I’ve been using this product on my STI for the last year and I couldn’t be more impressed with it. As long as the prep is done correctly, then do 3 full coats of the dressing it lasts several months if not more. Over the last year I think I’ve put 2 more coats on the tires. Since then, I’ve done my gf’s Camry XSE, my sister’s civic sport and my dads 45’ diesel pusher. It’s been 4 months since doing the motorhome and the tires still look as good as they did the day I coated them. The key is during every wash, just scrub the tire with a cleaner (I use CG’s sticky wheel cleaner), once the tire is dry it looks like it got a fresh coat of the DuraDressing. I’ve tried just about every dressing out there and not only do they not last, but they fling all over your paint, or leave a nasty residue on your fingers if you touch the tire. The dura dressing dries within minutes of application and doesn’t fling or leave a nasty residue if you touch it. The prep is time consuming but I think it’s worth it for how long this stuff lasts. I will never buy another tire dressing/coating!
Iv used this product for a while or applied it over a year ago. I will definitely need to reapply this . The gloss shine is almost gone but it’s still shinier than other tire dressing. This product is great because every time I wash my truck, I don’t have to dress my tires and I don’t have to wait for it to dry . Dura dressing is great!
I have found for my $ and time the TW Graphene tire dressing has worked really for me. I do find it interesting that some tires - even within the same brand hold up better than others. As with EVERYTHING within the detailing narrative - exposure/driving conditions/garaged [or not]/weather etc. etc.etc...make the difference. And, there's plenty of that...
This is the one I use now to. It shocked me how good it is. Even after a few weeks the tire is still deep black looking, just without shine which is perfect. Applies super easy and prep is just normal prep for any tire cleaning.
@@jayhoughton558 yes, for my personal ride, the finish really lasts and keeps that nice flat black finish right from the git-go. As you mentioned - very easy application.
I’ve been using RenewProtect Blak and love it. It lasts for months and you can use it on so many other things. HIGHLY recommend!!!! Josh, try it out, I think you’ll be impressed
I've had great success with Dura Dressing, using it on three cars within the last ten months. I did put two coats of the Dura Dressing on the tires, which may have helped with the longevity. I only use PH neutral soap on my wheels because they're ceramic coated, so I don't need to worry about a high-PH wheel cleaner destroying the tire dressing. Great video as usual Josh.
It’s ironic running across this video, being I’m going to be buying a “permanent” type tire dressing & will be using a water base tire dressing to maintain that. I also got that from a video of yours (it’s a video of you I believe cleaning your Porsche wheels). So you definitely answered a question I kind of already suspected, but always nice just to hear it out loud. These are always great videos being it’s based on real word, as apposed to hear say with a quick demo.
New tires come from the factory with some sort of high silicone coating. We had a 2022 tundra that we thought was clean enough but the duradressing didnt bond and actually peeled like snake skin. We like duradressing so far especially on the flatter low profile tires but make sure you do the prep
yeah i have found that its best to just run new tires without anything on them for maybe couple hundred miles at least at then you get alot better absorption and visual consistency in any coatings.
I've just used this product, I'm ok with the shine, etc but don't get this on your rims, I missed wiping it off immediately and now I'm having trouble removing it without scratching my rims
I could see potentially using it on a new tire, but honestly don't think it looks all that great. If I am putting on tire shine every month anyways, why waste the extra time. Just my .02
New tires need a few cleaning cycles because of the mold lube that on the tires, cleaned 2 sets on our cars 4 months ago and used adams tire armor which I used my nice brush to apply it and cleaned it after with alcohol and the next day it was rock hard so it was ruined and the tire lasted about 3 months before I saw a breakdown in the coating but no brown color Thank God. I use carpro pearl at 3:1 for my other tires, lasts upto a month if you use a vary mild cleaner and applys in 1 minute with a makeup brush and looks awsome once it soaks in.
If you are a weekly washer, and dress your tires every wash anyway, most of these dressings are meaningless. Yet to find one that isn’t affected greatly by the rain, or cleaning the wheels. There are plenty that are easy to apply, and have a great look. I had been using Chemical Guys Silk Shine for years, then gave Darkside a try. Looked good first day, second day sheen gone after sitting in the driveway getting rained on at 3 times the price.
Do a test on a single tire with less cleaning just like spray brake buster on it and just clean it with your hands and nothing crazy and see how long that stuff lasts because I think you guys are going insane to get the stuff the last really long but I think it’ll last just as long with average prep with my results I’ve seen. I literally spray break posters on let it sit and just wipe it on my hands on the tires and it just gets the job done. You don’t have to scrub and go all crazy I know there’s a reasoning for doing what they’re saying I completely understand, but try to do the worst case scenario
You can buy a gallon of degreaser and dressing from them for less than $300. Enough for 70 cars which makes it a pretty good price per vehicle. Def worth the prep work.
Watched your application and first update and rhis video but im not super impressed. Guess i expected more gloss but im trying it out on my Maverick tomorrow so lets see
Tires do not get enough protection. Have you ever noticed when detailing that no one addresses the inner side of the tire just the outer. Guess, we should remove the wheel, do both sides, clean and coat the Wheel too, and finally clean the wheel well then put the wheel back on. Do the whole package, tire, wheel, and wheel well, maybe a step further is to wipe down the brake assembly area.

I might give this a try, I’m thinking about trying this on my boat trailer tires that sit a lot, thanks Josh 👍😁

What about interior products or tips and tricks? How do you dry the interior the best? Would you test multi direction fans like some detailers use?
2:00 Your working with a couple different “Blenders” 🤔 Definitely get checked for that 🤣 Great video

do you recommend ceramic coating for a vehicle paint?
Thank you ;)
Aún no veo disponibles los subtítulos en español, que pasa?
What’s the link for the foam cannon? The adapter that came with it won’t fit for my water gun thing.
Are the MJJC foam cannons in stock?
Have you reviewed ammo products?
Are you in SD?

Would you be interested in trying our's?
Would love you to try the carpro Tyre ceramic coating
Nice,I like the before and after experiment. Cant recall if youve done any other experiments that youve started Josh
Thank you for sharing this
You bet
1:33 you can still see it on there.

I applied it in 2 cars and lasted a year and 2 months on daily driven vehicles and washed with normal soap as maintenance or their cleaner, no APC

Blak and Gloz one year is best
Definitely not worth the time and effort
You need to buy American trucks.
