All in-game footage from PS4, Xbox One and Xbox 360 has been captured with the same device (Elgato Game Capture HD60) with default settings, while for PS3 version we used Blackmagic Intensity Pro due to HDCP encryption. The resolution of Xbox 360 and PS3 versions has been upscaled to 1080p to match the PS4 and Xbox One versions. We also used default game settings and console settings on all platforms.
In our opinion, the graphics are practically the same for both the Xbox One and the PS4. The only difference is that Xbox One has a darker contrast - which is something you can also set on PS4 by enabling the Full RBG Range in the Video Output settings. We tried to do that and we can assure you that the game looks identical on both versions.
We have only noticed that on PS4 there's more foliage and plants in the sea and on land compared to the Xbox One version, while Xbox One has slightly shorter loading times.

Lets be honest:
360 has a huge framerate drop but not frequent (max 30 min 14) with decent graphics. 720p
PS3 has frequent but not huge fps drop ( max 30 min about 20). Graphics are decent but blurry. 720p
PS4 and XBO: Nice graphics, even less frame rate drop (Av 28) but ps4 version has more physical properties (LED and controller speaker) while unfortunately xbo does not have any physical probably as far as I know. Both run at 1080p
PC: (as far as everyone knows) 60+ fps and 4K support and video editor.

PlayStation 4 = More vegetation, however, with color graphics lifeless than the One;
Xbox 360 = Brighter colors and better textures than the PS3;
PlayStation 3 = Effect "blurred" and lifeless colors compared to 360.

Honestly I’m still surprised to this day that this game was playable on Xbox 360 and PS3. I played it on 360, but when I played it on PS4 for the first time, it felt like a new game.

The Ps3 holds a special place in my heart as it was my first console to have online gaming. Though the graphics look dated, you can't deny its still impressive that games like GTA 5 is still able to run on it.

When you look at the Xbox 360 and PS3 next to their successors, yes ok they look a little dated but honestly when you actually play the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions without comparing to anything you sort of forget and just appreciate it for what it is, I mean wow, for console made from 2005 - 2006, this is super impressive! Okay let's be honest, the PC version will look only marginally better at max settings. The only advantage to the BASE GAME is that it will have a video editor, which is admittedly really cool... but that's it, there will probably be no new features, i heard something about a few more songs, but yeah that's it. Even after all this, you'll still need a VERY powerful (aka, expensive) computer to play this game at the graphics quality of the PS4 version at 60fps.

you can manually change ps4 settings and tv setting to get that effect, xbox basically has a filter on their console to output like that thATS all it is

Its because GDDR3 has less latency issues than GDDR5, the xbox one used a 1.75mhz cpu x 8, wheres the ps4's is 1.65mhz x 8.. xbox is better when it comes to cpu tasks. Which makes the lighting better. All in all it actually makes the XB1 look better.
I changed the settings on ps4 to make it look like Xbox one. I kind of liked it but there was a dirt road and it was completely white with no textures. Also interior of vehicles were pitch black with no texture to see. Ps4's contrast is balanced and is better

There were two games that I can think of off the top of my head that had steadier frame rates on the Xbox One: CoD: Advanced Warefare and Assassin's Creed Unity.

This capture makes the Playstation 3 version look much darker than it really is. In reality, I prefer the colors and vibrance on the last gen machines much more, even though the newer machines are technically more "realistic" due to everything always being so hazy.

I completely understand that previous GTA V games are outdated now, but Rockstar really did create something amazing. They managed to build a game that looks incredible with limited hardware capabilities. GTA V on the 360 will always be one of my favorite games.

Don't worry about it, time-of-day and weather differences at the time of capture! Also possibly capture mistakes such as limited vs. fullrange RGB. There probably isn't an actual difference between PS4 and Xbox One versions outside of chosen level of detail and rendering resolution, should really hit the same colour.
You can make the ps4 a little more colorful by applying the full rgb option in the settings however this compromises quality where on xbox it doesnt
It just kinda looks like a color bleach, I'm not sure if it's the trade in for better details of some sort but I go agree the colors are lacking in some places.
Play Station has always fucked up on thing on their graphics, they brightin the fuck out of everything and I don't know why the fuck they do that. Seriously its so obvious to see that Ps3 and ps4 was always BRIGHTER and its not debatable. That's reason why I say Xbox still looks better and always has, where ps4 MIGHT have a amazing looking game like fucking final fantasy, comparing any normal game Play Station has always looked brightend and duller because they brighten it way to fucking much. Maybe if the brightness didn't dull the fuck out of the colors it would be better but that's not the case.
XB1 has a better contrast than the PS4. I agree, the colours look washed out and too bright while XB1 looks vivid, has better light and shadows and the colours pop. Most obvious is at 0:25.

I'm a pc player, but the ps4 by far looks the best in every way out of the consoles. Textures, lighting, foliage, ambient occlusion, the effects are there.

If the current gen of consoles runs GTA 5 in 30fps, how can last gen consoles run it at 60fps, let alone 1080p. The PS3 could support 1080p on the XMB Dashboard not in games, which is quite impressive since the 360 had 720p.

The main reason why the PS3 and X360 versions still holds up so well is because the PS4 and X1 versions have this stupid white tint, which looks like a fog, on the backgrounds which just makes everything less lively.
The X360 stands out for being more lively than the rest, as it cranks up the colors and brightness on top of not having this white tint.
PC stands above all of course, but that's another discussion.

The ps3 version of the game was supposed to look a little bit better than the ps4 version. But because of the hardware limitations, the ps3/ xbox 360 versions had so many foliage and graphically intensive models removed. Although ps3 version had better graphics than xbox 360's, it had slight inconsistency in fps.

360 has a huge framerate drop but not frequent (max 30 min 14) with decent graphics. 720p
PS3 has frequent but not huge fps drop ( max 30 min about 20). Graphics are decent but blurry. 720p
PS4 and XBO: Nice graphics, even less frame rate drop (Av 28) but ps4 version has more physical properties (LED and controller speaker) while unfortunately xbo does not have any physical probably as far as I know. Both run at 1080p
PC: (as far as everyone knows) 60+ fps and 4K support and video editor.
