 2 days of work.
The wierd thing for me is when i am in active walking or driving a bike in silence or with music it feels like i am resting. The power of nature and the beauty of the word that is made by god is incredibe.
Hopefully i will be able to get a job that i accualy can do and would be able to move out. Cause when you do what you are able to and it is never enough it is probably the worst feeling ever.

I deal with storms but my faith in God has help me so much my walk with God has been ups and downs mostly back in the day but I grew to be patent with God through storms and but I also spend time with God on good days has well not only bad times.
