Christmas here in the Philippines is almost back to normal. With parols hanging on houses and street light posts, heavy traffic due to mall sale, Christmas trees with lights , sunny day with cold wind blowing. Awesome💥 Nothing will stop Christmas Spirit👼 bringing joy, comfort, healing and peace. Merry Christmas to all.

One of the reasons why Paskong Pinoy (Philippine Christmas) is the best and memorable is that most Filipinos are devoted Catholics or Christians. We value Christmas because it is the day that God 🕊️💐 given us the greatest gift the world 🌍💝 has received. And your right 😊. It is the birthday 🥳🎉💐 of our Lord Jesus Christ our savior and redeemer. We highly value it because the Holy Family (Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph & Baby Jesus) symbolize the bond between everyone and every families 😊❤️

Christmas carolling was one of the best things that I looked forward to during Christmas season in the Philippines. I and my friends would sing christmas songs expecting to get at least a 1 peso coin from our neighbors. Then we would divide what we got equally.
Maybe this tradition is lost now.

This is a very lively and interesting video in comparing the differences in Christmas celebrations between the 2 countries.
I see how Jolly you all are, excited and seems to be having an enjoyable experiences in the Philippines. I'm curious and hope you guys make a video on "How have your experiences in your stay/studies in the Philippines changed you personally?". Are you happier, less stressed, and emotionally expressive compared to before your experiences in the Philippines? I see on other videos from foreigners, students or professionals that after their stay there (Pinas) after a certain period of time that they feel they have become happier person because of the jolly nature of the Filipinos. Has this characteristic nature rubbed off on to you? Maligaynag Pasko at Maningong Bagong Taon sa inyong lahat!😊🎄🎅⛪

The very reason for christmas break, so we can spend quality time with family and friends. Priority of course is the family more than anything else.. it is tolerable not talking to teachers and classmates during christmas but if you don't have a family to talk to..that's really sad.. that's how it is in the Philippines..when you think of Christmas, family automatically comes to mind and the desire to be with them specially if you are an OFW

I remember some of my classmates tried the trend of gifting each other with something useless. Some of the gifts they received that I can remember are one bycicle tire and baby diaper. It's so funny, I wanna try it next time with my friends.

that is why it’s more fun in the Philippines because people there are super friendly and very fun to be with and you will not only enjoy staying in Philippines but the memories you will have there is incomparable to any other countries because even if it’s a poor country the people there are rich with love and so memories are their great treasures. Only in the Philippines they love to eat and generous to food feasts they don’t worry on how much they will spend on food as long as they are happy eating together with friends and family and they don’t care about diet. Only in the Philippines they are not pressured on problems and don’t dwell on loneliness and be depressed because they ignore it and it will passed anyway because they believe the world is round (bilog ang mundo literally translates in Tagalog) what comes around goes around, better luck next time. Or if someone bring them down they just let it slide and Let it be, it will passed and let Karma do the thing to those who offended them and believe that someone who is a bad person will suffer for the consequences in God’s time something like that. Only in the Philippines strongly believe in hopes and have strong faith in God by praying as their ultimate survival whatever problems they encounter like financially, emotionally and even in times of disasters in nature like super typhoon or an earthquake you can still find them to smile and stand still to start again for they know God will still give them hope and the Pinoy culture of tulungan or bayanihan is one of the best Filipino traits (next to being happy people that always give you a pleasant smile) they are the most helpful very considerate people in the whole world. That is why most foreigner going to Philippines always have great experience visiting or even think to stay and living for a a long time in the Philippines because they love the Filipino hospitality and it’s culture from fiesta festivals to different countryside and the whole nation celebrating Christmas starting from the “ber” months is long Christmas season.

Also to add on for the exchanging gifts, Manita Monito- is that 9th day before the Christmas party, everyday the teacher will tell the whole class to bring for your partner/the person you draw with "something long" or something short", "something big" that will be open during the day of the party. So you have to prepare something everyday.

Christmas in the Philippines is highly emphasized because of our Christian religion. There is commercialism involved of course, but there is the anticipation and a reminder of the reason for the season and that is Jesus is the reason for the season. “Christ-mas” should be celebrated in a huge and special way. Religion is deeply seated and plays a huge part of the Filipino culture, which I think many filipinos are happier, joyous, and resilient due to part in their faith.

Party here in the Philippines is not only in school but also in a village & in barangays & at work ļķk theres also fun games like sack race , karaoke, sharing of foods tru potluck, & dancin on the street. Caroling almost all children gather in a group & go house to house singing Christmas carols in exchange of candies or money. We all experience & enjoyed it during our childhood. The most important is going to.the dawn mass for 9 days with family, neighbors or friends even its raining. The church was full of people up to outside the church. Children are going to their godparents house to receive gifts. Having family reunion you can meet even your relatives lives in the provinces far from your place a lots of festive foods like ham, Queso de bola, morcon, bdrbeque, relyenong bangus. Fruit or macaroni salad, pansit, bico & others Filipino delicacies. We exchang foods with our neighbors.for me CHRISTmas is the happiest time of my. Life!❤❤❤

Christmas is always joyful for me
But Christmas is not complete when you didn't know exactly what it means,,, because we didn't celebrate if we didn't know it.
When I was young I always thought that south Korea and other countries is not a Christian, but I searched it deeply, that not the all people from not Christian country is not a Christian, I mean to say is there's still a Christian out there
    But let me tell you
CHRISTMAS IS A CHRISTIAN HOLIDAY TO CELEBRATE THE 'BIRTH OF' "JESUS" the central figure of Christianity. ... Most often, the word Christmas refers to Christmas Day-the day on which the holiday is observed, most commonly December 25. The day or evening before Christmas is called Christmas Eve.

5:09 I think it's called Monita Monito here in the Philippines while it's called Manito(마니또) in Korea. Correct me if I'm wrong😂

Good comparison Guys. But you forgot to say that Korea is not a Christian Country like the Philippines. Because CHRISTMAS is derived from the Name of JESUS CHRIST. All the Non-Christian Countries also celebrate Christmas in a small way for their Christian Citizens, tho very few compared to the rest of the populace. In the Middle East Countries which are practicing Islam, their celebration is nothing but a Commercial thing and also for their thousands of Christian Employees. Happy Holidays Guys!!!
