Yes it's hard for sure, one of the fckn hardest things anyone will ever go through. It's scary. Get yourself some pepper spray at the very least maybe get two of them. They cost appx $8 each but well worth it. You can usually buy them in smoke shops or online or sporting goods or where they sell fishing and camping equipment. You can be kinda far away from someone and use it and aim for the eyes. You will have time to get away and get safe.
Try getting in a homeless shelter. Even if they suck and it may , it's safer and there's bathrooms etc and they help you find or get housing after many months and it's low income housing.
Walmarts usually have a “family bathroom” that most people don’t even notice but the door locks and it’s bigger and it’s a whole room to yourself. (And usually 24/7!)

He is trying to make believe that there is nobody that cares about me and he is my only resort. trying to guilt me in to doing something that I dont want to do. I will not degrade myself like that. Yes the person where I live is the narc. He tries to manipulate me and make me feel like I should be forever grateful for his letting stay at his house.. I clean, fetch fire wood, listen to him constantly gloat about himself and never have a chance to talk myself. Or if I do get a word in it is not heard. It's all I can do to not lash out at home but for now because of my three dogs I am limited on places to stay while I pull myself together. I just talk to Jesus a lot and pray. I will get through this. I have to.

The Salvation Army never helped me when I asked. One nigh not long ago it was about to pour down rain any min and I told them I'm homeless and needed blankets or jackets and they told me they had none. I was a female alone outside and almost a senior and they treated me like nothing.Ive never heard of them ever helping homeless get a place to live either.

I sometimes feel that I might be on the borderline of being homeless, because I live with 1 parent and I have no job, if I loose my father like I lost my mother I would have to a shelter, I guess I should brace myself for it.
keep going and look for opportunities and take advantage of every one of them. save save save. keep a month ahead of your bills at least. then you can advance your career. get a better job or a second job or part time business.
I don't know where you guys are from but there are homeless shelters like hope of the valley that provide shelter, food, resources and help you get back on your feet. I’m in a bad household situation, I’ve been sheltered for years and my dad is abusive, he won’t let me do anything. I don’t have friends to go to. I have no job, I have mental health issues, and I need a place to live because I can’t take living with him anymore. If I continue living in this house I’m afraid I might do something to hurt myself forever. I don’t know what to do or where to go. It’s a nightmare every day. I need a place to go

Im 25 year's old been married for 7 year's we been living at my aunts for couple years now and her brother is selling the house so wants us out in 14 days we own a 5th wheel camper but dont have proper vehicle to tow it out or any land to park it and here in NC ya cant just park n live wherever and prices of rv camp grounds are ridiculously priced idk what to do i have a wife 2 dogs 1 cat and myself i own and run a small landscaping company but only goes so far as i work alone amd have a DVT blood clot in my left leg so hard to make a living now of days we will overcome this and find a way somehow prayers to All

Here's an idea for homeless people to get money in a dignified way: Carry a plastic bag (in my city you can get them for free at City Hall), start picking up trash from sidewalks, train and bus stations, shop and restaurant fronts, etc., then show and tell anyone who will stop for you, what you have been doing, and/or wear a sign on you stating it and asking for a contribution for your work
Been homeless for a couple of months now have nobody and been trying hard. I don't have a drug problem just self esteem issues and all that type of bs. It's hard af I'm not trying to beg I would work or do something but half the people look at you with disgust and just hate.

Thank you for this video brother I originally typed this before finishing the video so please don't mind anything I say contradicting or repeating it: If you're already living in the city and you have your driver's license that's a great thing, you have great amenities in the city and if you have your license you can possibly live in a car/tent at a campground or something. North Carolina isn't doing their road tests right now and I live in a rural area so it's hard to find a job to move (I'm still living under my parents' roof, I would just like to move out because I find it more difficult to grow as close to Jesus Christ as I want to). There are also a lot more jobs in the city. Once you have money gyms are great for showers/brushing your teeth, laundromats for laundry, and if you need to charge electronics or web surf you can go to various places like McDonald's (charge stuff) if you buy some food or the library and you can do job and housing searches on their computers as well. You may be able to find an organization like the Salvation Army, DSS, or a church like mentioned in the video who can help pay for the gym membership and you can offer to pay them back once you can get back on your feet very soon. Once you secure a gym membership which should be less than $100/month (at Planet Fitness a bit of that's fees you don't have to pay every month), you'll be able to stay clean so you can get a job. I'd suggest working out as well for moral reasons and because exercise is great for the brain and mind. Remember to earn some money for some work clothes at a thrift store like Goodwill when you start working if you don't already have some. Straight Talk is my strong suggestion for a cell phone on a tight budget. You can get unlimited talk/text and a few gigabytes of data for $35/month and the phones are a little bit cheaper than retail. They have smartphones for under $60. I have AT&T now but I used to use StraightTalk for a year before I started at Walmart. Hallelujah on #9. I used to be agnostic but Jesus saved me from an unbelieving heart. Thank you Lord. Cell phone yes definitely useful beyond belief keeping it powered pain in the butt but recommend solar power station batteries or jump starters for cars work way better than the cheap little things to keep things charged good luck

My son his wife and dog are living in the car. I have a conservatory full of their stuff. They can't live here as there's just no room. I think my son has just found a new job but not sure how he can get help with housing. Last week he was in a shed.
Shoot I'm just rambling at this point but another good way to get by and survive is go to the whatever store and ask if you can sweep the back by their dumpsters or their sidewalks or whatever and exchange for something to eat right then and there they might even offer you a job tapping the friends of mine common courtesy in general respect go a long way

God owns everything and he love the poor. We live in a loveless world and when man is not obedient to loving there neighbor God intervenes but we must approach God with humility. The word says he exalts the humble. It may be hard but don't murmur and complain just be thankful regardless of your situation. Psalms 23 talks about how we don't have to worry and our valleys is just a shadow of death but we must trust the Lord and rest and obey and let him do the work. I'm in Texas. My tech job's contract was canceled, and now I work at Whataburger. Fast food simply just can't cover the bills. Sadly, rental assistance applications are closed as they've used all of thier funding, and the Homeless shelters (SAMMINESTRIES, Haven for Hope, Salvation Army) are all full here and have wait times from several months to well over a year.

If we do not nail it down, they will take it my garden wagoon, multiple car break-in, and a Catlic converter off my car. They just busted a window on his new van we just bought,etc. we just went into. So why is that, i pay for the 3 or 4 dollars you don't have left on your snap card. If i coupon the Sum amount l a possible dismissal. Give cash away all day every day . A young man about 20 or so flat out told me he was tired of stealing for nesseitey asked for shampoo so paid for ir.

My family is facing homelessness due to the high amount of rents and mortgages, we have never been in a situation, never gotten any assistance we never made much but just over the limit (by under 1000 bucks) in my state. They have NO help. There's waiting lists. And everything is packed. Living out of our car is all we can do. We had our son still in HS and was graduating we couldn't be in small car during that (my son is NOT small at ALL) he doesn't deserve this but he doesn't understand we can't afford to stay in this state. But now how do we go anywhere else I called every organization you can imagine and they are out of funds due to the homeless problem. Meanwhile- where we live theyre building 15 million dollar homes where middle class families lived now the town looks like it belongs in Orange County. It's not just even my family. Working class families are now the poor. And I've had one friend who suffered from mental health issues and when this happened unfortunately she couldn't handle it, she's gone. I suffer from the same mental health issues and I'm scared to death not to mention our kids like hate us bc we just didn't make enough money. They blame me for my disability (I don't think they understand. Especially when someone else is in their ear telling them I'm lazy. I'm not- I wish I was NOT disabled I hate it. It's ruined my life but we had a death in the family so of course when it comes to money, I have someone making sure we get nothing... they told me they no longer care me about and only tolerated me bc of the parents. I'm beside myself and heart broken he's turned my oldest son against me by saying I'm a drug addict. I told my son he drug test me whenever he wants I lost too many to that I'm not stupid I'm scared to take any medicine. But as long as my son thrives. Then I guess he can think what he wants. I just want him to be ok. We always just wanted better for our kids. We never imagined 20 years later we would go from happy- to homeless

Consider getting into a local community college. You'll have access to bathrooms, showers, and depending on your "ED Plan", financial aid, exercise facilities, library, ect.

I have no job, I have mental health issues, and I need a place to live because I can’t take living with him anymore. I have very little money. I’m worried I’ll lose my job due to the circumstances. Do you have any advice for me? Im 25 year's old been married for 7 year's we been living at my aunts for couple years now and her brother is selling the house so wants us out in 14 days we own a 5th wheel camper but dont have proper vehicle to tow it out or any land to park it and here in NC ya cant just park n live wherever and prices of rv camp grounds are ridiculously priced idk what to do i have a wife 2 dogs 1 cat and myself i own and run a small landscaping company but only goes so far as i work alone amd have a DVT blood clot in my left leg so hard to make a living now of days we will overcome this and find a way somehow prayers to All

Here's an idea for homeless people to get money in a dignified way:
Carry a plastic bag (in my city you can get them for free at City Hall), start picking up trash from sidewalks, train and bus stations, shop and restaurant fronts, etc., then show and tell anyone who will stop for you, what you have been doing, and/or wear a sign on you stating it and asking for a contribution for your work

I originally typed this before finishing the video so please don't mind anything I say contradicting or repeating it:
If you're already living in the city and you have your driver's license that's a great thing, you have great amenities in the city and if you have your license you can possibly live in a car/tent at a campground or something.
North Carolina isn't doing their road tests right now and I live in a rural area so it's hard to find a job to move (I'm still living under my parents' roof, I would just like to move out because I find it more difficult to grow as close to Jesus Christ as I want to).
There are also a lot more jobs in the city.
Once you have money gyms are great for showers/brushing your teeth, laundromats for laundry, and if you need to charge electronics or web surf you can go to various places like McDonald's (charge stuff) if you buy some food or the library and you can do job and housing searches on their computers as well. You may be able to find an organization like the Salvation Army, DSS, or a church like mentioned in the video who can help pay for the gym membership and you can offer to pay them back once you can get back on your feet very soon.
Once you secure a gym membership which should be less than $100/month (at Planet Fitness a bit of that's fees you don't have to pay every month), you'll be able to stay clean so you can get a job. I'd suggest working out as well for moral reasons and because exercise is great for the brain and mind.
Remember to earn some money for some work clothes at a thrift store like Goodwill when you start working if you don't already have some.
Straight Talk is my strong suggestion for a cell phone on a tight budget. You can get unlimited talk/text and a few gigabytes of data for $35/month and the phones are a little bit cheaper than retail. They have smartphones for under $60. I have AT&T now but I used to use StraightTalk for a year before I started at Walmart.

Cell phone yes definitely useful beyond belief keeping it powered pain in the butt but recommend solar power station batteries or jump starters for cars work way better than the cheap little things to keep things charged good luck

My son his wife and dog are living in the car. I have a conservatory full of their stuff. They can't live here as there's just no room. I think my son has just found a new job but not sure how he can get help with housing. Last week he was in a shed.
Shoot I'm just rambling at this point but another good way to get by and survive is go to the whatever store and ask if you can sweep the back by their dumpsters or their sidewalks or whatever and exchange for something to eat right then and there they might even offer you a job tapping the friends of mine common courtesy in general respect go a long way

N we have been living in our car n I have disability n I just need help getting in a place allows my pets I will buy it I am clean I just need a home. God owns everything and he love the poor. We live in a loveless world and when man is not obedient to loving there neighbor God intervenes but we must approach God with humility. The word says he exalts the humble. It may be hard but don't murmur and complain just be thankful regardless of your situation. Psalms 23 talks about how we don't have to worry and our valleys is just a shadow of death but we must trust the Lord and rest and obey and let him do the work. I'm in Texas. My tech job's contract was canceled, and now I work at Whataburger. Fast food simply just can't cover the bills. Sadly, rental assistance applications are closed as they've used all of thier funding, and the Homeless shelters (SAMMINESTRIES, Haven for Hope, Salvation Army) are all full here and have wait times from several months to well over a year.

My family is facing homelessness due to the high amount of rents and mortgages, we have never been in a situation, never gotten any assistance we never made much but just over the limit (by under 1000 bucks) in my state. They have NO help. There's waiting lists. And everything is packed. Living out of our car is all we can do. We had our son still in HS and was graduating we couldn't be in small car during that (my son is NOT small at ALL) he doesn't deserve this but he doesn't understand we can't afford to stay in this state. But now how do we go anywhere else
I called every organization you can imagine and they are out of funds due to the homeless problem. Meanwhile- where we live theyre building 15 million dollar homes where middle class families lived now the town looks like it belongs in Orange County. It's not just even my family. Working class families are now the poor. And I've had one friend who suffered from mental health issues and when this happened unfortunately she couldn't handle it, she's gone. I suffer from the same mental health issues and I'm scared to death not to mention our kids like hate us bc we just didn't make enough money. They blame me for my disability (I don't think they understand. Especially when someone else is in their ear telling them I'm lazy. I'm not- I wish I was NOT disabled I hate it. It's ruined my life but we had a death in the family so of course when it comes to money, I have someone making sure we get nothing... they told me they no longer care me about and only tolerated me bc of the parents. I'm beside myself and heart broken he's turned my oldest son against me by saying I'm a drug addict. I told my son he drug test me whenever he wants I lost too many to that I'm not stupid I'm scared to take any medicine.
But as long as my son thrives. Then I guess he can think what he wants. I just want him to be ok. We always just wanted better for our kids. We never imagined 20 years later we would go from happy- to homeless

that can be tough. many places will help you with that. Sometimes the salvation army will give you a temporary address. or a local church.
plus you might be surprised there was a guy who stole homeless guys social security numbers to put propertys into thier name to scam them then got loans on them and ran off with the money.

Consider getting into a local community college. You'll have access to bathrooms, showers, and depending on your "ED Plan", financial aid, exercise facilities, library, ect.
