Am still a sony fan and only current gen console I own is a Ps5 and a PS4 before it... but Sony made some real compromises to PS3 hardware that made it age like milk in the +1080p TV era. 360 may have lacked a Bluray drive and CELL, but from a graphics and actually matters to gameplay; hardware standpoint 360 was a lot smarter and more forward looking. LastOfUs PS3 hardware looks ROUGH next to say Halo 4 360, both on 7th gen and same 4k OLED.

Any tv or monitor that has a higher resolution than the native content it's playing will automatically be upscaled to fit the screen properly. Sometimes upscaling can actually cause loss of picture quality though. It all depends how good of a scaler you have. Generally content will always look better at its native resolution.

You can still experience the game on Xbox. I recommend buying a Xbox series. The series s is easier to find in stock and cheaper. Series x is better though. I digress. Unlike PlayStation Xbox does a way better job at keeping their older games alive. Rdr1 still has online lobbies.
Sony had trusted Nvidia, that had contractual ties to Microsoft, and was let down with a poor gpu... so yes, PS3 could compute lots of people doing diferent animations at the same time, but Xbox 360 has better graphics... not really a deal breaker... at that time, people were having fun with a console that coudn't do any of this(Wii, a machine with slightly downgraded GameCube graphics)...
The problem with comparison videos is your tv display settings can effect how the game looks. Maybe the ps3 version could look better if the settings were adjusted. Either way though Xbox won. It cost less and still has online modes. The ps3 version is coming to ps4 for $50 but you can’t play online.

Theres the BIG problem you forgot that the PS3 run it like stuttery @ss. 360 version is far smoother and more consistent in performance. But sad as it is the PS3 hardware kneecapped it hard in the 1080p era, even ignoring it usually had the worse port.
I have a ps5 but i want to buy RDR for my xbox 360 just for the xbox nostalgia and the OG graphics it would be my first time playing it i fel in love with waching the gameplay and the fact that the xbox360 has way better graphics runs smoother better on every aspects than the ps3 is wild

It had to deal with inferior ports like this, not to mention that GTA IV was supposed to came out in October 2007 but it was delayed to April 2008 due for the complexity of the PS3 Cell CPU A lot of multiplats runs on PS3 on only one core and ignored all SPEs. Plus the split memory RAM of PS3 was problematic, if they want to use more than 256MB of RAM for the system or video. Then they are screwed up

there is an emulator RPCS3 and an xbox 360 emulator but I cant remember its name, you can download the roms from romsfun, it works well I would recommend it.
I own all versions, but PS3 is the one I played the most back in 2010, especially multiplayer. 360 is obviously slightly superior in resolution and frame rate, but I much prefer the PS3 darker and more saturated colors. Performance is quite on par, except in towns like Armadillo. It's an okay port, but of course it will look BAD after seeing this game on the Xbox One X at 4K with 16X anisotropic filtering.
I played RDR1 first on my PS3 slim, (bluray on fat died);. nah it was better even on old 360s. After 13 years got to play the 360 version, at a friends.. it is definitely higher res and sharper even on original 360 consoles; sure that doesn't matter for everyone because 720p or worse TVs were normal back in 2010. What does matter though; smoothness/responsiveness of the 360 RDR; even thick combat. RDR PS3 stutter and feels gummy often. That makes 360 RDR an inarguable definitive edition for 7th gen consoles, if you have a choice.

It doesn´t look that blurry on my tv. It may help that my tv is actually 720p (actually 768p native) with very few upscaling, delivering very sharp graphics to these old 720p games.

I’m also pretty sure ps3 has more glitches and I often get headaches if I play on ps3 so physically Xbox is better for my health 😂

Same! Resolution wise xbox version is better, but the atmosphere of the ps3 is impeccable. The ambience of the ps3 version is palpable.

Xenia emulator has been optimised for rdr now, you can now play it without Any frame drops

now that you've mentioned it, it really has a specific ambiance to it, a semi dark gritty western theme combining it with 30 fps dropping to 25+ fps
