      Standard rim height is 10 feet/120 inches. If 53 inches is distance from top of his head to rim, that means he is 67 inches tall, which is 5'7. Only way he is 5'4 is if this rim is 3 inches lower than 10 feet.

    • @hex-2748
      @hex-2748 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@johns7530 it is 9'9" Rim. As stated in the description. They always indicate the rim height at the description.

    • @maybemaybemaybe8449
      @maybemaybemaybe8449 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@johns7530 He DOES not have a 50" vertical as stated at the end of the video. The title was clickbait obviously.
      But if you actually watched the video and read the description you will see that the rim is 9'9", Ty almost hit the foam roller but does not.
      This is how they theoretically measuring his vertical to be almost 50"
      But with some more training, it is attainable.
      Ty is still a freak athlete regardless how you spin it.

      @@junsinator971 Actually fast twitch fibers don't even matter that much. Some fibers are a certain type and always will be but a large percentage of your fibers are actually changable. You can turn slow twitch into fast twitch (a sizeable percentage of them anyway). A study was conducted that found that the only difference between fiber types is the signal the CNS gives them. Also, beyond that, fibers aren't even the most important thing, your nervous system being able to call enough fibers is. Anyone and everyone can train their CNS to call more fibers and use more strength that they already have by putting max effort into jumps and reps. And even beyond that, even if you have terrible fast twitch genetics, you can also increase your max strength and be a "strength jumper". Muscle fibers only really determine which jump archetype you are. Now that's not to say genetics don't matter at the 50" level but I guarantee you most if not all people can get to 40" or more. It CAN be trained
