What?? I'm 31 and I saw them live with Slayer in 2004 when and this album was new. I know damn well I was 12. we are almost there though and I don't need the reminder lmaooo
This is legit one of my favorite songs. There's a clip on YT of the band playing this on the old Jay Leno Tonight Show, in full gear, beating on kegs and all. I love the idea that the people who normally watched that show had NO IDEA what to think about it. 🤘😆👍
Hey! Another metal and jazz/r&b fan over here. I think it’s always great to listen to multiple genres of music. Makes you be able to appreciate it on much deeper levels. System of a down, slipknot (especially taking in the first two albums!), George Benson and esbjörn svensson trio are my favourite artists right now :)
Some fans tend to rage when I say this but... there is a familiar approach to Slipknot & Ghost. Melodies are king and that is what makes them so accessible. Also, both bands have been crapped on for not being "metal" or "metal enough." Basically, don't write a good song and you're cool... in metal troll reality.
Dude Slipknot is Jazz. 9 dudes who are in a chaotic harmony. That’s jazz. Trained ears hear the harmony normal people hear jazz and Slipknot the same loud chaos
Stone temple pilots is a Washington band with a lead singer from Ohio. How is that a California band? California has a lot to be “proud” of. Stop claiming other state’s recognition! Edit: it’s like Californians try to claim Slipknot and they are actually being from Iowa.
STP is from SAN DIEGO. That's SAN DIEGO CALIFORNIA. Scott lived in Ohio for a few years while he was a kid but was born in San Jose (CA!) and moved back to CA for high school. The DeLeo brothers are from NJ. The band met and formed in California.
@@JustinPanariello So they are even less California than I said? These bands are great and should be celebrated worldwide, but California’s and New Yorker’s have a bad habit of acting like they are the reason for their existence. Another example is Parliament and Bootsey Collins clearly all Midwesterner’s, except George Clinton(Virginia), somehow became West Coast music.
Slipknot - Before i Forget
I was born where these guys are from and my history teacher was the brother of longnose aka Chris Fehn. Love my boys!
Without jazz we wouldn't have metal. Have to respect jazz.
This album is 20 years old this year... It just doesn't seem that long ago...
Oh god, why did you have to remind me about that I started listening to Slipknot right before this album dropped.

Same age as me, I love Slipknot and especially thrash metal. 😁

I push my fingers into my eyes. Like we do with a headache. Jesus it never ends. It pushed its way inside. If the pain goes on I’m not gonna make it
