That did it. Thank you
Same issue on my 19. After a rain my drivers side floorboard was soaked. Crazy how water was in the husky mats…
Use a strong plastic zip tie to clean out those weep holes
Good idea! Thanks a lot!
@@DS-TRUCKS I like your vids
@@on2wheels275 thanks!
I stuck a flathead into all of those holes on all four doors and pried it up a little to make the hole bigger. No longer happens. They just made those holes too narrow
Thanks! I have a 2008 F450 and had the same water in the door issue. Had to remove clips from the door rubber strip on the base of the door. Like a water fall issue resolved. Thanks for the assist!
What the hell no wonder the fords have rust problems, today i open my rear passenger door and it was almost half full of water,i removed the plastic drain plugs and use wire to clean blockage and release about a gallon of water.luckily my power window motors didn't short out.
My Escape has water inside of the rear driver side. I looked for drain holes, but i didn't see any.
Totally normal. The window seal is not designed to keep water out. Water enters normally through seal and out the bottom. Just keep the holes clear.
Interesting, never knew that.
The money we spend on these trucks, this is unacceptable. My truck did this yesterday after I went to the car wash. I used my air compressor with a blower tip to clear all drain holes. Glad my doors are aluminum
Leave those long oval rubber plugs out. It helps the door breathe. I had a buddy of mine from the Ford tech line tell me to do that.
Normally those rubber plugs used to be at the very bottom of doors though
Well it still has drain holes at the very bottom but they are tight clearances. I checked my 17 and clear.
Sean are you wiping the door jams after you wash the truck? I always do and wonder if that is keeping the dirt out of there enough to prevent this.
The bottom drain holes can get clogged with goop sometimes. This has happened to me on one of my doors on a F-150. No issue once the holes are cleared. Water comes out naturally after driving for a bit.
Use a shop vac with small wedge attachment to clean out that drain hole
I don't have that...
pressure wash into that hole maybe or compressed air, but those glasses did a good job.
Had the same issue with my 2019.
Just think if that was a steel door how bad corrosion would be..
That's exactly what I was thinking!
The water issue in doors is normal, keep the holes free of debri and it won’t be a problem.
@@jerry-381you have no idea what you’re talking about bro
Hey man, use non-ethanol gas in your lawn equipment; you will definitely see the difference in the performance of your equipment, not to mention the longevity!
I'm gonna try that.
That's all I run no no E85 crap. Your mowers would benefit for sure
non ethanol gas is like 20 times more expensive i believe, stabil fuel stabilizer is all i use. works great.
I've been running 87 for thousands of hours no issues. Idk If it would be worth going out my way to get
You can look up where to get non ethanol gas on this website.
www.pure-gas.org/
If you clogged it or block it it can be your built in portable water storage. Lol. On my 2020 f250 I don't have that rubber gasket that you pulled off.
Damn man! No issue in my 2020 250
how is that much water getting in there
What happens if all that water freezes? Does it deform the door?
yup that would be a mess, probably destroy the door.
It would be fine.
Man you can go 🎣 in your own truck 🤔
I know! I got tadpoles growing in my door!
@@DS-TRUCKS Right! 😂😂😂✨👍
soon will have to pour bleach in there to control the smell of mould in the door : P... imagine selling and during the test drive they say whats that smell.. nothing just the water in the door : P
Built Ford Tough..lol..another Ford issue that's years old and they do nothing to fix it..your vents our plugged Sean ..
It’s not a problem guy, it’s designed to drain water from the roof so you don’t flood your truck
@@americantrucknation4891 some people are just haters
@f - 150 KING OF TRUCKS ya he is probably the few that experience this cuz he actually uses his f150 to do more then just groceries, meanwhile the rest of us dont even park out in the rain : P
I have this problem in my 09 F-150. It's a nice truck but I'm thinking I may get one with a bow tie next
This doesnt even surprise me after the freezeing door locks recall f150 has. Henry Ford is just rolling in his grave. Dont use midgrade. it all comes from the same tank : P i literally water down my 87 octane with diesel. It doesnt even matter. : P
That's interesting...
@@DS-TRUCKS I mean in old scrap lawnmowers... its actually sounding like I ruined the motor though.. so dont recommend mixing diesel ! Got to the point it would not start because was too much diesel.. till i added some gas lol
i told you Sean, get rid of that ford!!!
Maybe one day.
@@DS-TRUCKS don’t get rid of it it’s a good truck.
