The best thing about you is that despite the hardship and the tough time you went through, you look at your past with compassion. You are neither sad nor angry because your first marriage was a failure or because didn’t have means to live a decent life for few years of your life. Your past experiences have shaped who you are today. An incredibly amazing person. May God protect you and your family.

Masha Allah, I didn't imagine one second what you've been through. I really would like to help people who are homeless, especially try to prevent the young people who were "raised " thanks to France state. More of 50% of the Homeless are from ASE in France. I think that our country should feel ashame to be so careless with his own youth. At least, I feel ashame and I woul like that my tax are used to prevent and stop homelessness. Your testimony is very precious. El hamdouliLlah you're fine now and thanks to your experience, you can alert about this subject.

Such an inspiring story for everyone that is dealing with tough times!
I will remember this story as a source of encouragement whenever tough times arise.
Indeed with tough times, there are good times.
We all are tested in this world in some way.
I am glad you managed to get a stable life after literally struggling for survival.
Now that i think of it, you were lucky enough to get a wife and work together as a team to cover up the expenses.
Of course your friends also did their part to help you, they are very valuable in times of need.
Now that i think of it, i do think it makes sense why you know Urdu since you married a Pakistani i guess?
Your journey is so inspiring, you have learnt about so many cultures at this time while being steadfast in your difficult times.
May Allah make it easier for you and your family to live in this life and the hereafter.

William, thank you for sharing your eye-opening life history. I wonder if you'd be able to tell your story at Eton College and all those English boarding schools that produce all the front-bench loungers in Westminster? Perhaps then we would eventually get people in government who are more attuned to the lives of folks outside their hyper-privileged bubble.

    • @williambarylo

Problem is, I'm not English and usually these people at Eton College only listen to people who share the same culture and accent! I'm no match for the gatekeepers!

Sometimes happiness lies beyond the chains. Hope you're friend to your wife, and she's to you, that's right now the most important. So, grow first the friendship, then love. Love is just like a nice colour on a paint, it makes more beautiful, but the art is the friendship. That's what a learned from your video clip.

You worked together as a team. A lot of family dynamics within especially South Asian marriages, the woman and the men have these rigid roles where man only does X and woman only y. This ends up being hand to mouth for a lot people and they have no hope for getting on the property ladder, especially if only the male is expected to be the only breadwinner. Not just the main breadwinner, the only one, the only income. It's not possible in the UK

    • @williambarylo
      @williambarylo  ปีที่แล้ว +2

Thank you. I think it's true for all domains of life from marriage, business to the arts, even if Social Media want people to believe that people can be 'self made'. Behind the vast majority of successful businesses and artists, there's always a team.

People who are fortunate enough to have all their basic needs met and then some, always strike me as the most misanthropic and anti social welfare. However, those who have nothing and then impressive inroads and manage to make something of their situation and themselves have legitimate reason to be grudge-bearing and staunchly resentful. But they never let it define them and their outlook in life. That's my surmise at least.
