    Great build and I like your attention to detail. I’m struggling to decide whether or not to do soffits in cedar or anthracite plastic. The latter will cost less but that’s not the primary factor. I’ll be installing on my own and cedar planks likely to be more manageable than a deep 400mm soffit. Can I ask where you cedar and what width you would go for? My soffits and 400 deep to the front and 250 at the sides, this is the measurement to the batten and not the wall.

    Love the look you achieve with Cedar. Can I ask where you get it? And whether you've tried other profiles and sizes of tongue and groove as there are so many profiles to choose from.

    Nice job. Been following your videos lately. Not being funny but Is your build just a copy of oakwood garden rooms or do you do some aspects of the build different.
    Cheers.
    Moss.

      Hi Moss, thanks for the comment and thanks for watching the videos. There are hundreds of Garden Room companies in the UK and all the builds are very similar due to the regulations of permitted development. Oakwood Garden Rooms have a large TH-cam following and build really nice Garden Rooms, that’s probably why it’s easy to compare ours to theirs, not many other company’s are on TH-cam. More great content coming soon so be sure to get those notifications turned on 👍

    I’m about to do a similar build. 5x3m ..But regarding measuring do I need to include 4x2, 11mm Osb and roof battery the cladding of choice into account? As it’s internal can’t be more than 15m2 … long one but hope your understand

    • @creategardenrooms
      @creategardenrooms  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To get internal 15m2 you’d need to allow for 100mm walls on both sides, 11mm osb 50mm for double batten, 18mm for cladding, 12.5mm for plasterboard, about 4mm for plaster and 18mm for skirting. In short you’ll need to add 405mm for length and same for width to get internal of 15m2👍
      Why can the internal not be larger than 15m2

      @@creategardenrooms because I will be Upto my fence line with 400-500mm clearance. I could go closer but I thought that’s Reg’s with out getting planning permission?

    • @creategardenrooms
      @creategardenrooms  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@adamfearns7868 no you can go up to 30m2 as long as the exterior cladding closest to fence is made from non combustible materials. Such as box profile steel sheets ect.
