Watching the video maybe it’s the film but Derrick shifted his car and it took some time before it actually grabbed the gear. I was wondering are trans setup to shift at a rpm or is it full manual valve body.

Ive been to rod run many times but havent hit up ponies in the smokies...yet lol. I plan to though. I am up in southwestern va bout 30-40 miles from the tennessee state line and 1.5-2 hrs from pigeon forge.

Frankie King precision 76mm single turbo, built turbo 400, 35 spline axles and spool in rear, full suspension, on e85. Has been high 5’s in the 1/8th. Still on stock gen1 longblock.

Speed Addict 731 thanks for the response and yes I saw it a few days ago. It got me really excited but at the same time made me wonder if it sounds like that because the camera was so close or not. I’m wanting that whine that you can hear from down the street. Lol. But so far from that video it did sound pretty loud. If you experience one in person with a really loud whine for the 2018 pleeeeeease make a video on it and maybe get some flybys outside of the car.
6ixSpeedStang18 yea the camera does pick up the whine pretty good when even you can’t really hear it. I watched the video with them inside the car and could hear it and supposedly that is there 93 octane safe pulley which should be pretty good size pulley. So I know when you pulley down it will be louder. I know when I watched the vid of the new gt500 doing a pull you could hear the whine outside. If I get around one I will definitely make a video. Don’t know if I’m going that route or turbo on the new car I have.

I would expect it to be 2012 in this video all these old used cars. The guys who sold them moved on to the s550's . Personally id rather have a new 10sec car than old 8sec car. I bet that guy spends 90% of take home pay on all bills.

That is a stupid ass comment bro. These cars are 7-8 years old they have an old school feel and a solid axle and some people prefer that and prefer the look. Also not everyone has to constantly have the new everything and constantly trade in their car and phones and everything else trying to make sure everything you have is the newest and "up to date" trying to keep up with the Jones and impress somebody are we? There is absolutely 0 wrong with a 2012 mustang, or even older mustangs hell the 60s cars are classics. I mean these cars have coyotes with forced induction on them it isnt like theyre running with a 1980 302 with a 2 barrel carb and 120 horsepower of fury...these are extremely nice looking, nice sounding, and very quick cars. Enjoy getting gapped in your "new" car when you roll up next to these "old" monsters. Gtfoh
